Cool? Absolutely. But if you think the forum is a little feisty right now imagine if they locked a FTITL figure behind a $400 paywall. Don't care if it was Dennis Rodman or El Dandy, people would be furious and I understand why Mattel would be hesitant to do that as the backlash would be thunderous. They did. Scott Steiner. That is actually fair although I'm sure there will be a few Scott and Rick Steiners out by the time this actually ships. Scott will most definitely get another Ultimate Edition figure or two. |

I was just born in the wrong time. If this were in store for $200CAD I would gladly purchase it. Unfortunately, like the New Gen set, I don't want to spend $800CAD after taxes and fees and shipping, for a Nitro stage. The incentives are fine, but it's the stage I want. Seeing how the incentives sold on the second hand Canadian market makes reselling the bits I don't want not very viable. Reselling to Americans is also not viable since they are usually very scared to deal with international collectors. I just want to be able to go to the store and buy figures. It's insane to me Mattel makes this as hard as possible for international fans. As a Canadian collector, we do have it tough when it comes to this hobby. There's no arguing with that. We've missed countless waves here just because Mattel chooses to make something a US-retailer exclusive. When it comes to a project like this though, I can totally understand why retailers would not want to commit valuable space on big ticket items. The game has changed sadly, and gone are the days when you would go to a store and see shelves upon shelves of giant G.I. Joe or TMNT playsets. |

The entrance is amazing. 10/10. Unfortunately, as I said earlier, I just don't have the room for it.
That DDP is so much better than his Elites. I'm blown away. Do wish he had a shirt though instead of the vest, but that's a nitpick.
Rey makes sense to me.
Scott does as well. They'll most likely do a shorts version in the main line. Love the new arms.
Hogan is meh. I get it, but we've already had several with this look.
Warrior is really good. Not who I personally would have chosen, but I like the faces a lot. Hope they make it to other figures someday.
I do think a Booker and Luger would have been more enticing.

You know what really bugs me? That Steiner's singlet is incorrect. The shape should be more of a U shape and is more V shaped. It's not hard to find reference pics. I also don't like how we're consistently getting those cheap painted biker trunks. Could we not get get MOLDED BIKER TRUNKS? This is the singlet I wanted, I'm assuming some details were left off. I do know he wore one without details. For a figure of this caliber there shouldn't really be many mistakes. The V shape of the singlet really bothers me as well. Not sure what happened there. I'm still trying to figure out how things like that happen. There's just no excuse. I remember the Big E elite figure coming out with the singlet with his first release. The cheaply painted on biker trunks are the icing on the cake. I really like this Steiner, but it's the little details that matters. I also would of preferred the short Austin boots too, but that's a nitpick. |

I need to see reveals of other WCW figures during access, cause if I'm going to fund this, I need more than WCW guys to go along with this.
I know the giant won't be made atleast for a while, but I do have the head from is showdown pack with Ric flair that I plan on putting onto the upcoming ultimate Andre. So I do have The giant covered 😂

I'm sure this has been said before, but:
- Stage looks fantastic
- Figures are a mixed bag - very happy to (potentially) get DDP and Steiner but the rest aren't enticing. Struggle to see how this gets to 11k to get Warrior, so almost not worth considering him.
Key consideration for me: Is there value in a $400 set where the 2 fully new, exciting figures aren't guaranteed?
The New Gen arena got ~8500 backers at almost half the price of this, with more attractive and attainable figures, more elements (stage, ring, table).
As such, it's hard to see this getting to that same number, which means you're statistically quite likely to pay $400 for a stage, another Hogan and another Rey. DDP maybe just about attainable too.
On that basis, I'm on the fence at the moment - more guaranteed figures and items would probably pull me back in but for now, I'm not committed.

I'm going to try and do everything I can to get this set. I just don't care for the millionth red and yellow Hogan. It's so easy to make a WCW version. Just buy a spare UE, swap some scans and buy a shirt online. Ultimate Warrior wasn't heavily desired either. At this point I just want my jeans DDP and WCW black singlet Bret. Those would of been two fantastic choices. They aren’t just going to have someone not under contract magically sign in time to include them in this. That’s not how it’s ever worked. If they add anyone it would probably be another Macho or someone else they’ve had under a deal for a while. And since they straight up showed all five figures at once I doubt they add any more. |

Or if it the early bird doesn’t unlock and it’s looking bleak towards the end maybe they’ll offer Hogan. |
