Everywhere I go I see tons upon tons of Hollywood Cena and Rock. I think this set is the biggetst peg warmer I have ever seen. I wonder if the ruthless aggresion series is a make up to wal mart for this line performing so terrible.

No, theyre not as bad as the Monsters and Mutants lines. There shouldve been some kind of comic book or cartoon to promote those things instead of releasing a Brock Lesnar as a lobster or Roman Reigns as a werewolf with no context behind it.

Piper was a good idea because there’s a market for cult horror film toys. People that like Car movies just collect hot wheels or they spend all their money on car parts. It doesn’t help that they’re very plain not exciting figures.

I haven’t seen any at my two area Walmarts in about a month. But I was down in Saddlebrook NJ today and saw 8 Cena. A couple of the BP with Trish. Three Elite Liv Morgan figures, a Candice and a Carmella.
Can you imagine how insane this line would be doing if they had Hogan as Mr Nanny in it?! You’d be saying it’s the best idea Mattel ever had!

It was who they were stuck with. They figured cena and rock would sell based on name value then created really bland figures. If they had access to different movies like princess bride or even some hogan movies they would have sold better.

Good idea, poor execution in my opinion.
To do this it needed to start with a banger figure everyone was clamoring for. Piper is the best in the set, but even he was released in a better form by NECA recently.
We needed a Hogan from No Holds Barred or something similar for this to get people talking.

i personally really like the idea. back in the day, i owned the Jakks Scorpion King figures and those were really fun. we're getting an andre the giant as Bigfoot, and for those who dont collect other toy lines, the Piper as John nada is SUPREMELY cool! the rock and Cena choices couldve worked better had they been able to make different characters. i think the Mattel Scorpion King figure is gonna be really cool.

I prefer Mattel's version. It just looks a lot cleaner and looks like the clothes he's wearing fits him. I'm pretty sure this was Mattel's idea, and not WWE, with that being said Mattel should have had a lot more leeway when it came to the selection. They got money, would've made more money back having a better selection.

No. Amazon exclusive ultimates are the biggest mistake mattel has ever made.

Piper was an awesome choice for a figure. The other two are among the most boring figures ever released. Seriously I wouldn’t pay a dollar for that Rock or Cena, let alone 20+. Not having Hogan as one of the characters in the line was a pretty big boo boo considering how many people would love a No Holds Barred Rip (which would’ve not only given us a wrestling figure in actual wrestling attire, but also given us a different colored Hogan figure. Hell, even if he were in black and red street clothes it would be a thousand times better than a crappy plain figure in jeans). This would’ve been a perfect place to release Rip and possibly Zeus.
Still though, Mattel’s biggest mistakes are between choosing obscure attires for the first two series of original legends line and whatever the Hell they’re doing with distribution that makes finding their figures a total nightmare for the past several years.

I'm pretty sure Vince financed/owns the rights to No Holds Barred so they are probably saving it for a Comic Con exclusive.

The choices could of been better for the 1st wave. None of those figures really stand out as something u need to pick up.

I wouldn’t say it their biggest mistake but the rock and john cena ones seem to be way overproduced and not enough pipers which most people want most

I LOVE the Piper and I will definitely be grabbing Rock as the scorpion king. They could have done worse...curious what will be included in wave 3.

I maintain they should have gone all out and done Macho as Bonesaw, Hogan as Mr Nanny, Undertaker from Suburban Commando and Warrior from Firepower.
Way more toyetic than generic John Cena and Rock in t shirts.
