he'll have a group of guys he won't ever be able to be positioned above in WWE. Who is in this group? At this point: On RAW: Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, and soon to be Main Eventer Drew McIntyre. On Smackdown: AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, and Randy Orton. I'm not saying Kenny Omega would be treated badly in WWE, even Finn Balor who fans are OUTRAGED at his usage had the most TV wins of any WWE Superstar according to statistics that WWE put out in a social media post....but would fans be happy with Kenny Omega JUST getting wins and not TITLES? Finn Balor spent ONE DAY as WWE Universal Champion due to an injury, and in 2 years hasn't gotten another Title. Not even the IC Title during his feud with Dolph and Seth. That shows you how WWE feels about Finn if they'd rather keep a Title on DOLPH ZIGGLER. Kenny Omega going from IWGP Titles and Main Eventing Wrestlekingdom's to being a WWE mid-carder who occasionally has matches with the upper tier guys but loses is not a scenario that I see the fans or KENNY OMEGA being happy with. But who knows. This is all just assumptions based on past usage of guys coming in from other promotions.

I think he should give it a shot. Obviously it can go very wrong, like how Nakamura and Balor are treated, but as epic as he is in NJPW, he could start treading water after awhile.
Hes at the right age and popularity level that to make the maximum effect and stand the best shot he could at being treated right, he should strike now.
And if it all goes wrong, he could just cash in for several years ans then return to njpw or aew afterwards and do a bunch of fresh match ups.

Reading from a few websites that he’s going to AEW. Kind of underwhelming.

Reading from a few websites that he’s going to AEW. Kind of underwhelming. If he does, he's an idiot IMO. Staying at NJPW would have been great as well, but turning down the money WWE is rumored to have offered to go to AEW is dumb. He could always end his career in AEW, but i say f*** it, take the money. I doubt Tony Khan is offering the same

I see talk of WWE jobbing out top guys from other promotions. I mean... AJ Styles was WWE Champion for a year. Daniel Bryan is the current champion. Samoa Joe may not have won the title, but he's only really lost to top guys and has headlined multiple PPVs. Finn Balor is literally undefeated in singles PPV matches. He has been directionless, but not a jobber. Kevin Owens has been a top guy since arriving on the main roster. Sami Zayn was never going to be a guy who goes unbeaten or anything like that and was consistently a main part of TV. Shinsuke Nakamura never won the top title but is US Champ, has a clean win over Cena, and only lost to about four or five guys. I'm not seeing it. Exactly. It’s not 2006 anymore where we see some top Indy guy get a stupid name and gimmick and immediately get fed to Matt Morgan on Velocity. Right now we’re getting a long term feud between AJ Styles and Bryan Danielson for the WWE championship. 10 years ago that would’ve sounded like fan fed nonsense. WWE isn’t going to pay Kenny Omega an absolutely ridiculous amount of money to just do nothing. And if I’m Kenny, from a creative standpoint, what does AEW have to offer? You’d be having matches against a lot of the same Indy and Japanese guys you’ve been going against for years. I’d have to think matches against Styles, Cena, Bryan, Rollins, Balor, Owens, Orton, McIntyre, etc would be much more alluring.

You guys saying Omega should go to WWE should be ashamed. You have a company trying to create something new. To compete with WWE and give guys a job AND someplace else to work...leverage against wwe. And you guys are talking about his wrestling matches...this is so much bigger than his in ring work

I’m not concerned either way. Omega is great, but there’s nothing he brings to the table that the WWE doesn’t currently have.

I hope he doesn't sign. While it would be cool to see Omega in WWE, the wrestling business is better with competition. But wwe is afraid of competition.

I dont buy the Balor comparison. His fans shouldn't be outraged because he is used perfectly. He is a big enough name to just throw out there, but literally has zero charisma and believability to be a major player.
I think with Kenny he has a snarky charisma and a powerful move set that will let him hang with the big boys if he decides to. He looked like a million bucks with Okada and Jericho. My only worry is he is iffy on the mic.

I find it very odd, the notion that Kenny Omega shouldn’t go to WWE because he’ll be held down because of Bryan, Rollins and AJ. It’s some very confused internet fanning.

it's tough to say if Omega will do well or sink in WWE. I know he was mulling going there when AJ, Nakamura and Gallows and Anderson jumped ship but stayed loyal to New Japan.

He’ll be a.) set for life, b.)quite possibly making the most money out of anyone NOT named Brock Lesnar or John Cena and C.)will be wrestling matches on a big stage against AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Seth IN’ Rollins, Dean Ambrose, (possibly) Triple H, (Possibly) Kurt Angle. And with the money they are investing in him, you’re kidding yourself if you don’t think he’ll be first priority. Being with friends and stuff is great. And wanting to “possibly be the start of something special” I get it “Be Elite”. That’s all fine and good. But being a top guy in the company synonymous with wrestling to most of the world, wrestling the biggest stars, and making enough to quite possibly be MORE than set for life, and even more on merch and action figures and game appearances (which I’m pretty sure AEW won’t be having for a couple of years) is the best path to go. As everyone said. Get the big money and mainstream name recognition and THEN go to AEW. That’s the smart business move. We should be ashamed because we want to see quite possibly the greatest wrestler in the world today show his craft on the largest stage of all while he’s still young and in his prime? Pffft... outta here.
