Maven in his survivor series gear the year they all got to be gm for a week or his biker shorts with more detail. Not his wm 18 at that looked was pretty bland but his royal rumble 2003 look

He started off heel. He was positive in a condescending way. He would insult the crowd or his opponent and say “That’s not a bad thing, that’s a good thing” and then put a positive spin on it but still in an insulting way. I actually loved this gimmick for him. It made me laugh a LOT. Heels who insult the crowd for cheap heat, but do it in the most absurd way possible are some of my favorites. Hollywood Rock was the first time that I ever liked him. I hated "The People's Champ" when he was in his prime, but when he started singing songs about how much whatever town he was in sucked, I laughed my a** off.
Maybe that's one reason I liked when Elias did it.
The gimmick wasn’t bad but I don’t think it fit DDP. He already had an established character and was insanely over with it in WCW. If they gave that gimmick to any up and comer that had the ability to sell it then it woulda been great. DDP doing it, you just couldn’t really buy into it. |

Is it too much to ask for a DDP figure with butterfly joints so he can put his hands together for the Diamond Cutter symbol? Regardless, this is a great looking figure even if I wasn't a fan of his WWE run. I would have rather had a re-release of the the Matty Collector Legends figure with a True FX face, or one with a jeans and taped ribs with a DDP t-shirt accessory. Come on -- that hole is SO small. Really not a huge deal, at least to me... That's pretty huge bro... put that same hole anywhere on his body and you'll think otherwise. My Legends 1 Road Warrior Animal literally has a hole like this right on his butt cheek. It came straight out of the package like that, and I've never seen that issue with another figure, so I have no clue what happened there. |
