Hulk Hogan vs ZeusLife often imitates art indeed. It was during the Spring of 89 in which Zeus would debut in the WWF during an episode of SNME. The match was Hogan against Big Boss Man in the cage. When Hogan came down the aisle for battle he would come face to face with Zeus who was blocking the entrance to the cage.Great debut here that made Zeus look like a beast out the gate with Hogan selling for em like a pro. They would explain on TV that Zeus came to the WWF for revenge for what Hogan aka Rip did to em in the No Holds Barred movie. This would lead to Zeus getting with Randy Savage and Hogan getting his best friend to the end Brutus Beefcake to battle the evil duo at SSlam that year.I would be remiss if I didnt mention this classic Zeus promo... The match at SSlam which involved the returning Miss Elizabeth was nothing to write home about as Zeus in a word was....Horrible. He had an imitating look though I'll give em that.In the end the faces would prevail. Shocker!!! The feud though didnt end here as these two boiled over into the Fall months.Zeus would shift from Mach briefly to team up with Ted DiBiase at SSeries that year as it was the Million Dollar team against the Hulkamaniacs. Zeus would get thrown out early in the match for non stop choking Hogan. Gotta love Ventura here going nuts with him saying ''The ref is saving Hogan from Zeus'' by DQing em. I agree Jesse! In the end Hogan would be the sole survivor but post match in an interview with Beefcake, Zeus and Savage would attack. This was done to promote the big steel cage match in December.Great stuff here. The big climax to this feud would come in that steel cage match. This was apart of the No Holds Barred ''the match, the movie!'' PPV special. Man did they plug to this death on TV during this time. The match was fine for what it was.Props to Savage for the majority of the workload. Overall...Fun feud here for the promos and build but thats about it.Like I said though Zeus played the intimidating beast to a tee and Hogan I gotta give props for selling for a guy who didnt know a wristlock from a wristwatch.Thank GOD in the end we didnt get this.....

Man, this was awesome! This was the first main event feud when I started watching wrestling and I loved it. Zeus was so freaking intense and he played his role far better than people give him credit for.... even if he was a terrible wrestler. He felt like a legit threat and as a kid he was the first "monster" that I knew in wrestling now that I think about it. This was a really fun feud and I do not care what anyone says, as a kid I loved No Holds Barred! I loved the way he would say "Beefcake Barber"!
It is funny how Tiny Lister would pop up in random stuff over the years. The two that pop into my mind are first of all a music video from the 90s that has a western theme and he is a cowboy. Also, his little part in The Dark Knight, I got a real kick out of that when I saw the movie in theatres.

Imagine today if a wrestler did a movie and the lead villain in that movie actually became a wrestler and got a main event push as the bad guy character he played in the movie? The internet would crap all over that! That being said I thought Hogan vs Zeus was an entertaining feud. Tiny Lister said in an interview that WWF thought of making him champion. No offense to him, but that would have been a disaster! Brutus Beefcake said in his book that Hogan legit made Lister cry after hitting him too hard practicing a match.

I have read a couple of times that despite looking like an intimidating monster he was a super nice and sensitive guy.

Good feud, I actually think it was well done for what it was. I think they messed up by having Zeus get pinned in the Summer Slam match. They should have kept him strong if they knew he was going to stay around and work Survivor Series and the match and the movie PPV. You forgot to mention the SNME match between Savage and Beefcake when both Hogan and Zeus got involved. Good stuff. Would be cool if Mattel would make a figure of Zeus.

They also had interaction on SNME prior to SSeries when Hogan fought DiBiase. But ehh I covered most of it lol.

Sable vs LunaThese two would cross paths in early 98.Luna at the time was with her main squeeze TAFKA Goldust while Sable on the other hand was having issues with her man Marc Mero.At first Mero sided with Goldust and Luna in taunting Sable but when Goldust made an advance at her he finally came to her aid. This would lead to a mix tag at Wrestlemania XIV in which Sable would get the win for her team after pinning Luna. She hit a nice TKO I'll give her that. The feud would heat up following Mania as Luna would challenge Sable to the first ever evening gown match at Unforgiven.Yep full blown Attitude Era here. Sable would lose this one but I'm sure nobody in Greensboro NC was complaining. She would get revenge post match by stripping Luna. This would end the feud for now as the next time these two met up would be that Summer but this time around they would be on the same page as Sable would be the one to introduce her to new faction in the Federation in the Oddities.Things would go back to normal between the two late in the year as Luna would pull a Moolah and dress up as the Spider Lady as she attacked Sable. This would lead to a strap match at the Rumble for the belt in which Sable would prevail thanks to her ''fan'' Tori(Who was still not named yet). The feud was going to continue but was scrapped due to Luna being suspended for real life issues she had backstage with Sable. The feud never resumed as by the time Luna came back to the WWF Sable was gone. Overall...Not much to say about this as this entire feud was put together just to showcase Sable. I will say though it is a shame Luna never had a run with the WWF Women's belt.

I was a teenager during this time and let me just say that I was most certainly part of Sables target audience People can knock her all they want, but she was one of the most over characters in the company during her prime.

Luna said in an interview that Sable refused to learn how to bump. In the old days her arm would have been broken for that by a Moolah or somebody. I was a big Sable fan back then as I was in my teens during the attitude era, but when I look back her looks and body were the only reasons she was successful. Right place at the right time.
After you do Papa Shango vs Warrior can you do The Sandman vs Tommy Cairo?

Papa Shango vs Ultimate WarriorWith Sid failing a drug test and subsequently quitting in April 92, Warrior's planned feud with em would be changed to a more mysterious character in the form of Papa Shango. It was from there that the voodoo man would put a curse on Warrior which he would complete on an episode of Superstars after Warrior would go on and defeat Brian Knobbs.Shocking stuff for this time period thats for sure.Great selling by Warrior here. Warrior would respond a few weeks later but would once again fall victim to the voodoo.WARRIOR!!!!!!!Looking back we now know why he wore a jacket for this segment. Mean Gene would try to get to the bottom of this whole thing a week later but even he wasnt safe.... They never had any matches on TV but they did on house shows and and Coliseum Video with nothing positive coming from em. They were planned to climax the feud at SSlam that year but thanks to their matches stinking up the place the feud was scrapped with Warrior going on to feud with Mach and Shango getting Tito at the event respectively.Definitely for the better. Overall...I liked this feud just for the pure insanity of it all.I liked Shango so I was invested in what he would do from week to week.
