@kidxlolz, why is it that almost every thread I visit here on a daily basis, you're either b*tching, arguing with someone, or both? It's rather pathetic and becoming an unnecessary annoyance. Difference between a discussion and bitching, arguing. Feel free to block me.

Difference between a discussion and bitching, arguing. Feel free to block me. From this thread alone, it turned from a discussion into an argument rather quick. I was attacked fairly quick. I guess it's a good thing my post count didn't come exclusively from here then. Like I've already stated. I like to debate, in a civil manner, which I do a lot. Somebody like you might interpret that as bitching and arguing, but it's far from it. I do not like having to justify everything I post to half a dozen people. It gets incredibly frustrating, especially when the reply posts to me get even more disrespectful. You want to have a conversation or debate? Fine. You can do it in a respectful manner. Check the Styles thread. 7 pages of civil debating and discussion.

He said, she said. Now Punk will have to prove his allegations. Which ultimately, could be bad for WWE. they'll skate and blame it all on the doctor, mind you, as they always have in the past, but it'll bring more attention to WWE's practices. That's not how the American court system works. The burden of proof is ahead on the accuser. The doctor made accusations, not out is on him and his legal team to back them up. I would imagine WWE will be having him on this since he's their doctor.

This could get interesting, CM Punk wears his heart on his sleeve (almost literally) and I believe there were more complains about Dr. Amann in the past

This is interesting. Was expecting this to happen at some point after Punk's comments.

This is interesting. Was expecting this to happen at some point after Punk's comments. Yeah... me too. Punk is basically saying the Doctor is a liar and not fit to work - but we've only heard one (pretty biased) point of view... it should be interesting to hear Dr Amann's side of things and see how things develop.

I'd be really interested to see how this pans out on the evidence side of things. Lots of medical records to dig through I'd imagine.

Lawsuit? Punk and WWE??.... This can only mean one thing...
WrestleMania 31: Punk vs. Otunga!
...
Seriously though I would imagine the doc has had a lot of advice on this and feels he has a case. It's not like he woke up one morning, took a leak, got some breakfast, watched some tv, filed a lawsuit, had a shower, got dressed and went off to work.
From what I remember, Punk said about wrestling when he could have refused to. Like the royal rumble he got the concussion in, you can see the refs talking to him and I think he said they wanted to eliminate him early but he wanted to stay in.
Don't really care for this thing much anyway. It will take months/years to sort by which time I would have complete forgotten about it.

I don't have a ton of investment in this myself, but it almost seems like its going to dissolve pretty quickly as long as Punk can prove that the other doctor treated him. Pretty simple. If anything it wouldn't surprise me if the WWE gets him to drop it, just to avoid anymore bad press.

This is just going to damage Punk's relationship with the E more and more. If he can get solid proof that they continued to mistreat him, WWE are pretty much ed in terms of this lawsuit.

I have my opinion...most of which has been stated already in this thread. I will say this however:
All this is doing is putting Punk into a bigger and bigger spotlight. All this attention--these stories, allegations, etc--is just making him a bigger name. Call his methods mad, sure, but this whole sequence of events since he's left WWE has done nothing but good for him as a business man. Good for him.

Punk strikes me as a lot of things, a liar isn't one of them. Absolutely this.

OK, with the staph infection, that is going to be a he said/ he said thing. Im not even going to try to give an opinion on that. However, Punk was out of line when talking about the concussion test. Im not sure exactly which one he took, but there is a reason they wanted him to go run the ropes afterwards and he should have been compliant with this. The reason they wanted him to run is because if someone has/had a concussion, they must follow a protocol. In this case, he was obviously symptom free, so therefore he goes to the next step which is performing certain exercises to elevate his heart rate. This will sometimes bring on previous symptoms of a concussion. If this is the case, he is not cleared. If he had ran the ropes and was fine, the doctor would have either said "ok you didn't have a concussion'' or "its good you are symptom free, you now have a five day period in which you elevate your heart rate and take a few bumps and make sure no symptoms come back before you are cleared".
