Great feud here from two of the best all around performers. Their interviews and promos for this feud were excellent. I loved the Brother Love segment to turn the Big Boss Man babyface, I thought that was done so well. Loved the match at WM6 with them, I like that DiBiase won but Jake got his revenge in the end by DDTing Ted and giving away some of his money. Great stuff. Fun time to be a fan.

Gotta love Jesse when Jake hands Mary Tyler Moore a $100 bill...''Like she really needs it!''

What can I say? Great feud between two great workers. Their match at WM 6 was one of the reasons that show was great.

WM VI-Gorilla and Jesse's final time in the booth together But man did they hit one more home run on the way out. They are actually my favorite commentary duo. When I met Jesse I asked him what it was like to work with Gorilla and he said “he was great, he knew when to feed me”. I guess that means Gorilla knew what to say as a babyface so Jesse can reply with a heel comeback?

Pretty much. They were so good together.Even if a match was bad they could still make it entertaining with their bantering.

Demolition vs Brain BustersWith The Busters getting a big win over Strike Force at WM V, it was only a matter of time before they set their sights on the gold and Demolition and thats what they would do. That May on SNME they would challenge the champs but in the end the match would end with no decisive winner. This would only be the beginning... The big rematch would take place that July on SNME in a 2/3 falls match with the Busters getting the win in the end thanks to a very stiff chair shot by Tully on Smash. Smash to this day still talks about it!I love everything about this match.
The feud would be put on hold temporarily as at SSlam The Busters would face The Harts in what is IMO the best opener in SSlam history.Damn was this match picture perfect. That Fall the feud would climax with both teams eager to have that final confrontation... The match would come that November on Superstars in which Demo would get their belts back.Again more great stuff here. This would mark the beginning of the end for the Busters in the WWF sadly Overall...My 2 fav teams of all time right here humanoids so me being invested here would be a huge understatement.Having the Busters come into the WWF in late 88 with Bobby as their manager was such the perfect pairing.Excellent stuff all around and a tag feud I highly recommend for all fans who are into good ol classic 80s tag team wrestling.Easy thumbs up

Great little feud here. Two of the best tag teams in WWF history. I kind of wonder what they were planning with the tag team titles had the Brain Busters not given their notice. Were they always going to lose the belts back to Demolition when they did or would they have held on to them much longer? Would the Busters have held the tag belts all the way to WM6 and dropped them to Demolition then? If so, would Andre and Haku ever have become a team? I would have loved for the Brain Busters to have had a longer WWF run, I would have liked to have seen them have more of a feud with the Hart Foundation. And, had they stayed beyond WM6, it would have been cool to see them feud with the Legion of Doom. Maybe if that happened, the first team LOD feuded with would have been the Brain Busters which could have saved the LOD/Demolition feud until later - maybe around late 1990/early 1991, leading into a showdown at WM7. And I agree with The Brain, if the Busters/Hart Foundation isn't the best opening match in Summer Slam history, it definitely has to be in the top three.

This was a feud here that could've easily climaxed at Mania. It wouldve gave the Busters a good run plus gave Demo an even bigger moment since by that point it wouldve been almost a year since they last had the belts.

As far as Andre/Haku they can still have their little run with a break up happening before Mania with the match taking place there. In the end Andre gets his win and rides off into the sunset to a good ovation.

Demolition vs Brainbusters was another great feud at a time when tag team wrestling was hot! I’m glad Arn(happy birthday) and Tully became tag champs. The late 80s was a peak time for tag team wrestling in WWF. On a side note remember in 96 when the tag team division was a joke? Today in 2020 it’s an even bigger joke than that if you can imagine!

I loved everything these two teams did. What I remember most about both Demolition and The Brain Busters was how everything they did looked so real and brutal lol.

Yeah, everything after the WWF discarded the Steiner Brothers was a joke. I don't think the tag team division in the WWF picked back up until 1998 when they had the New Age Outlaws, LOD and Cactus & Chainsaw. Then a year or so later they added APA, the Hardy's, E & C, and the Dudley Boyz, and the division was hot again.

You reminded me, after HBK vs Marty and Disco vs Wright can you do Edge and Christian vs the Hardy Boyz?
