This year could not end could it? We all know people pass away eventually, but losing such athletes, celebrities, and just people in general this year has been the absolute worst. Kobe passing away earlier this year should've been the first sign that 2020 was going to be a really bad year.

That's the thing that's got to make it doubly sad for his family, is from here on out, the holidays will always have that attachment of the time of year that they lost him. I saw someone mention in the comments on the other site, talking about how at the Holiday Bash tapings, where Brodie Jr. 'won' the title from Omega. They were speculating, maybe the seriousness of whatever ended up taking his life was known to the AEW crew, and they did that as a way to try and give some cheer in some bad times.

Terrible news, but this would explain why we havent seen him on TV in months. Did AEW know the entire time? How was he cleared to wrestle? RIP.

It sounds like he had some form of lung cancer.

This is just tragic for his family. I can't even imagine what they are going through. RIP to a man who spent his short time on this earth entertaining others.

I am floored. In these situations I always ask why does it have to happen. This just sucks. RIP to the Big Rig.

Completely shocking! Came out of nowhere! I hope this week’s dynamite is a tribute to him.
RIP Jon Huber aka Brodie Lee

Completely shocked. One of my favorite wrestlers. I can’t imagine what his family is going through.
It’ll always sting that he never got his big hometown debut that was cancelled at the last minute due to the beginning of COVID spreading, or that he didn’t get to wrestle on a AEW show in front of a crowd even once.
I’m glad he was able to get a brief time to jump ship and show how incredibly talented he was.
I’m stunned. This is going to hurt for some time.

man Brodie. What an incredibly talented man and I enjoyed his short work in AEW. My heart goes out to his family and friends. 2020 in the ass.

This is really sudden. I didn’t know he was sick to that extent. One of the best and underrated wrestlers of the past decade. He had a good run in WWE but obviously he wanted more. So I’m glad he got the run he deserved in AEW. Even though it was for a few months, he really accomplished a lot. A world title match, TNT championship, and treated like the star he was. I feel for his wife and kids, what a loss. From all accounts, he was a good dude as well.
RIP Brodie

This is absolutely tragic news. Im at such a loss. Feel terrible for his family. Honestly, been quite a fan of his for many many years now. I caught on at the tail end of Chikara, liked him in his DGUSA/ROH stuff and was stoked to see him get a big spot with Wyatt's in WWE. Always rooted for him anytime he had a nice singles opportunity. Really great in-ring worker. By all accounts, and from interviews I've heard, an even better person. This sucks. #RIPBrodieLee

Now that we’re here, I think it was clearly done to make them feel better if only just for a moment. When I read about it last week or whenever it was, my first thought was “ohh maybe this means Brodie’s return is imminent.” If his family is there, surely so is he. Unfortunately, it was the absolute complete opposite.
