What vote is this? The era we collect thread? If so as you said that means absolutely nothing. Especially when the choices given were so WWE heavy. lol ...doesn't it show that WCW is a more niche market though? That the collector-base is smaller (than WWE)? At least by the people who voted anyway (no matter how small, lol). It's a tough one, because NWO merch and WCW figures in general seem to sell fairly well. Between that and the popularity of Nitro at the time, I can see the logic behind suggesting there's a good-sized market out there for this. And then factor in the New Gen was WWE's least popular period in the last 40 years and you'd think the addressable markets can't be that far apart. Not exactly the most scientific of studies, but I've shown this to a few friends who are "lapsed fans" (and obviously therefore don't collect figures) and they were blown away. I think it's the sort of product that could easily kickstart the collection of people like that.

I’ve been pretty outspoken about how much I don’t want more Hogans in the line, though understanding why he’s had so many Ultimates, but that’s a bummer that fell through. If we didn’t have this particular execution in mind, the early backer fig probably would have been someone else. I'm pushing my luck by asking, but would it have been someone else already in the set? Or someone that got cut from the final lineup?

The FAQs on the Nitro Stage page of Mattel Creations says that there’s an extra £60 shipping surcharge factored into the shipping to the UK. I’m finding it strange that people are saying Mattel aren’t being up front about this, when it’s clearly being priced out in the FAQ section. “Why won’t Mattel answer this question that’s being asked so frequently??” as they ignore the Frequently Asked Questions section. Great... and what about the other £118/$147?

I think the issue is that it doesn't account for the total difference (I posted a calc earlier, there's a ~£30 overcharge). Although the £60 does indirectly account for more of the difference than originally discussed, as I think folks weren't aware that VAT/Customs fees are based on product plus shipping. The £9 added for shipping at checkout is also probably confusing some people.

I posted this calculation a few weeks back, but how I'd break it out is: - Item cost: £322. Let's say £325 to account for currency movements. - Shipping surcharge is £60, according to the Mattel FAQ - this seems a little high (based on my US-to-UK shipments), but not shockingly so. - Total pre-VAT/customs: £385 - 20% for VAT - 4% for Duties/Customs - Total: £92 Total is £477. So at £509, it's overcharged by £32/$40. Throwing this back in for visibility, might help some folks.

Was the choice to do red and yellow over Hollywood a deco reason to keep prices lower since so much is jammed into this? It was supposed to be based on PastaMania with chef hat, fork with spaghetti dangling, and plate of pasta, plus everything else that’s still potentially included. If you take a look at the renders, the new head sculpt on that Hulk exactly matches the famous Pastamania image. Unfortunately, approvals fell thorough at the last minute and we had to move with what we had. No time to pivot in a bigger way. Some unfortunate timing. Oh man, I gotta say, if we would have had the full Pastamania Hogan, I think that would have been so campy cool that would have been a help with this. I think Hogan would have been much better received as an early bird. I would love to see how that had looked. If there are any early images or samples of what you were doing, is that something you could eventually show us?

I’m wondering if Mattel accounted for shipping price increases by the time this is released and added it to the front end now?

It’s timeframes. So for me that poll was useless because my favorite era to collect is really any NWA/WCW, AWA, WWF/E wrestlers I liked/watched from the mid-70’s to the Mid-90’s. Not a specific company. Although with NWA/WCW I would buy anyone I enjoyed watching from the mid 70’s until they closed the doors. So that poll didn’t factor any of that into it. It was forcing me to select only part of my favorite era.

There should at the very least be a payment plan option for international backers.

I think we need to go where the WCW fish are swimming. We need to all start tagging WCW fan social media accounts with the crowdfunding page in hopes they repost to their followers. I only have Twitter so hoping others will follow suit and also hit up other social media pages

I've no idea. I think being able to select multiple answers (in both polls) complicates things a bit 🥴.

Hey Steve, that would have been so incredible. The thought of Pastamania next to Slim Jim Madness is a take on the Mega Powers I never knew I wanted. I just want to say that this whole project is amazing, you guys have outdone yourselves, you’ve been so patient with people, I never in a million years thought that you could bring the highest tooled new figure to the base tier as I figured the tooling costs would make that impossible. I swear, if this somehow doesn’t get funded it’s truly a crime. No matter what happens, thank you guys. And Steve, you have a much thicker skin than I do.

Was the approval issue something that will completely prevent the pasta hogan from ever being done in the future? Or is there still the opportunity to try it again in the future? Thanks again Steve for all the time you put in here.

So that poll didn’t factor any of that into it. This is my situation exactly. My main collection goes from the early ‘80s territory days through the end of the New Generation. I have no preference for any specific company, as I enjoyed them all. I would be more likely to snatch up a non-WWE character or accessory though, just because they happen less often and seem to command higher prices on the secondary market.

Action Figure Attack was there ever any consideration to try and make the stage be able to convert to an nWo Nitro stage with one of the bonus tiers? I always felt that if you have multiple display options that would be incentive for someone to consider getting more than one. Or if this funds is it possible to make pieces to convert it? I think all is needed is the ability to take the WCW off the side platforms or platforms without the WCW, a couple banners, the big middle piece, and the piece on top of the entrance.
