Great write up. I was all in with this as a kid. I liked both guys, but even as a heel I loved Savage. The Superstars segment you talked about was pretty shocking to see back in the day.Great sell job by Sapphire here. She sold the purse shot like DEATH.

I enjoy Jesse ripping on faces immensely BUT and this is a big one.. watching that mixed tag drives absolutely bonkers and has for years because Sherri put her hands on Rhodes early on in the match (At least I think it was Sherri on Rhodes and not Savage on Sapphire) and it gets no mention but as soon as Rhodes touches Sherri, Ventura goes ballistic the rest of the match about breaking rules. This includes arguing with Monsoon about what everyone saw and you can't change what they saw.
This has always driven me crazy for some reason. Probably because what I saw was Sherri putting her hands on Rhodes first.
Great fun feud though and wished their Summerslam match could've gone a little longer before Dibiase came out. Savage seemed to be working injured though based on his lack of wrestling the entire Warrior feud for him.

I enjoyed the last you for me between Dusty and savage I don’t the mixed tag at wrestlemania 6 but you could tell Sherri went easy on Sapphire as Sherri could have done a lot more damage if she wanted to
If nobody has another one Feud lined up could do between Undertaker vs Yokozuna please

Undertaker vs Yokozuna
This feud would officially begin at SSeries 93 during the Foreign Fanatics against the All-Americans match. Yoko looking TERRIFIED when he couldn't keep Taker down was good stuff and a good way to kick this off. I also gotta mention Taker being on the apron for a good portion of this match until those final minutes of the match.Good storytelling all around here.
This would lead to the big showdown at the Rumble in January in a casket match for the WWF World Title. The build was great with Taker building the casket in his workshop in the weeks leading up to it.
On the go home show right before the PPV, they aired a segment in which Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette told Yoko to squash the casket but before he could Taker would pop scaring the big man right from the ring. This is all similar to his feud with Kamala a year prior but it worked and was entertaining.
The match at the Rumble was most memorable for the finish of the match with Yoko retaining the belt after a bunch of heels would help in locking Taker in the casket. Yeah him descending into the heavens was hokey as hell looking back but still fit his character and was a better option than any to him off TV to deal with his back injury.
The feud would heat back up in the Fall of that year at SSeries in another casket match with Taker out for revenge. Nothing memorable here but I did like the continuity here with this being not only the same PPV where this feud started but the same match Yoko tried to bury the Deadman at earlier in the year. Didn't care for the Chuck Norris involvement but I can understand why he was there.
Taker would pick up the win here to finally put an end to this year long feud.
Overall.... None of the matches they had together were classic but that wasn't the point here as it was all about the storytelling. Both guys did an excellent job during this feud with the promos during the build alone. This feud was a good way to transition Taker into the 2nd phase of his characters run.

I liked this feud, I think they did a real good job here building it up. I really liked the segments of Taker making the casket. Yoko did a great job selling his fear of the casket which helped the feud out. I think, out of all of the guys that Taker had to face during these years, Yoko was by far the best for Taker - I thought these two had great chemistry together. Until 1996, I would say this was the best feud/matches that Taker had.

Yeah I've been thinking lately with this thread to just go with a variety. For instance I'll throw out some feuds from time to time so you humanoids can vote, you can also throw out requests like alexxx has been doing and I'll just pick one out of the blue.

Undertaker and Yokozuna may not have had "classic" matches, but these two characters had awesome chemistry and made you want to see what would happen. Seeing Yokozuna actually show fear was really cool.
I really enjoyed their match at Sirvivor Series 94 and feel the extra shenanigans, chuck Norris and the short length made it more enjoyable. I always felt that these two together were a fantastic attraction.

This thread seems like it was made for that feud. Great feud without a proper blow off. WM VI would've been off with Piper-Rude.

Roddy Piper vs Rick Rude
This feud between two of my all time favs got started on the go home PTW show prior to SSlam 89. Just awesome stuff here with each segment between the two you can see Piper getting more and more angered/agitated by the comments of Rude and Heenan. When Hot Rod finally snapped man you felt like these two legit hated each other.Gorilla/Bobby in the supporting roles just added to the greatness of this whole thing.
This would lead to Piper costing Rude the IC belt at the PPV to Warrior. Rude/Heenan going off post match was fantastic. With this incident the feud was really set in motion on Superstars that Fall after Rude would attack Hot Rod on the Brother Love show with him blinding him with mouth wash. One of my fav BL segments here I might add.
From there Piper would get revenge by kissing a woman who turned down Rude for his signature post match kiss. Also gotta mention Piper's tights here. Thank God he didn't continue on wearing these.
The feud would continue on at SSeries when Rude's Brood would defeat Roddy's Rowdies.Piper/Snuka on the same team man over 30 years later and that still doesn't feel right. The feud here would culminate at MSG that December in a cage match in which Piper would pick up the win to end it.
Overall... I LOVED this feud. From start to finish both guys had me invested.Only thing I wish is that they stretched it out to Mania in which they did the steel cage there in SkyDome.I highly recommend this feud from two of the all time greats. Trust me you wont be disappointed.

I feel like the only reason it didnt end up at Mania is they had Rude booked with Warrior for the Summer and didn't want him losing momentum. Although a meaningless match with Snuka didn't move the needle much.
The post Summerslam match is awesome. Heenan stumbling over his words still runs through my mind. Gene dropping F bombs per match, Heenan stumbling over his words, that match had it all.

Great feud from two of the best. Add in Heenan, Gorilla, Brother Love, and Vince and Jesse on commentary and it tops it off. I remember my brother and I getting the VHS tape Wrestling Superheroes and it had the MSG cage match between Piper and Rude, what a fun match. I agree, I wish they would have stretched the feud out to WM6 and had the cage match there or maybe a regular match. Having Rude go over Piper at WM would have set him up well for a run at Warrior for the World Title. I know Piper didn't like getting pinned so Rude winning in a cage match could have worked. You also could have had Heenan get involved helping Rude get the win. It wouldn't have hurt Piper had he lost by Rude and Heenan cheating and it would have made Rude look good getting a win at WM over Piper. This also would have set up Piper continuing to feud with Heenan and the Heenan family. Piper feuded with Mr. Perfect later in the year so it would have fit with him feuding with Heenan and the family.
EDIT: Personally, I would love for Mattel to make a figure of Rude in those blue grim reaper tights he wore during the cage match with Piper (and when the Woman walked away after he kissed her). Also, does anyone know why Piper was wearing those red boxer shorts? Did he forget his regular blue tights that day or were they trying to give Piper a different look. I know I've heard Cornette and Prichard talk Vince liking former stars who return having a different look to make them seem brand new.

As far as his red shorts go, I'm willing to bet they were trying to change him up a little bit as I believe that was his official return match.

Not a great look but it could make for an interesting chase figure for Piper.

This was one of the first big storylines after I got into wrestling so I have a lot of fond memories of it. My grandfather being Scottish loved Roddy Piper! I agree that the feud just kind of went away without that big blow off, I did not know about the cage match if I remember rightly until many years later. So for me, it just kind of ended at Survivor Series.

They should have put that cage match on one of the Saturday Night's Main events or showed it on PTW or superstars.

Great feud I loved Rude and Heenan. Piper annoyed the crap out of me. And I hated the half black/white piper after that feud when he faced bad news brown at WM6
