So after all these years you still believe Marty was a coward for trying to escape through the window? ðŸ¤

Shawn Michaels vs Marty JannettyThe implosion of the Rockers would take place in January 92 on Wrestling Challenge in which Shawn Michaels would turn his back on not his former partner but great friend.Such a well done heel turn here nearly 30 years later. The blood and Shawn ripping up the Rockers poster is the cherry on top. This was going to lead to them facing off at WM VIII but with Jannetty having problems with the law the whole thing was scrapped with HBK taking on Tito Santana and Marty getting the pink slip.Real shame here as this match deserved the big stage.HBK would head off into his solo run with much success with him winning the IC Title that Fall but it was also around that time that his old partner would come back for revenge... This incident would lead to Sherri getting kayfabe injured by Shawn's Mirror which would put her out until the Rumble which was the place for these two former partners to settle the score in a match for the IC Title. The whole build to this ''what corner would Sherri be in?'' Excellent match here I thought. Following this the feud would once again halt as Marty was released once again due to drug issues. It would pick back up though that Spring on Raw when Marty would return to once again get right back in the face of Shawn and challenge him for the belt once more. This one would have a different outcome... Marty would only hold the belt for a few weeks though as he would lose it back to Shawn at house show in June with help from his new bodyguard Diesel. This would end the feud officially.Over the years though they would still interact however. It was always fun to see them go out in the Rumble matches. The last match between the two would come during the Summer of 96 on Raw in which Michaels defended the WWF title against Jannetty with the roles revered this time around. Overall... Great feud here. The impending implosion in late 91 with the turn in 92 cementing that fact. The matches they had in 93 for the IC belt were excellent.Only downside like I said was these two not having a match at Mania.

Great feud, kind of sad they didn't get to wrestle at WM8 but their 1993 stuff was gold. The heel turn for Shawn was done perfectly, one of the best tag team breakup angles that I can remember. I heard a rumor that the reason Marty got the gold for a week is because it was punishment for Shawn spreading rumors about Marty which got him fired in early 1993, sometime after the rumble. I always liked how they would meet up in the rumble matches (1994 & 1996) and go head-to-head, good stuff. I still kind of feel like they broke up the team too early, I think they could have saved it for later in 1992, early 1993. With the lack of good babyface tag teams in 1992, the WWF really could have used the Rockers at this time. I would have liked to have seen a Money Inc/Rockers feud for the tag team gold, even giving them a run with the belts. Them losing the belts could have been the catalyst for the break and feud in early 1993.

The slow burn to the turn was great.I knew Michaels was going to turn heel as he was flirting with girls ringside toward the end there.Plus one match had him hogging the whole thing with no tag in to Marty. And I agree with Rockers continuing on for a little longer. They would've blended so well with Money Inc.

Marty coming back and beating up Shawn Michaels was so well done. The Raw episode in which Marty beats Shawn for the IC title is still one of my favorite Raws of all time.

I hated the Rockers. Never liked Jannetty. Only liked Michaels when he turned heel and broke up this team. I did really like him but only until this gimmick ended and then I never liked him again
Michaels push as heavyweight champ is a big reason I left wwf in the mid 90’s He was annoying in DX, but when he left I turned into a huge DX fan

The Rockers were my team when I first got into wrestling. This is the greatest tag team break up in history for me. The slow burn to it was amazing, I vividly remember Jannetty getting Shawn accidently eliminated at the Survivor Series. The whole thing on the Barber Shop was amazingly well done and Heenan on commentary was pure gold. The amount of time Jannetty was away really sold how brutal this was (of course, that was not exactly intentional) and when he returned it was awesome. Their match at Royal Rumble 1993 was the weakest the pair had in my opinion. I really feel that Jannetty should have taken the title here, even if he was to lose it shortly after. These two also had a solid match on RAW in 1996 which while not long, is a lot of fun and much more interesting than their Royal Rumble 1993 match. Such a shame Jannetty turned out to be a grade A up, this is one dude that the WWE hopefully can help as he is a man who clearly has some serious issues.

Disco Inferno vs Alex WrightThese two dancing fools would cross paths for the first time in late 95.The whole premise to this feud was who had the better dance moves.Yep thats pretty much it.They would face each other on Nitro and Saturday Night with Das Wunderkind always getting the better of Disco. They would also be ''randomly'' picked to be partners at Slamboree 96 in the Lethal Lottery against Dick Slater Bobby Eaton but in the end they would fail to advance to the battle royal. The feud would pick back up in late 97 with the TV belt now being the main focus and both guys in reverse roles.Never cared for Wright as a babyface but I did enjoy em in the heel role.Disco would go to defeat the German superstar on Nitro that Fall.Great POP here for the title change! Disco fever indeed. This would end the feud but I gotta mention their run as a team in 98 as the Dancing Fools and then in 2000 as the Boogie Knights. The latter run included a tag title run.Goofy as hell but damn if it wasn't entertaining. Overall...Didnt care for the feud in the early stages but by 97 these two changed my mind.Wright played the heel role great with Disco being over like rover as a face. Not a memorable feud by any means but these guys did their job well. Mongo Bears I couldn't find the dance off segment but I did find something that will put a smile on your face...

I was a fan of both Disco and Wright, but the feud did nothing for me.
Will you do E and C vs the Hardys next?

Now that was some Friday night fun!! Disco was a clown to me that actually made me laugh. I never really routed for him to win even though I still wanted to see him every week. Alex wright I took seriously. I think he was maybe one of the most underrated wrestlers ever. The dude was so young as a babyface but definitely was a better heel in the end. (Berlyn is a ing joke though and I hate that gimmick with a passion) I liked them teaming together, it was fun. Surprised a little because I never heard of the boogie knights actually because I was out of the game by then. ...also, Alex Wright was a better dancer I’m gonna have to say so he certainly gets the all-around edge from me

Hardys vs Edge & ChristianThese two teams would begin their legendary feud in late 99 during the ''Terri Invitational'' in which the winning team who won a series of matches would get a 100 grand plus her as their manager.Instant chemistry from the get go between these two. The final match would take place at No Mercy that year in a ladder match which was a first as far as tag teams in this match is concerned.Awesome gem here with both teams clicking on all cylinders.Terri being easy on the eyes was the cherry on top. This match would cement these teams as the faces of the division. And this was only just the beginning. By 2000, we would add the Dudleyz to the mix so with that we would get a triple threat tag team ladder at Mania that year with all guys getting to showcase in big way. In the E&C would prevail after knocking Matt off the perch to a table below. That Spring E&C would turn heel which is really got me invested in the team. The 5 second pose stuff was entertaining as hell. The feud with the Hardys would pick right back That Summer at SSlam when once again these two teams and the Dudleys would face off in the first ever TLC match. Again more innvoated stuff here with a hot crowd.
That Fall is where the feud really hit a high as these teams went one on one with no Dudleys this time around. At Unforgiven in Philly, the Hardys would finally strike gold again as they defeated their foes in a cage match. This result would speak the returns of the ''Conquistadores'' as at No Mercy they would defeat the Hardys for the belts. In the end it was E&C in those gold outfits! Great throwback to us 80s fans with them bringing back this gimmick. The Hardys would pull the same trick though a night later and win the belts back by donning the gold outfits. The big climax of this feud though would come at WM XVII that April when we would get TLC 2 between the same 3 teams as last August. Best and most memorable match of the whole feud here. Overall...I was never a Hardys fan and didnt like E&C until their heel turn but these two tore down the house during this era.Cant talk about tag wrestling in the Attitude Era without these teams for sure. Cant forget about the Dudleys either. They played a big part as well.

This was possibly the last great feud over the tag team titles. I didn’t watch No Mercy 99 live as it happened, but was reading how awesome the ladder match was and match of the night. The 3 way ladder match at Wrestlemania 16 might be in my top 10 of favorite mania matches.
