WWE is a joke. Im starting to understand the critics over the years when I read things like this. Its sad and pathetic and a real lack of creativity when they have to resort to these angles. But then again with the recent ratings, desperate people do desperate things. I hope the ratings take another tumble.

Think about past feuds that had the most passion to them, they were based on reality! The simple fact that Paige said that about Charlotte's brother has angered fans, and they want to see Charlotte get her revenge. If Paige would have said, "you are a horrible champion and you shouldn't even be here on Raw" and Charlotte attacked her.... who cares?? That isn't anything that is gonna make people want to invest in the story line. But you take something real, like Reid's death, and you have Paige say what she did.... that's real. That's emotion. I swear that you wrestling fans sometimes forget what makes a great angle and story line in wrestling. Good example of using a real life situation for a storyline - CM Punk's 2011 contract situation Bad example of using a real life situation for a storyline - Paige's mention of Reid Yes, for it was Paige who mentioned Reid.... not Charlotte moments before when she was crying her freaking eyes out over her dead brother. You fans get so butt hurt over anything real now a day.

Talking about it either in a positive or negative light is what WWE wanted. It worked.

You really can't argue with her, particularly the hashtag #cheapheat. Thats exactly what it was. It was mild though in comparison to what Punk did spreading Paul Bearer's fake ashes on Taker so soon after his death or Bossman hijacking Big Show's father's casket at the funeral. In some strange way I'm sure Bearer would have been delighted with still being included in that storyline. Man had been in the business for years. Unlike Reid. That whole segment was awkward.

No, what would make it uncalled for is if Reid's name wasn't even brought up and Paige said out of no where, "You will lose just like your brother lost at life" or something along those lines, then yes, that's uncalled for. But what you 'fans' - and I use that term loosely - seem to not understand is, that by Charlotte and Paige talking about Reid, it's a way to include Reid into this, a way for Charlotte to pay tribute to her brother, a way for people to remember Reid some way or another. In the early 90s, Eddie Gilbert ran down Jerry Lawler with a car. He legit hit Lawler with a car, Lawler went flying over the hood and down to the pavement. All for a wrestling story line. At the end of the day, it's a story line. And I am sure Charlotte, Paige and Ric Flair himself is happy how it went down last night. It got people talking and it has invested a want to see the Divas match this Sunday.

Context doesn't matter, using someone's literal dead brother who only passed away a couple of years ago is totally unnecessary. They could have easily built the feud up around something else without even touching family. It was classless, not needed and quite frankly, stupid. What do you mean by we "fans"?

Truth be told, I'm on the fence with this one...
On one side, I think they went too far. It was not needed. And dead people should not be used to further a story line.
On the other, I love it when heels pull no punches. I love it when they cross the line from time to time. Sometimes we need more of that.

Don't bother trying to reason with him. WWE can do no wrong in some people's eyes. I love how people claim that "it made the feud personal," when they forget that this feud is about two best friends becoming bitter enemies. You don't need to resort to such cheap heat to make the feud personal, when it already had the potential to be very personal. If you have to resort to bringing up the real-life death of a family member to make a feud interesting, then you're a crap writer. While we do need more of heels pulling no punches, you don't need to bring up the death of a family member to do it.

I can see both sides of the argument. Personally, I'm just amazed how about sucky that entire segment was with or without the comments about Reid.

WWE took a chance, and it paid off. This makes people want to see the Divas! This is too late though, they should have done something earlier. This is one week before the PPV, why not build it up?
Anyway, this may haven't been the nicest thing to do, but it got a reaction from people! Now, if WWE goes out and says "Sorry WWE Universe" this whole thing would be a waste. I am glad they did something to shake things up.

The majority of people didn't care about The Divas before that segment, and they don't now.

What do you think hurts Charlotte more, mentioning Reid, or mentioning David?
