Monday Night RAW January 21st, 2002 Hosts: JR & LawlerJR opens RAW and says there was no sign of abruption from the impact of the pedigree on Stephanie last night so it's good news but isn't a medical doctor to decide whether this is a good thing long term. He says he's disgusted as to what Triple H did. A statement on the titantron from Triple H: "I want to first apologize to all the fans out there, what I did last night was unforgivable. In the heat of the moment, my ex-wife interupted my match trying to make me lose and somehow all of my anger and my hatred for what she did to me, how she cheated on me with that good for nothing redneck, I overreacted without realizing she was carrying...(sigh) I never meant it, and I have to do what is right and I apologize to the McMahon family and my ex I'm sorry, but as for you Stone Cold Steve Austin, you don't deserve an apology, nothing will make me say sorry. I hate you, I hate you more than you know."Vince is in the office with Stone Cold who is pacing back and forth wanting to know why Triple H isn't showing up on RAW. Vince says that he wants to fire Triple H but isn't going too because at No Way Out on February 17th, he's going to give Stone Cold an opportunity to destroy Triple H in a Hell in a Cell match for the Undisputed WWF Championship. Chris Jericho walks out to a hot crowd. Jericho: Welcome to RAW is Jericho...The World Wrestling Federation with Never...EEEEVAR be the same again! The Ayotollah of Rockalrolla, Y2J has won the Royal Rumble against 29 other competitors last night and I am now the No. 1 contender for the Undisputed WWF Championship and at Wrestlemania X8... Vince walks out on stage. Vince: Jericho, you got NO Chance in Hell at all to become the Undisputed WWF Champion. I mean look at you Jericho you look like a damn hippie and I hate hippies dammit, so tell you what Jericho, how about you save yourself the embarrassment at main eventing Wrestlemania X8, a main event where all the greats, the Hulk Hogans, the Shawn Michaels, the Stone Colds have main evented or have won championships... Jericho: Why don't just shut the hell up! Vince: No dammit you shut the hell up quite frankly Jericho I don't care what you think, because mark my words there is no way in hell you're going to main event Wrestlemania X8 and at No Way Out your spot as the No. 1 Contender will be up for grabs o believe me Jericho when I say this, it's going to be a big one and you'll find out soon enough who or whom you will face.

Monday Night RAW January 28th, 2002 Hosts: JR & Lawler RECAP: Smackdown Vince ordered a rematch between Jericho and the Big Show, but ended in a countout with Show getting the win over Jericho and Vince was thrilled.
Stephanie returns to RAW with rage as she struts much like her father looking for Triple H who is set to be at RAW. As she enters Vince's office there are flowers, chocolates and cake everywhere. Austin appears with flowers saying how sorry he was. Steph says she wants Austin to destroy Triple H tonight. Austin says he'll do whatever she wants. Jericho is in the back looking for Vince and finds him in the bathroom stall going number two. Y2J: Hey Vince I've gone something to say to you. Vince: (frightened) Umm...look we can talk later...let me just ahhhhhhhh damn this constipation (Vince gets out of the stall). Now look this is no place for us to be talking how about you step in my office (tries to leave but Y2J grabs his arm). Don't touch me... Y2J: I need to know who my opponent is at No Way Out. Vince: In due time... Y2J: No I need to know now. Vince: Damn you Y2J you'll find out when I tell you... Y2J attacks Vince! He grabs Vince's head and throws it in the toilet flushing it three times (though we don't actually see it)! Vince is screaming and Y2J leaves. After a commercial break, Vince's head is all wet and he's trying to wipe it off and rushes to a stall to go No. 2 signaling his constipation is over. Triple H def. Maven via DQ after Stone Cold Steve Austin rushes out and beats the living hell out of Triple H. Austin is relentless, he grabs a chair and smashes it five times on Triple H (from the head to his body)! Austin tries to lift Triple H up and lands the stunner. Stephanie looks on stage watching and nodding happily.

Monday Night RAW February 4th, 2002 Hosts: JR & Lawler RECAP: Smackdown didn't have Jericho as Vince suspended him for Smackdown for his actions on RAW where he flushed Vince's head three times, but it had Austin cut a promo about how he is going to destroy Triple H at No Way Out in a Hell in a Cell match.
To close RAW, Vince and Stephanie are out in the ring and talk about No Way Out which is two weeks away. Vince says that he can't wait to see Triple H's career end as it should have when he was last injured. Vince says he's proud of the Undisputed WWF Champion Steve Austin. Vince says last week Jericho embrassed him, but the only reason why he didn't fire him was because despite Jericho's assault he did break his constipation (fans laugh). Vince: Dammit I can't wait to see Jericho's head on a silver plate because at No Way Out when he faces...(Y2J walks out and gets in the ring) Y2J: Vince I've given you all this time, o hey Steph (winks at her and she's disgusted), how about you reveal to me who will be my opponent and Steph you really should get out of the ring (she leaves right away). Now as for you Vince, I'm tired of it so tell me who is it going to be. Vince: Alright I'll tell you, I'll make it simple for you...dammit like I said there is No Way in Hell you're going to Wrestlemania, so at No Way Out you're opponent...are the initials of No Way Out....(drops the mic and leaves). Y2J: N...W...O? ...N...you can't be serious right? Is this like a game of hangman? Tell me something Vince, is this a name or is this who I think it is? (Vince laughs as he walks up the aisle). It can't be....(JR and Lawler wonder if it is who they think it is as RAW goes off air)

Monday Night RAW February 11th, 2002 Hosts: JR & Lawler RECAP: Smackdown had Vince forcing Stephanie to marry Stone Cold Steve Austin. Steph isn't attracted to him, but Vince says because she's still pregnant and the McMahon child survived the pedigree because it's a "McMahon" in the oven, she has to marry him, plus she betrayed Vince when she joined the Alliance and tried to destroy the WWF, making her feel guilty. Vince convinces Austin and Austin proposes to Stephanie. Steph looks at her father and agrees and the Wedding will take place on RAW.Vince is out with Stephanie and they talk about how tonight it's going to be the wedding of the century as the redneck Steve Austin will marry his daughter cause it's the "right thing to do". Triple H comes out to a mixed reaction. Triple H: Funny, valentine's day is so close and Steph this was supposed to be our time remember? Remember how we spoke about it? How we were going to make it our day? Vince: Dammit Triple H you have no business being out here and if you dare ruin this wedding tonight, you're fired you hear me... Triple H: You really don't get me do you Vince? Triple H kicks Vince and pedigrees him! Steph backs to a corner. Triple H points at Steph and grabs her hair to much heat. Jericho runs out to a pop and attacks Triple H knocking him out of the ring. Triple H leaves as Steph is in a corner. Vince is back up and thinks Jericho did something he screams it him. Jericho asks him what his problem is. Vince: (shouts) Damn you Jericho damn you to hell! (Jericho shakes his head and leaves and JR shouts how he was just trying to help). Backstage Vince forces a match between Triple H and Jericho for tonight and if anyone interrupts the wedding tonight they're fired. Austin arrives in the building in Austin gear and a bowtie to go along with it. Vince tells him he should dress better but Austin says he promised Vince he would never wear a suit ever, and that his is just who he is. Vince says it must be a redneck thing and says just be there and marry his daughter. Austin finds out what happened earlier with Triple H. Chris Jericho fought Triple H to a No Contest after Austin rushes out and Triple H goes on the offensive attacking Austin on the outside. Jericho shrugs his shoulders and leaves them to fighting even trying to move out of there way slowly. Backstage Jericho finds Steph before the wedding and asks if she's sure she wants to marry Austin. Steph says Jericho is a low life, but Jericho responds that it's about time she got married, but tells her that if she cheats on Austin like she did with Triple H, Austin would do worse things to her than she could possibly imagine. This confuses Steph. The Wedding is taking place in the ring with Austin and Steph. Steph is confused and becomes a runaway bride! Austin looks upset as Vince is furious that she would run away from her own wedding. Vince heads to the back and one of the stooges who were at the wedding told Vince it was Jericho who must have convinced her. Vince is sick and tired of Jericho and cuts a promo revealing that this Sunday Jericho will not be taking on one person, but THREE, the New World Order, the same people who destroyed his competition, and are back (here Vince plays that the nWo was his idea that he sent Nash and Hall there) and it will be a handi-cap match.

No Way Out February 17th, 2002 Hosts: Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler RECAP: Smackdown Feb 14 Austin gave out so many flowers and goodies to Stephanie. Steph says she doesn't want to get married, but will allow Austin to support their child. Vince still wants Steph to marry Austin. Jericho wasn't on Smackdown.
Hollywood Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall open No Way Out as they get into the ring. Nash says that they're not back in the WWF to cause any trouble. Hall says it's great to be back in the WWF and that tonight they're going to punish Jericho. Hulk Hogan says it's been a long journey to get back home, but he's home now and tonight Hollywood Hogan is going to Wrestlemania when they defeat the puny little Chris Jericho. Hall and Nash start trashing Jericho as a "little guy" who couldn't even make it in WCW. On stage out comes Jericho. Jericho: O look a bunch of has-beens from a bygone era, didn't WCW die? You're not home, you're in the wrong place. You see I think it's unfair to go into a handicap match to face three guys at once and as much as I wanted to complain to Vince about how wrong this is, when I look at you oldtimers, I don't mind it at all because I'm going to kick your a$$e$$ tonight (the nWo laugh it off) Later Backstage the nWo attacking Jericho in the locker room! Jericho gets his head rammed on the locker by Nash and they beat him down. Jericho is hurt till some of the WWF boys enter and they run off. The Undertaker looks pissed off and doesn't like it one bit. Chris Jericho vs. the nWo (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall) in a Handicap Match for a shot at the Undisputed WWF Championship at WrestlemaniaThe nWo are in the ring waiting for Jericho. Jericho comes out looking tired and is patched up on his forehead. Jericho doesn't look happy as Hogan starts off first. Hogan is on the offensive, till Jericho manages to dive off the ropes for a clothesline and land a lionsault on Hogan. Jericho doesn't pin him as he tries to get back up. Hogan manages the tag on Hall. Hall is on the offensive till Jericho is whipped to a corner and Hall rams into it face first as Y2J got out of the way and goes for a roll up to two. Jericho jumps Hogan and Nash and hits the ropes for a reverse bulldog. Jericho goes for the lionsault but lands on Hall's knees. Hall makes the tag on Nash. Nash is now on the offensive and throws out Jericho as he distracts the ref giving Hulk and Hall time to beat down on Jericho and throw him back in. The Brothers of Destruction watch in the back and Taker tells Kane that they can't watch these guys who almost put the WWF out of business try to ruin their hard work. Taker and Kane make there way out! Nash continues the assault on Jericho. Hogan and Hall confront Taker and Kane trying to shake their hands but the Brothers fight them off! Nash is distracted, Jericho lands a lowblow on Nash and gets in the small package for the pin and win! Winner: Chris Jericho via pinfall to become the No. 1 Contender for the Undisputed WWF Champion at Wrestlemania X8 at 12:44. Jericho is out of it as Nash snaps and lands a jackknife powerbomb on Jericho. The Brothers get in the ring and Nash jumps them as Hogan and Hall get in to save Nash. Jericho jumps in and it's an all out brawl till the nWo leave. Taker shakes Jericho's hand as Kane goes to the outside daring the nWo to come back in. Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) (w/Stephanie) def. Triple H to retain the Undisputed WWF Championship in a Hell in a Cell Match at 24:22
after Triple H "accidently" fell from the top of the cell (JR thinks it was staged) for Austin to climb back down and stun him for the win.

Austin is in the ring and talks about how he destroyed Triple H. Austin says he's out here to talk about survival, and how ever since he broke his neck he's been about survival and last night as no different and at Wrestlemania he will triumph once more when he beats that good for nothing Y2J. Backstage Hulk Hogan and the Rock meet face to face, Hulk offers the Rock to join the nWo and later the nWo attacked the Rock for refusing. RAW closes with Chris Jericho entering the ring and talks about how he humiliated the nWo and at Wrestlemania he will humiliate Austin. These anthologies are very interesting to say the least. They're written in a manner that would make sense. I'm really interested in how Jericho as the face of the WWF ends up going. I have to admit the Bret Hart as the Third Man of the nWo was one of my favorites and was done in a manner that made sense. Keep up the good work.

20. Rick Rude wins WWF Championship
It has been said by many that Rick Rude is one of the top deserving WWF stars that had never won the WWF title. What if he did?
It's Summer 1990, Vince holds a meeting and looks at the numbers, they aren't so great as he had hoped. Wrestlemania VI didn't do as well as he had hoped, the ratings are in trouble. Saturday Night's Main Event on July 28th, was the worst ratings the program as ever had since 1985 and WCW Saturday Night has beaten Prime Time and All American on some weeks. Hulk Hogan was busy with movies though he's coming back for SummerSlam. Vince wonders should we really just go back to the past? Maybe this Warrior thing isn't working anymore? Something radical has to be done, something that hasn't been done in the NY territory since Superstar Billy Graham...a babyface chase?! Patterson and Prichard debate about the idea, but Vince decides not to bring it up anymore.
It's SummerSlam 1990, Warrior is meant to go over, Vince watches on commentary after Hogan defeats Earthquake...he sees the crowd leaving. Were they tired he asks? No this can't be? "We need to shock the world....let's shock them dammit!" says Vince who struts into the back from commentary quickly letting Warrior know the outcome is changing that night....

SummerSlam 1990 August 27, 1990 Philadelphia Spectrum (19,304) Hosts: Vince McMahon and Roddy Piper Second of the Double Main Event:
WWE Championship Steel Cage Match: Ultimate Warrior (c) vs. Ravishing Rick Rude (w/Bobby Heenan)
Warrior knocks down Rude and lands a fist from the top rope. Warrior dominates Rude, Rude tries to climb out, but Warrior stops him. Rude now works on Warrior with several punche sand kicks, whipping Warrior into the cage. Warrior slams him into the cage making him bleed. Rude goes for the Rude Awakening, but Warrior counters it. The matches continues with Heenan trying to help Rude by opening the door and pulling him out, Warrior manages to drag Rude back in and slams him to the cage hard. Warrior now tries to leave the door, but Heenan slams the door on his head. Warrior is bleeding, Heenan gets in the cage but Warrior grabs his hair and throws him over the ropes. Warrior hits a huge shoulderblock from the ropes and goes for the climb. Suddenly the Barbarian, Haku, and Mr. Perfect run out as Warrior is about to go over the cage and they start to climb to fight Warrior off at the top as much as they can. Haku and Barbarian fall but Perfect and Warrior go at it. Heenan who is hurt crawls over the door as Rude follows him. Heenan notices Rude struggling and grabs a hold of him, dragging him out of the cage door for the win! Winner: Rick Rude via cage door to be come the NEW WWF Heavyweight Champion
The crowd is in shock as Piper is in disbelief along with Vince who shouts about how Warrior was screwed by the Heenan family. Warrior is angry and throws Perfect into the ring. Heenan grabs the WWF title and hands it over to Rude who celebrates but they run off leaving Perfect behind for Warrior to man-handle. Warrior gorilla presses Perfect and runs out of the cage chasing after Haku and Barbarian. Post-Match interview with Mean Gene: Gene: I can't believe what has transpired here! If I could get a word with the new WWF Champion, Rick Rude (Rude and Heenan come in)... Heenan: I told you so I told the world! This is the man that beat the Ultimate Warrior and once again has beaten him a second time to become the WWF Champion. After all these years, after all I have suffered through I now manage the World's Heavyweight Champion! Rude: I did it! I did what they said was impossible, I beat the man who beat Hulk Hogan, I beat the man fair and square, so for all you fat, out of shape, losers who can't satisfy their woman, you're looking at the future of the WWF who is all man, and all champion (Heenan laughs with Rude as they leave) Gene: I can't believe it!

Prime Time Wrestling September 10th, 1990 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan Monsoon: You can rewatch the shocking ending of SummerSlam 1990 on Coliseum Home Video releasing on... Heenan: Shocking how is that shocking? Rick Rude won the WWF Championship fair and square... Monsoon: O give me a break, you had the whole Heenan family in that ring to stop the Ultimate Warrior! There was no way that Rick Rude could've won that match without a little help... Heenan: Face it Monsoon, you just can't handle that I now manage the World's Heavyweight Champion and the Ultimate Scum is a crybaby... Monsoon: Who is out on a vengeance against the whole Heenan family last I hear! Heenan: And they'll be ready for him... Brother Love Segment with Dusty Rhodes:
Rhodes talks about how sad he is about Sapphire taking Ted Dibiase's money at SummerSlam. Rick Rude walks out with the WWF Championship (this was taped just days before this show). Rude: Why don't you just quit your whining already there, Sapphire had a price and who would want to be with a blob when she could've been with a real man, but hey she sold out for money but she would've sold out for this body just as much.... you see you don't deserve to be interviewed by anyone, you're looking at the World Wrestling Federation Champion, so how about you scram and leave and let me talk because I got a lot to say.... Dusty: Brotha you got a lot of nerve let me tell ya that... Rude: (looks at the TV screen), all of you at home don't adjust your television set because what you're seeing is the real thing, a fat overweight blob who likes polka dots and thinks.... Dusty strikes Rude, Rude fights back till Dusty rams Rude unto the podium! WWF Officials run out to stop them.
Monsoon: Tel me something Brain, what business did Rick Rude have out there? Heenan: Don't you think the WWF Champion deserves TV time? If this was Hulk Hogan you'd be giving him the whole show if you had too, so Rude deserves it. Monsoon: O give me a break....

Rude: Look at you, trying to follow in the footsteps of your fat overweight blob of a dad, ha, well I got to say you look out of shape yourself, be careful now because sooner or later you'll grow a big beer belly like all these good for nothing, out of shape, common men who would only dream of having a body like mine. You see kid, I'm out here to tell you that even you can get in great shape, even you can come out of your dad's shadow and into greatness kid so how about it, whatdya say, let me show you the ropes, let me train you to be the best because you're looking at the best, the WWF Champion... Dustin: No wonder they call you Rude...because you are... Rude: Is that the best insult you got (laughs) you got a lot to learn about trash-talking unlike you're old man.... Heenan: Think about it there kid, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, you're young, you got a whole life ahead of you and we're willing to give you a shot, join the Heenan family and we'll take you to places you couldn't dream of! Dustin: If you were the last manager on earth, I'd never join you (Rude slowly turns behind Dustin), I'd never even dream of being.... Rude strikes Dustin from behind with the WWF title! Heenan: (laughs) Do you honestly think we would want you? (laughs) Rude starts stomping on Dustin constantly and leaves.

Saturday Night's Main Event October 13th, 1990 (NBC) Hosts: Vince McMahon and Roddy Piper Vince: What a night we have for you, Dustin Rhodes, the son of Dusty Rhodes has issued out a challenge tonight against the WWF Champion Rick Rude despite going against his father's wishes. Dusty Rhodes is standing by as he has this to say... Dusty: Baby tonight is the night when my son has a chance to shine, although Dustin you as stubborn as me, the fact is you wanted this but mark my words Rick Rude is no walk in the park daddy... Dustin: I'm ready for him dad, after what you (Rude) did to my father and tried to humiliate us after what you pulled at the Brother Love Show, tonight I'm going to show you why this rookie, the son of the legendary Dusty Rhodes is going to shock the world by winning the WWF Championship. <cuts to Rude and Heenan promo>
Heenan: (laughs) You have to be kidding us Dusty, your boy is now in the big leagues but he's nothing but an amateur. Rude: The fact is Dusty Rhodes I know all about you, you're a legend I admit that, but legends fall and become myth, and tonight when I'm done with your boy your legacy will be washed away and everyone will remember you as a fat overweight blob who had no business in the ring with a real man. Rick Rude (c) (w/Heenan) vs. Dustin Rhodes (w/Dusty) for the WWF Heavyweight Championship.Dustin jumps Rude as soon as Rude gets in the ring with his robe on. Dustin fires lefts and rights in the corner, Rude counters with an irish whip and a big clothesline in the corner. Rude goes for a rude awakening but Dustin reverses and lands a kick for a suplex as Rude roles on to the outside embarassed. Rude gets back in slowly and Dustin hits the ropes, but Rude uses the ropes to his advantage to have him fall over to the outside. Rude breaks count and works on Dustin. He slams him into the ringpost and lifts him up dropping his head on the steel steps! Rude trashtalks Dusty who is angry. Rude gets in his face till Dusty punches out Rude! Dusty dances with the wave lands as big punch. The referee however kicks Dusty out as WWF officials walk out to take him out. Rude and Dustin are in the ring as Dusty is arguing with officials and tries to get to the ring but is forced to leave. Meanwhile Dustin has the upperhand as he hits the ropes but Rude lands a massive powerslam. He goes to the top rope for a big clothesline and lands the rude awakening for the pin and win. Winner: Rick Rude via pinfall to retain the WWF Championship. Rude isn't done, he stomps on Dustin several times and he lifts him up landing a devastating SECOND rude awakening! Dustin is outcold. Rude lifts him up again and wants to go for a third one even though Dustin looks unconscious till Dusty rushes out and gets in the ring for Rude to run out with Heenan. Dusty is in tears holding unto his baby boy in anger as medics make their way out to help. Backstage with Sean Mooney: Mooney: I can't believe what we have seen Rick Rude, you had Dustin Rhodes (Rude and Heenan walk in) beaten in the middle of the ring, the lack of sportsmanship... Rude: O please, that fat tub of lard got lucky I was going to make sure he couldn't have grandchildren because I mean come on who wants more of these out of shape Rhodes family in the world? (Heenan laughs) So let me tell you something, how dare Dustin even think he could get a WWF title match? How dare he even dream of it? But let's be honest, you should blame the WWF for having this match in the first place. That rookie has no business facing a real man, that rookie should've never even gotten a title shot. So tell you what Rhodes, at Survivor Series you pick a team of your own and I'll have mine, and if my Survivor Series team can't win...listen to this.. .I'll hand over the WWF Championship belt to that overweight good for nothing American...failure...if he could beat my team that's right this title will be on the line at Survivor Series! Mooney: Whoa that is big news! Heenan: You betcha it is!
