I think the Cubs thing was just a rumor (not that I'd be surprised given the attire's purpose). Jakks released the UF statue with the same attire. I own it, and it's awesome:  Christ I loved UMF. My Sabu is like, a prized possession even if not rare. lol Sabu is the only one I have left. My Jeff Hardy lost an arm a few years ago and that's when I called it quits on him, I lost all his turnbuckle pieces anyway |

Have I ever felt cheated by Jakks?
MANY times......very few occasions made me as angry as the changes made to the TNA Scott Steiner figure though.....that was diabolical.

Two things happened to both Scott Steiners in the TNA line. The 1st, they showed the TNA Steiner with full kick pads and all of the designs on them. What came out was different. It had the snow boots, but had all of the designs. It made for a weird look. The other, they showed a Steiner Brothers figure, and a proto even made it on Ebay last year. But they never released it. We were so close to finally having a complete Steiner Bros. |

the effort jakks would put into things like t shirt designs and just overall attention to detail during 00-02 before the ra series started was unreal. I think the ra bodies looked better, but this was when jakks became almost scared to paint the backs of figures and would start cutting corners whenever they could the classic superstars rockers were  ing terrible. For me though the real kick in the teeth was the way they half assed the line for the last year, year and a half then expected us all to jump on board their tna line. It used to drive me crazy when Jeremy would come on here telling us how this next series is the best thing ever, everyone would be lining up to give him a reach around, only for said series to come out, be half assed, not like he said it would and for him to disappear for months........ But he would always come back to hype everyone up again and people bought into his bs. |

If so then yeah because they used the short kickers & like Jericho he was shorter. I didn't mind though because they were accurate and looked right unlike laced boots. But with DA? There was no excuse for giving him short kickers......it f*cked up those figures. |

The only times I ever felt cheated by Jakks was when a 5 plate Championship Title Belt only had 3 plates. For example:
WWE World Championship Title Belt (Smoking Skull)
WWE United States Championship Title Belt
WWE European Championship Title Belt
TNA World Championship Title Belt
TNA Tag Team Championship Title Belt
I'd like to also add all of the Jakks (and Mattel) Kids sized Championship Title Belts to this list.

This also reminds me of another similar story: I was really looking forward to getting this set, because I wanted a new, more accurate RA Undertaker, and Edge was in a really cool attire.  And instead we got this gem: g~~60_1.JPG?set_id=880000500F) I got it for Xmas that year and was thoroughly disappointed. So instead of a brand new headscan for Undertaker (which was never ever seen again), we got the same old tired one. His boots were supposed to be tall laced, but he came with the usual inaccurate tall kickers. His tights logos were supposed to be golden, but were flat orange. Would this be the same headscan from that picture? This was the only time this headscan was used to my knowledge.  |

RA 25 Shawn Michaels royally p'd me off. I was so looking forward to this:  Which then became this:  Safe to say I passed, but hated that he wasn't made like that. I never did like when they changed all HBK's to the non-accurate tracksuit leg mold. So we never got him in the correct pants mold like in the first photo. A lot of things went on like this. Half painting figures was a staple of figures being released in 2004. Christian in normal clothes had no pattern on his back, Billy Gunn (his only ever RA) had no lips on his shorts on the back, Ultimo Dragon had no dragon skin effect on the back of his tights... Even Trevor Murdoch released in Arenaline 21(?) had a plaid shirt, that was left plain white on the back. That was in 2006, so they still did it every now and then. I guess there is a way to do a head swap but I know what you mean. |

The last classic series was a complete joke from Jakks, they could have gone out on a high but just used up spare parts. That was probably the most cheated I felt.
