24 hours later, the news is starting to really sink in. The shock has somewhat subsided, but the sadness and confusion has set in. This one is hitting hard. It’s haunting to think that the last time most of us saw or heard from him was his match with Cody, which ended up being his final match. No more tweets, no more Instagram posts, and very little news for the past two months makes this all the more eerie. Every week I was looking for signs of a return, but I certainly never expected this. He looked great, and the match with Cody was really good. It’s hard to imagine that he had an illness before he left tv. There were rumors of an ankle or leg injury, it makes me wonder if he had a surgery, got a DVT leading to pulmonary embolism, and it wasn’t caught in time. It’s all speculation, but it’s just so hard to accept that he was so young, literally just had a very physical match, and then just disappeared. Maybe there’s no easy answer, or maybe it’ll eventually come out.
I should’ve known that this would be a rough year when Neil Peart passed in January. Brodie Lee’s passing is the devastating alternate bookend in this year of horror. I just want this to be a bad dream, and to watch Dynamite Wednesday, and see him vow revenge in the name of the Dark Order (I know it’s taped).

PWT has affirmed to customers that all proceeds from Brodie Lee shirts sales on ShopAEW and their site will go to the Huber family.
CM Punk is also forfeiting profits from his merch sales on PWT for the next two months and they will also go to the Hubers.
Mick Foley is donating his PWT sales for Jan 2021.

Bill I think this week it’s live and it will likely be a tribute show to him. It should anyway. I hope it’s similar what WWE did for Owen and Eddie. I was watching a video last night of some vendor selling autographs on Facebook and when someone posted RIP Brodie Lee, I was like what? That’s how I found out. I couldn’t believe it and still can’t, then again I didn’t know how his health was. In addition to the pandemic it’s been a very bad year for wrestling deaths and there’s 4 days left!

He might be a douche sometimes but he’s still a good dude deep down I think

Whoever the dirt sheet idiot is basically calling Brodie’s wife a liar can go to hell. Telling her that she needs to release all of the info surrounding his death. What a pos. The woman lost her husband and the kids lost their father and these dumb s don’t understand that you can die from more than covid and he clearly had a bigger issue. I can’t stand ignorant people at all

Part of me thinks they knew something was up with him, and maybe wrote him off with an injury in the hopes he would become healthy again. That is only my guess. But this is the absolute worst thing. Beyond sad to see. And that PWTorch thing is not helping, garbage.

Phew I just read the Bruce Mitchell comments and man talk about rough uncalled for comments. I hope the dude loses his job over this I truly do, talk about being tone deaf. To imply that AEW would try to convince his wife to say it was non Covid related so that they didn’t have an employee die from Covid is a pretty despicable claim.

The dude had to open his own brain hole for two seconds. Brodie jr. Was literally at the last tapings to do that special moment with Kenny and was on tv too. No way Amanda lets her kid go there if her hubby is super sick from covid. Like c'mon Bruce.

Mick Foley has also announced he will be donating his January sales from PWtees to the Huber family. This is a sad weekend as you can see how loved this guy was by everyone in the business. Can't wait to see Dynamite on Wednesday.

Having watched wrestling since 1994, I kinda fell out of it until around 2012/2013, and a huge part of that was due to the Shield and Wyatt Family. Brodie/Harper was a big part of why I found my passion as a fan again and he always entertained me no matter what he was doing. Thank you Brodie and RIP.

It’s still so crazy to think about how shocking and out of left field this is. Literally when I saw “RIP Brodie Lee” my first thought was “Who is Brodie Lee? Why does that name sound so familiar?” I watch Dynamite, so it’s not like I’m not aware of him. It just didn’t even click in my head that he would die so young and suddenly. I didn’t even make the connection until I googled “Brodie Lee.”
Now I’m seeing reports that he had been in the hospital since around late-October. It’s sudden for us, but if true, it must have been grueling for the family.

I just can't find the words, still, I thought after a day or so to process I would be able to but nah I feel exactly the way I did when Eddie passed, such a shock to wake up and see that he had passed. Everyone has been robbed.

This one has been really tough for me. When Owen and Pillman died, I was a kid. It hurt, but it was a different feeling of loss. As an adult, it has really hit home in a whole different way. The kind of loss his wife is feeling is probably my greatest fear, and my heart breaks for her and their kids.

The only thing I can compare it to was when I heard Eddie died. I had stopped watching wrestling consistently by that point and it kinda took years before it felt real.
I don't want to come off insensitive, but I've thought a few times about what the Dark Order and AEW will look like as a whole after this. I think a yearly tournament or gimmick match where ticket sales & merch that night go towards the family would be a great tradition.
