My official guess will be the Thunderdome as the first project - that should give them a few nice aspects to play around with, it's current, and could act as a way to test the water for the Titan Tron at some point.

I don't think it'll be Thunderdome. Who wants to be reminded of COVID?

How would you do it? It’s basically just a big screen? It would depend on the budget they would allow in relation to the selling price I think; they could probably do a pretty basic set-up with stickers and plastic but for something more premium then maybe they'd look into rigging some lights or electronics into the stage to give it some atmosphere. The faces on the screen would take some designing and would of course just be static, unless they use those 3D stickers/panels where the image appears different from certain angles - that might give the illusion of movement to the crowd watching the ring. But just an idea - I expect Mattel will try to represent it somehow as they don't usually get a new stage to properly play with, but it would probably be more likely to be something uber basic to fit with the Wrekkin line or something if they did it. Plus something higher priced on Mattel Creations would have to appeal to the older collector rather than the kids that are likelier to know the Thunderdome. Also depends on how they are going to redirect the Creations idea going forever - it could just be a translucent Cena or something like that which would fit with the current artist angle of Mattel Creations.

While I don’t think it will be that’s actually a couple of creative ways around it It all comes down to cost though. That’s why we see very little playsets in general compared to the 80s and when you do a lot is cardboard and other filler - not helped by the increase in scale of figures Gone are the days of the mask boulder hill playset, the go joe Flagg or the motu eternita playset unfortunately

Huge, but also huge price tag!

Huge, but also huge price tag! I have - snake mountain was $600, was about 5 years from concept to pre-order going up and took 18 months from pre order to delivery. People on here moan if a figure is shown and not made available a week later. People complain about super 7 pre-order to delivery and complain still today about Matty collector. Greyskull mold cost half a million alone Excluding greyskull, snake mountain, the thundercats thunder tank and the Star Wars barge nothing similar has been released or will be for a long time. Super 7 went through all kinds of hell with the thunder tank Look how many playsets we had before in the 3 3/4 and 5” scales - even figure lines with a handful of figures (Robin Hood prince of thieves) had 3-5 playsets. Wrestling fans have also been spoilt in how often figures come out from Mattel and it has created a need for new products often and that’s not conducive to a long term project

So have they said when to expect this item to be revealed? When is SDCC? I’m not sure they give a great deal of notice, don’t they pretty much just drop them?
