lol @ another cancelled line. smh. we just cant win. Mattel is turning into a joke, their distribution of these figures is downright horrible (I would expect distribution problems from a smaller, independent not a big a$$ toy conglomerate like Mattel) and they keep cancelling lines one after another. For those that collect figures from other toy lines from different companies, have you ever seen a company cancel as many lines as Mattel has?! |

Wasn't that crazy about either of these releases, Perfect would have been a definite get if the proportions were more accurate. Never cared about the packaging. Sure it was cool but I didn't desire that aesthetic in y MOC collection. I believe I only bought Honky and Flair at full price, though I would have paid full for more if they had a better lineup.
That being said, this is sad news, both for GameStop and the RetroFest line. It has been bar none the easiest brick-and-mortar hunting experience since I started collecting Mattel.

Mattel reps probably knew where the figures would wind up before sdcc. Nobody wanted to say anything because of collector backlash.

Instead, people are cheap and wait until they’re basically giving them away, then that’s when they “decide” to buy them. Quite frankly, this line was over priced, but the amount of lines that have died simply due to people not supporting them, is far greater than just this one instance. Plus, GameStop sucks as a company anyways, so in a way I’m glad that they’re failing... they treat their employees like sh*t and lie/cheat/con their customers. |

Most of the GameStops in Cincinnati sold the retrofest figures for $26.99 before tax. I did find a few stores that had them @ $24.99. So you’re literally talking about a few dollars difference. Lol |

I say it to comments about Mattel distro all the time, they’re not making figures to just sit in a warehouse and not be sold. GameStop wanted these and it was up to them to continue ordering and to keep the like alive. When everyone waits till the figures are discounted to 75% off, then what do you expect? Only one to blame here is the consumer. |

With how easy to the rest was to find and how many GameStop’s there is around the country, these will be up on the site for a while and will probably be shipped to stores if not all sold in a period of time. I’m not to surprised by this. The attires were OK abut I couldn’t justify paying 24.99 for the most part just a regular elite because it had a cool box. If they had cool attires, cloth goods, then maybe/probably. But I have 2 Perfects already, 2 Sheiks already, 2 Flairs already. They should have put 1 or 2 first time in the line figures in there. Couldn’t have done any worse
