Sandman vs Tommy CairoIn the beginning, these two were on the same page as they both teamed up to take on the duo of The Pitbull and Rockin' Rebel but following this is when it all fell apart.During a match in which Sandman hit his wife Peaches by accident,Cairo would assist her after this much to the dismay of Sandman who then attacked Cairo. This would lead to Sandman getting Woman as manager and Peaches becoming Cairo's manager.Their first big match together would come that May on TV as they would face each other in a match in which the loser must receive 10 lashes with the singapore cane. The lovable Sal Bellomo was the ref here. That same month, we would see the first ever mix tag singapore cane match. Man Woman was always easy on the eyes. The feud would rage on into the Summer as at Hostile City Showdown these two foes would meet in a singapore cane on a pole match in which Cairo would win by dq(Didnt like the lame finish here) post match both Cairo and Peaches would get lashed by the cane. The feud would climax at Heat Wave that July in a ''dueling canes'' match in which Sandman would prevail to the feud to bed. Not much to say here besides to guys beating the sh** outta eachother with canes.Right man won in the end.Sandman would get one more in on Cairo though as later that year he feigned being blind during his feud with Tommy Dreamer with Cairo mocking em only to get a beating by Dreamer at N2R. Overall...Didnt really care for this one but it is significant for one thing and that is giving Sandman his signature weapon that would define his career.

I loved this feud! The “pay your bills” promos were great especially the one that aired on the 7/12/94 ecw tv! All 4 involved in this feud played their roles impeccably! After Dreamer started feuding with Cairo after the blinding angle Cairo cut a great promo about still eating peaches 😂 Remember that?

Jake Roberts vs Rick MartelIt was during the Fall of 1990 on the Brother Love show in which these two would cross paths for the first time. Martel prior to this would appear on the segment briefly before Love's guest would come out but this time would be different. During the segment, Martel would try a few times to spray Damien with Arrogance. When Jake finally saw what was going on he turned right to intervene only to get sprayed right in the face with the cologne.Fantastic selling by Jake here and a great way to start the feud coming off what was a really bad feud with Bad News Brown. Following this, Martel would give his ''apology''. Jake on the other hand was in real bad shape as they would show these segments in the doctors office. Again Jake's selling is top toch. You really felt like his vision was in danger here. Jake would return to the Brother Love show after this with the help of a cane and a WWF official to confront both Martel and Love. The end result was not good for the man of love. The eye reveal was well done here Jake would then be in the hunt for his foe following this. On an episode of Wrestling Challenge during a match with Martel and Tito Santana, Jake would come down to the ring blindly to get at Martel but would attack Tito instead. At SSeries that year Martel's ''Visionaries'' would defeat Jake's ''Vipers'' in a clean sweep but Martel would be on the run from Jake and Damien to keep this heated feud going. At the Rumble that January,The two would collide in the big match with by this point Jake's vision back to normal.Martel would eliminate his foe here in the end.Love the fact Martel was the iron man in this Rumble. The big climax to this feud would come at Wrestlemania VII in a blindfold match. The match is not a masterpiece but that wasnt the point here as it was all about storytelling and both guys excelled in that regard. Jake would go on to defeat Martel here to end the feud. Overall...Another great Jake feud here in a string of em during this era.Great selling and Martel played the heel to a tee. Loved every bit of this.Thumbs up.

I was so invested in this feud when I was a kid. I was shocked when Jake showed his eye and it was all messed up. The WWF was so good at making me believe everything they did was real back then. The actual match was a ton of fun and I loved how Martel would so stupid stuff like go for an elbow drop or my favourite attempting a back body drop

fond memories of this feud and re-enacting it with my Hasbro's....fond memories indeed Jake & Martel had a good playable mold so I had some great battles between the two.... I was also shocked that Martel's team killed Jakes team so easily at SSeries 1990.

Warlord backdropping Michaels always comes to mind when I think of that SSeries match.
Visionaries was a great team. Definitely in my top 10 in events history.

It's pretty amazing how this feud ran so long and made you wait for the payoff all the while never losing any heat and keeping you invested the whole time.
They did not need a poorly written five minute promo each and every week to keep fans "interested" in what was happening.

Another great feud, Jake seemed to be on a roll in terms of feuds during this time (Honky, Rude, Andre, DiBiase, Martel, then Savage). Martel and Jake were tremendous here, both played their role to a T. I really liked the match at WM7, like The Brain said, it wasn't a classic but, it was such good psychology. Martel did a fantastic job in this match. Like most people, I think Martel should have had a run with the IC title. I think Martel would have been a good champion to have after Mr. Perfect's run. Not sure how they would have pulled that off though, cause I really liked Bret as the IC champion. You know, growing up, I hated Martel, but now, I just see how talented the man truly was. Such a great talent.

Wish I could find the clip but not long into the feud they showed a vignette of Martel in a eye glasses store with him mocking Jake. It just added to his douche heel character.Great stuff

The Rock vs MankindThe feud between these two staples of the Attitude Era would begin at SSeries 98 in which they would face off in the finals of the deadly game tournament. The end result would be a rehash of Montreal a year prior with Vince Mcmahon would order the time keeper to ring the bell when Rock had Mankind in the sharpshooter. I said this in the past but I gotta give Russo credit here with putting this whole story together during this event.Rock turning heel was a nice swerve. Now that Rock is the ''corporate champion'',Mankind would be out for revenge and with that the rematch was set for Rock Bottom the next month. The end result was once again screwy... The feud would heat up in early 99 when after Mankind goaded Vince in giving him another title match after threating to break Shane's arm after a match with HHH.In the end Mankind would finally prevail in winning the big one in one of the best moments in Raw history. That POP can still be heard 21 years later!Such an awesome feel good moment. Shame JR wasnt in the booth at the time. This would lead to Rock getting his rematch at the Rumble in the infamous I Quit match.Brutality at it's finest here humanoids. It's no wonder why Foley's brain is mush nowadays. Storytelling is off the charts in this one. Through all that, Mankind wasnt done yet with yet another encounter in this war happening on Halftime Heat in the empty arena match.Very fun match with Rock being such a great heel with his verbal taunts. This feud would hit a boiling point in February as at St. Valentines Massacre they would meet one again but this time in a last man standing match. Not as brutal as I quit but still a fine entry in this feud.Again both guys nailing their roles here The end of the feud would come the next night on Raw with the Rock defeating Mankind in a ladder match thanks to Paul Wight to win the gold for a 3rd time. Overall...One of the best feuds of the era here in my book.Mankind was the perfect guy for Rock's first feud in the main event scene.Chemistry was there ten fold and it showed.Another easy thumbs up.

This was a very good feud, the Rock and Mick worked so well together; as opponents, as teammates. Good stuff.
