Great feud I loved Rude and Heenan. Piper annoyed the crap out of me. And I hated the half black/white piper after that feud when he faced bad news brown at WM6Yeah that was weird. I liked the story about Andre ribbing him and throwing out the concoction to remove the black paint from the skin, apparently Piper had that black paint on him for a few weeks after WM.

I believe it was a gift for one of his kids.

Martel and Piper were good friends and Martel was there for a while after WM trying to help Piper get the paint off his skin.

Been awhile since I listened to it. Good insight on the whole situation.

The post match interviews from SSlam 89 between Rude/Piper... GREAT stuff here and a good way to really get the feud in motion following Rude dropping the belt.

Earthquake vs Tugboat
It was following Earthquake's attack on Hulk Hogan on the Brother Love Show during the Summer of 90 in which Tugboat would be thrusted into the biggest feud in the company. Always enjoyed the segment with Quake looking like a killer here with Hogan selling it to a tee.
After this is when they plugged the ''get well soon Hulk'' stuff all over TV with Tugboat being in the promos urging the Hulkamaniacs to send in them cards. Still gotta laugh at the 911 post office box.Gotta love kayfabe!
The Tugster would be taken out by both Quake and Dino Bravo not long before SSlam which led to Big Boss Man filling in at the big event with him in the corner of Hogan.Again they were pushing Quake and his finisher here perfectly. Tugboat would return in the Fall with him cutting promos on wanting revenge. Short and sweet...
The feud would continue on into late 90/early 91 with the focus still being on Hogan/Quake but Tugboat was still heavily involved. The big blowoff would happen on the Main Event following Rumble 91 in which Hogan/Tugs defeated Quake and Bravo to finally end the long feud. The end to Quake/Tugs though was Superstars that February.I liked how they tied up everything back to back as the whole feud needed to end by this point.
Next time Tugs/Quake was in the ring was that Summer but it wasn't to fight but to form as a team after Tug turned on the Bushwhackers in a 6 man tag. Good heel turn here and much needed.
Overall...What a push for Tugboat here huh? Debuts in January 90 and by the Summer is thrusted right into the top feud in the company. He played the supporting role well here. In the end we got the formation of the Natural Disasters which is a big plus in my book considering I've always been a fan of that team.

As a 9 year old I thought Tugboat was awesome! I was so mad when he turned heel, but the Natural Disasters were a fantastic team.

Typhoon's had bad health these last few years so I hope they do it sooner than later.

Tugboat was cool but thank god for Sgt. Slaughter... I feel they should have had Tugboat turn on Hogan instead of the Bushwhackers, it would have had a bigger impact in my opinion, especially after he and Hogan fought each other in the Rumble in 1991 with Tugboat trying to eliminate Hogan and Hogan actually eliminating Tugboat. I do wish that Tugboat could have lasted a little longer so we could have gotten that Hasbro figure of his.
