Come off it. Fans are ridiculously sensitive. Charlotte and possibly Ric probably agreed to this before it happened. It's happened before and it will happen again. It's disgusting and it made this feud more about hatred than just 2 catty girls being bitches. It had no place closing Raw, but man, everyone wants to see Paige get her ass kicked, so it worked.
Also, Charlotte lost every bit of charisma Ric had on the way. She might be Flair by name, but by wrestling talent, she is not. She's always on the verge of crying and.talks.like.this. It's ridiculously bad. I have no idea why they picked her over Sasha to be the champion.

I understand Charlottes mom not being ok with this if she didn't know about it beforehand. But the casual wrestling fan...to each their own. As much as people have constantly clamored about how great The attitude era was, there's no possible way it could work today considering people are easily bothered by anything and everything. That's honestly one of the things that made the AE work so well. It came at a time when the world was completely into that style (South Park and Jerry Springer were huge in that era). Now it just wouldn't fly because everyone has to be super PC all the time. Every single other show on primetime is pushing the envelope.

Mocking the dead is mocking the dead but Ortons comment about Eddie was far worst if people want to get uncomfortable for what Paige said.

I guess what we have learned from this, is that for some wrestling fans to be entertained, the bad guy has to say, "I hate you!" and the good guy say, "Those are words that are not nice. Therefore I must avenge this by having a match with you." Dare the WWE crosses any lines or anything. For years the fans have wanted WWE to get edgy and when it does, the fans cry like babies about it. I take it you wrestling fans weren't around in the ECW days, or the Monday Night War days, because a lot more horrible, spamisted stuff took place then. "We love the Attitude Era! PG!" then the minute WWE does something edgy "Nah man, too far! It's not right!"

However, the WWE tends to market itself as something similar to pro sports and a lot of guys are seen in that fashion. While a show like the Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, etc. can push the envelope, anything that an athlete does is extra scrutinized. It's why you can have someone super racist on TV, but when a former athlete like Hulk Hogan says something, he gets in a ton of trouble.

One hundred percent had it happened on nxt it would be the be all end all greatest of all time five star promo/segment and you couldn't tell anyone different. A heel takes personal shots at a face. That's why the face goes over the edge and wants to kick the heels ass. It's called pro wrestling. It's been going on for years.

Woah there man, you're gonna get Paige heat yourself for saying that about NXT. Lol. I can't stand Charlotte. But after that, I want to see her win. It worked perfectly for the feud and made me want to see Paige get her ass kicked.

It worked perfectly for the feud and made me want to see Paige get her ass kicked. He made a similar argument yesterday about people saying the segment should not have closed Raw. This is what he said yesterday. "Had those same spamo divas closed an nxt the interwebs would be losing their minds." I responded with this "If the program in NXT was deserving of closing a show, yes. If the program in NXT was built the same way as this, it would have also felt out of place and dumb. There's a reason the Sasha/Becky contract signing didn't close an episode of NXT. It was because the feud wasn't as high profile as some other stuff happening on NXT at the time." His response was "cool story." So yea. I totally get that a lot of people are blinded by NXT and would love any and everything that happened on there. I'm not denying that. But there are a lot of people, myself included, who don't see it that way. If that Paige/Charlotte segment was on NXT, I would 100% feel the exact same way about it.

It simply didn't deserve to close any show. The only thing I've seen people say about this entire feud is Paige's comments yesterday. NXT gets some seriously undeserving love, and WWE only used it to close the show because of the Rousey story and the whole 'women in sports' thing WWE is trying to show off. It was dumb to use this to close the show (or any show) for sure.

Why do i think the Divas segment main evented Raw just for that Reid line? There is no other reason why it should've closed the show.

To anyone using "Oh, but you guys want the Attitude Era back, right?" Guess what? The AE did dumb sh*t, too! They had stupid storylines that shouldn't have been done. Like funny enough, the Show/Bossman angle. It was dumb, and pointless. Just like what happened on RAW last night. Quit using the Attitude Era as a defense for every tasteless thing WWE does. I don't want the AE to come back, i just want good characters, good feuds, and being given reason to give a about these people. What happened last night wasn't any of that. It was dumb, pointless, tasteless, and it did nothing for all involved. I'm done with this topic.

TNA, the same company a few years back that had a girl say AJ Styles raped her or had sex with her and such and it was a horrible story line. And nobody bought it, not one fan. Yet, Paige said what she said about Reid and every fan is in an uproar over it. Case closed, WWE did right and people are talking.

Besides, if you really want to go there, what happened in that storyline was all kayfabe. They didn't bring up the actual death of someone. And once again, any publicity doesn't equal good publicity. Because if it did, then WCW 2000 must've been a success, because everyone talks bout how bad it was. People calling what happened on Monday stupid, doesn't mean they care about the match Sunday.

Well, this never would have happened if the guy didn't become a drug addict and die from a heroin overdose.
So, yeah, I blame Reid.

The whole segment was just meh in my opinion. Not a main event segment. I was watching Raw with a friend and as soon as Charlotte started talking about her family and her brother I said straight away "dead brother comment from Paige coming up" and then a few tedious minutes later it happened.
I don't get why people get all sensitive about it though. Ric and Charlotte obviously agreed to have that in there. I just think it was out of place, never mentioned the brother before then last minute throw it in to try and make people care a bit more. But people want heels to be more despicable then as soon as they say something a bit too far everyone throws a fit. You can't have it both ways.
