Did Warrior wearing a jacket have something to do with the stuff falling down his face?
I liked this feud because it was interesting due to the characters and remember looking forward to seeing a match between them as a kid.
Despite them not having good matches together Charles Wright always says “I enjoyed working with Jim” when asked about his Warrior feud.

You can see him putting his hands in his pockets during the promo.

It was an interesting feud, too bad they didn't have a decent match to show on TV. I do remember Taker & Warrior vs Berzerker & Shango on a coliseum video, I think it was UK Rampage 92.

Yep. You can see him putting his hands in his pockets during the promo. How did the trick work? I think he had a pouch of some sort with the liquid in it and a very small tube running up the sleeve and out top of the jacket into Warrior's hair. When Warrior put his hands in his pocket he probably squeezed a lever pushing the liquid up the tube which exited out the end of it which was hidden in his hair.

It was Rampage 92 and on his own tape they put out that year. Fun little match if for nothing else seeing Taker and him on the same page

I remember reading the stuff they did on house shows was that Shango would put a ''curse'' on warrior during the match with him having to sell it for a good portion of it before snapping outta it and winning the match shorty after that.
Yeah I'm glad this didnt make SSlam.

Gotta love wrestling logic. It reminds me of Earthquake being on Jake Roberts survivor series team in 1991 a half a year after he killed Jake's snake, Damien - that always seemed odd to me, even as a kid.

That Jake/Quake was still going as late as July as I remember there was a match with him and Typhoon on PTW. Then just 4 months later they're on the same team.He killed your snake, how can he be your buddy all of sudden??!!

This was one of the things they crapped on the Warrior for on the Self Destruction of Ultimate Warrior DVD. I enjoyed it as a kid, Shango felt like a legit threat to the Warrior and I really wanted to see him get his revenge on him. People say this stuff was dumb, but I thought it was fun. I remember the Return of the Ultimate Warrior VHS that came out in 1992 and one of the main reasons I was excited to get that tape was to see him wrestle Papa Shango... which was not all that great. I still have that same jacket he wore when the black ooze went down his face to this day

Makes me wonder what Shango be doing if Sid stayed. The little tease of the feud between Warrior/Sid after Mania they mainly focused on just them.I could see Shango getting involved eventually with Taker of all people being the one to save his former foe to set up the tag match.

I would imagine that Warrior/Shango would still have been a thing between WM8 and Summer Slam 1992, it probably would have been the little feud with Sid and Warrior being built up to meet at Summer Slam - possibly with Sid interfering in the matches between Shango and Warrior to set up the Summer Slam match. I could see Shango feuding with the Undertaker, I wonder if the bad matches with Warrior changed the WWF's mind because Shango really wasn't used after that.

I’m glad we got Warrior vs Savage instead of Warrior vs Shango at summerslam 92 looking back.

Shango's best match IMO was with Bret on SNME.

It still wouldve been interesting what they did with the character if they brought it back during the AE.We were close as here's a test shot circa 97.

Looking forward to your Sandman vs Cairo write up. You did watch ecw back then as it happened right? I didn’t. I caught everything on dvds in recent years.
