If Tony Khan had Cornette as his creative consultant to edit/clean up his booking, AEW would be unstoppable. Cornette really grasps psychology and what not, but he doesn’t get the modern style though. However I love listening to him talk about old school wrestling. Recently listened to his five hour deep dive on starting OVW and dude knows his stuff.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I can listen to Cornette talk about old school wrestling for eight hours. I can't listen to Cornette talk about modern wrestling for eight seconds.

Cornette is hilarious. 4 years ago he would obliterate the stuff WWE would do and certain types of fans would be hanging on his sack talking about how he should be booking everything. Fast forward, those same fans are now "All Elitist" and hate everything about him because he craps all over their stuff as well. I'll take unsubstantiated claims for $100, Alex no ones wanted Cornette near a book since ROH

For proof of how out of touch he is, just watch his version of booking the Invasion angle.

Seems like people make up whatever to fit their agenda so they can spew nonsense

I listen to Cornettes podcast from time to time. For the most part I disagree with his views on wrestling. I have found myself agreeing with him on a few topics but his opinions doesn't cloud my own opinions on AEW. He's someone that should be better off ignoring.

More people probably listen to Cornette badmouth AEW and WWE than watch either of those shows. And it's because he's right for the most part.
The declining viewerships indicate that people don't watch the modern products. For the most part with wrestling fans, it's usually a case of "yeah I used to watch it, but I can't anymore". Cornette gives some insight as to why that is. The little things do matter. Maybe if people who were running things listened more to what people like him say, the product wouldn't be unwatchable.

I'd probably start out with the part where his highest viewed YouTube clip (Montreal screw job) is 1m views, and the rolling average for his videos appears to be about 50k.

It matters just as much as anyone else’s because it’s his opinion. People tend to just highlight the crazy negative things he says about AEW but conveniently leave out all the good things he says. I can tolerate him much more than Meltzer, he’s sickening on a whole other level. Any criticism of AEW on Twitter and Dave has to run to their defense and belittle everyone’s opinion. Even if it’s someone’s opinion and not even crapping on the product he feels the need to explain why their wrong and AEW is the greatest.
Cornette rants and goes over the top to be entertaining and have a laugh. He can be a bit much with his critiques if it’s someone he already dislikes, but I’ve heard plenty of compliments from him. Dave on the other hand rarely says anything negative about AEW and goes nuts if someone doesn’t like everything about them. So for me, I’d much rather listen to someone who can admit when something is good even if they aren’t a fan instead of a guy who blindly defends everything.

Yambag Jones That's a bit much. Cornette had the fortitude to denounce the dumba**. I do find it intriguing how a certain regular was already questioning the legitimacy of the incident.

I find everything Cornette says about AEW is negative. I guess in his eyes today's wrestling is negative..

That dude getting ripped by Cornette is like Scott Tenorman getting insulted by Radiohead.
