What did he do during that gimmick? Did he do his DDP Yoga stuff -- or just positive speaking? Wasn't watching during that era -- so weird he would use a headset as part of his gimmick!
He started off heel. He was positive in a condescending way. He would insult the crowd or his opponent and say “That’s not a bad thing, that’s a good thing” and then put a positive spin on it but still in an insulting way.
Dope. Thanks for responding, man

It’s hard to tell because his hair hides it, but Dallas was actually born with a hole in his head. So the figure is pretty accurate.

A little dab of super glue can solve that. Pretty sure if you just leave it on it won't come off unless you take it off. Then why would you rather have it not be removable?

Then why would you rather have it not be removable? Did you like... not read at all??? You said you'd rather have the headset not be removable, and then said it won't come off unless it's taken off. So why would you rather have it not be removable? I get that you don't like the hole...But in that case, just leave the headset on.

I get that you don't like the hole...But in that case, just leave the headset on. Well you rather have the head like this with the accessory or you have a normal head with no accessory. I just don't see how the headset gets executed without the whole. Could it have been smaller? Maybe. But I'd rather have the figure the way it is than not include the headset. I’d rather just have the headset not be removable. Easy as that. There are plenty of different alternative choices that could’ve been executed.

Yes, you said that you'd rather have the headset not be removable...and I'm asking why? Not sure what is so difficult to understand here. 1) Covers up that hole 2) It’ll just stick there in case if the figure falls off from the shelf and the headset won’t pop off 3) Hole 4) If it was designed without the hole and headset was removable, the headset would just keep sliding off 5) Holey Hole 6) Holey Holey Holey Holey 7) Nice to hole you... MEET you. Nice to meet you Hole 8) Don’t say Hole 9) I said Hole 10) Hole

Doesn't bother me tbh I still will be getting this figure regardless. Maybe they could have had a interchangeable heads that had one with the ear piece permanently on and one without for a better approach. Still doesn't take away from this figure IMO.

I actually loved this gimmick for him. It made me laugh a LOT. Heels who insult the crowd for cheap heat, but do it in the most absurd way possible are some of my favorites. Hollywood Rock was the first time that I ever liked him. I hated "The People's Champ" when he was in his prime, but when he started singing songs about how much whatever town he was in sucked, I laughed my a** off.
Maybe that's one reason I liked when Elias did it.

The first time I saw The Rock live on TV he was back as Hollywood Rock in 2003. His Rock Concert in Sacramento was awesome. He’ll be sure to come back when the Lakers beat the Kings in May.

His program with The Hurricane was some of the best ish I've ever seen the WWE do. Sometimes, when I'm feeling down, I'll go look up those locker room segments and have a good laugh. All these years later, I still find it funny. And the fact that it ended with the Hurricane going over The Rock still astounds me to this day. I never in a million years thought they'd do that. One of the biggest shocks I've ever had while watching the WWE(F). (Apparently, from Helms' reaction, neither did he)

Not my favorite upset though, that would probably be Shelton Benjamin beating Triple H the following year. I really hated Triple H back then.

I am now trying valiantly not to laugh loud enough to wake the neighbors, remembering Maven eliminating the Undertaker from the Rumble, and what a TERRIBLE ERROR IN JUDGEMENT that was... I was the biggest Taker fan back then, but it was worth it for the massive beatdown afterwards.

Speaking of that we need a maven figure.

Speaking of that we need a maven figure. Jokes aside from this thread, I would honestly buy this in an instant. I'd have him in his Mania X8 biker trunks or something with the Hardcore title and a soft good removable pants from the 2002 Royal Rumble.
