I won’t be backing this one, I’m not a big enough WCW guy to invest this much cash and the fact that we have to spend £145 more for it in the U.K. than US collectors do is a real kick in the teeth.
I’ll probably scoop the DDP on the aftermarket but the other figures don’t really bother me and I’m sure there will be more Steiners.

I want the stage / entrance only. The figures are generic and not really worth it.
Hogan seems like waste.. rey looks off.. Steiner will have others that are better...dont care for DDP, though i like the figure... and warrior..umm. not sure about that one. haha
I don't see this even coming close to the 9-11K... The tiers dont seem as obtainable as last yrs.

I'm not really interested in the stage - and the figures (apart from Steiner) are very underwhelming. So no.
I hope it gets backed though for those who want it and future projects.

I’d like to get two to have Steiner loose and MOC, but I’m not sure how this is going to get to 9k (let alone 11k) when the cheaper New Gen Arena didn't. Perhaps if they pull another Macho Man out of their back pocket.

What if they make a wcw ring with ue figure like Kane but we have no stage to complete it and because this fails the raw stage never gets made so your left with just new gen entrance gate and new gen ring complete thank of the future and how decisions can affect us.

If this was a Raw is War stage and Attitude Era figure unlocks, then I would have supported this crowdfund. I'm not interested in anything WCW.

after the new gen macho man and sdcc no holds barred debacles i had, i was 90% out of the next crowdfund anyway(more of a mattel creations issue, not so much the product itself). but after seeing the nitro set, i can safely say i'm 100% out. don't get me wrong, its a great stage and all. but the figure selection and overall size is rather off putting for me. add in the fact that the haslab ghostbusters proton pack was the same price, i just can't justify spending $400 on something that might not even end up with all 5 figures.
for those that are excited for this, i hope it hits all the goals. and while i don't fully disagree with the naysayers, i do think the negativity about it is a tad overblown

I'm not backing this, as I have no interest in Ultimates and the cost to get it internationally is too much to justify when I have a baby on the way and just got a new car. Let's start lobbying for a 1992 WCW Saturday Night studio set. If it gets me a Stunning Steve Ultimate, I’m in. Add in Vader, Cactus, Simmons, and Steamboat Throw in a Jesse the Body as a stretch goal. Let's Go!!! |
