MDT: Lack of effort or lack of ability?

I really dont think the head looks that bad. I think what is throwing everybody off is that Sting's hair IRL is very thin and its hard to make someone that has thinning hair in figure form. The figure has a legit full head of hair. I think that's what is throwing people off.

That looks like a million bucks compared to the actual figure we got. No detail whatsoever. Black shoes and all red shirt. Icky. I still <3 mattel.

I don't mind the head/face. I think it looks like him in the face paint. I think it's the pic angle that makes it look odd. Hell I don't even mind the molded on shirt as much as most, but the think that does bother me the most is the scorpions placement. If the just placed them correctly with only the bottom of the scorpions showing with the rest being "hinted" as under the I would be so much happier with it. But putting the scorpions on the crotch like that just looks horrible.

I am sure they wanted to give us the whole scorpions, but then scrap the shirt or just give him a removable one and scrap the coat of they couldn't include both.

I didn't call them lazy and I don't need to have the figure in hand to say having the scorpions body's on his crotch and pads look like cr@p. I am sure that is like that because they wanted to give us the full scorpions. But that looks nothing like what he wears 95% of the time. They should have just given us half scorpions if they were going to make a molded shirt. At least that would look much more accurate.

I never noticed that, because I was to focused on the untucked pant legs that night. lol but the shirt was black that night!

But now I can accept those tights more. (I still don't like it, but I can accept it)
Do you have a pic of him in that singlet with the red shirt? If so then I will have no complaints as it will be accurate.

The OP is 100% correct. This figure is an embarrassment.

It's Sting for crying out loud. The main issues are the headscan and the steroid arms. Good to know they totally ignored the arm complaints from the DM figure.

That headscan looks worse than headscans from 2010. It might be the worst headscan of any Mattel figure.

Plus Sting is suffering from steroid syndrome. The man is 56 years old. He isn't jacked!

The rest of the figure is okay. I'm okay with the shirt and the fat man calves.

Bill should apologize if this is the end product. I preordered this. I'm very close to cancelling my order. I've seen customs that are 100 times better.

I think they got it right(for the most part). If you imagine the shirt un-tucked, the little scorpion legs line up.
It was his RAW debut, so it makes sense to immortalize the moment.

I might get that Sting just cause I was at that Raw.

All I have to say, is it better look not as bad in person. Because it looks bad,in picture.

But I ing hate rubber coats. It ruined the only post wm20 Undertaker i tried to buy. It tore trying to get it off of him. He couldn't move his arms. They're ing cocooned in it in the box. They're so terrible...
