I remember thinking for sure that Crush was going to get his revenge on Doink and win that match for sure. The two Doinks thing was great! Doink calling Crush Pineapple head was funny.

So I actually just rewatched their Mania match a few weeks ago. I think their story was alright. I was never a Crush guy until Kronik(yeah I know). But who can forget the 2 Doinks. I knew it was coming and still popped for it. For the rest of the show I wondered, "Is he still just...under the ring?"

I remember on the Coliseum Video version of the event they showed a segment in which Mean Gene was at Doinks trailer backstage trying to get answers with them then showing multiple Doinks going in. They should've kept it for the PPV itself.

I loved Crush back then. He had a badass entrance theme, he looked like a badass and that mullet is the stuff of legend! He was pretty over as well, but I feel that they killed his momentum by not having him get his revenge over Doink. This along with him failing to win the Intercontinental title at the King of the Ring really halted the progress the guy was making.
I know that they were trying to build up Doink and they did a good job with it, but I still feel that the babyface Crush should have gotten his revenge.

MKSavage what did you think of this feud? It was okay, the start of it was great with Doink attacking Crush then getting a win at Mania, I figured Crush would have gotten his revenge at Summer Slam 1993. It kind of sucked that there wasn't a true finish to this feud, it just kind of went away. It may have had something to do with Crush getting injured before Summer Slam. I actually liked Crush at this time but, I have gone back and watched some of his matches and it's not great. He seems to be awkward and unsure of himself in the ring. Going back and watching, I really like Evil Doink, he had some really good matches, I wish they would have kept that going. Babyface Doink wasn't nearly as entertaining (though I did like the Lawler and his kings vs Doink and his clowns match at Survivor Series 94, though that was mostly because of Lawler). Even Bret Hart had some really nice things to say about Evil Doink and Matt Borne's portrayal of him. Who else would have loved to have seen an Evil Doink versus Undertaker feud at this time? It would have been a lot better for Undertaker working with Doink than Giant Gonzalez.

And a feud with Taker wouldve been interesting.I can imagine Doink pranking em with Taker no selling it and hitting the tombstone on em.

I liked when the two Doinks tried to outsmart Mr Perfect and then Crush came down and he and Perfect sent them packing with the Doinks having one arm around each other's shoulder.

Yeah, it was a good feud, it's just a shame it didn't get a proper ending.

Looking back,It definitely should've ended with Crush getting his revenge and a clean win.Just 2 days later on Raw he would face Yoko for the belt so it's puzzling how they not only had em win by cheap count out but once again fall victim to the 2 Doinks.

Demolition vs Strike ForceWith Demolition demolishing all the teams in the WWF throughout 1987, it was only a matter of time before their sights on the gold.Strike Force on the other hand formed during the Summer of that year and in short time would win the belts by defeating The Hart Foundation on Superstars.Great pop here.Bobby on Prime Time was gold when talking about this match as he said the reason the Harts lost the belts was because the Anvil thought the ref said does it hurt instead of do you give up lol. With that though the big showdown between these two teams was inevitable with the match being set For WM IV in AC.Demo in the end would prevail in a very solid match I thought to start their legendary 1st reign as tag champs that would last until the Summer of 89! Following this Strike Force would try their best to get the belts back on house shows but in the end just couldnt get the job done. The teams would feud up until the Summer which Ultimate Warrior briefly joining in for 6 man tag action! The feud would climax that July on Prime Time as Demo would put out Rick Martel in kayfabe with them delivering the Decapitation to Martel on the floor putting him out until early 89.In reality Martel went home to take care of his sick wife. Martel's selling was top notch here. Overall... Fun feud during this era. Strike Force was a solid team so was glad to see them get a run with the belts with Demo absolutely being the right team to take the belts next.Loved how they built them up strong the whole year.

Holy crap I went all these years without knowing Strike Force and The Ultimate Warrior teamed up! This feud was just before my time so I missed out on it when it happened, but Tito was always a favorite of mine as a kid. So thanks for posting that my good sir, it is cool watching it on my computer, but do you know if this match is on the network?
Demolition were so good no matter if they were the heels or the faces. I do prefer them as face though as that was what they were when I started watching. I think a lot of newer fans do not realize just how insanely over Demolition were in 89-90.

It's on the Prime Time 6-13-88 episode. And hell yeah Demo was over like crazy during those years. That pop at Mania VI still gives me goosebumps
