I bet you’re fun at parties… what’s stupid is hoping it fails when you aren’t interested in it but others are. That’s like me telling you that I hope your birthday plans fail. Something, I assume, you’d be looking forward to but it has no baring on me. If you don’t like it and it’s not for you, then that’s fine - don’t buy it. But I’ll tell you this, if this doesn’t fund then that Raw stage has an even BIGGER mountain to climb if it’s ever proposed. If this funds, the mold for the stage base itself is made - thus helping out the future of the raw stage potentially being crowdfunded. What's stupid about hoping it fails? OK here goes.. If this product fails then hopefully mattel will learn a valuable lesson - WWE IS THEIR MAIN LINE. Let's count how many ultimate edition WWE figures there are on the market today.... Now let's count how many WCW ultimate edition are on the market today.... Oooh. There seems to be 10 times the amount of wwe figures. Why is that you ask? Oh.. maybe because wwe sells way better? It's a stupid time to do this set, the figures all suck, and it's a lazy effort. You don't build Sun man mountain before you make castle grayskull. Making the raw ring should have followed with the raw stage. Finally, and I mean this..I am alot of fun at parties. WCW is part of the WWE line. There's plenty of WCW figures that sell and we're highly desired by fans. If I'm not mistaken the overall sentiment was over the roof over the Nitro stage in comparison to the Attitude Era stage. Sure, the choices of figures for this crowdfund and attires weren't the best, but at this point it is what it is. We're getting something people have wanted since the beginning of this line. If this isn't for you that's fine, but hating and wishing for it to fail doesn't help for future projects. We need positivity. I didn't care for the New Gen set and still don't care for that era, but I funded it. I also didn't speak negatively because I didn't get my desired stage at the time (Nitro). Not everything is going to appeal to everyone, but I'm sure whatever you collect people respect. Would you have liked it if people bashed the Attitude Era stage if you were backing it and they weren't? I'm all for criticism, but just hating is weird. |

Sure, there are more WWE figures out there, but a good number of those guys spent plenty of time in WCW as well...additionally, contracts limit things. You don't think Mattel would be cranking out WCW Surfer and Crow Stingers if they had the license? You don't think people would be gobbling them up like they were going out of style? You think people are not out of bounds excited for the Steiners in their WCW looks?... IF, you are right and a RAW Stage would sell much better, than from a business standpoint, the crowdfunding is the RIGHT way to do the Nitro stage...its no risk for Mattel...if it doesn't fund, they don't waste the money manufacturing them. the Raw Stage will sell next time, or maybe even at retail. Additionally, the figures don't suck. DDP and Steiner are out of bounds when it comes to demand. I would have picked someone other than Rey, and used a different Hogan, but they both move units, and so does the Warrior (thats the figure I want most anyway). You're free to have your own (stupid) reasons for not being interested in it. WCW went out of business 22 years ago..... and yet people are still buying WCW merch to this day. The Monday Night Wars were a time in wrestling that was EPIC...... Which current WWE stars do you think will still be generating new merch sales 22 years from now? Who will be the "Legends" of 2045? Otis? Omos? Baron Corbin? Bobby Lashley? I don't think modern-day fans are going to remember 2023 WWE as fondly as many of us recall 1995-1998 WCW, DDP, Scott Steiner, Rey Mysterio.... and yes, WCW Hogan too.... |

If I had the raw stage this might be tempting, but I don't. And I have the raw ring. And none of the tiers were wcw ring skirts and matt/buckles/ropes so now the raw ring sits incomplete with no attitude stage and the wcw stage sits incomplete with no wcw ring. It's.......just........stupid. You'll probably find the WCW Nitro arena is much more cheaper to make compared to the Raw Is War stage due to its size. The titantron was huge and in scale would be big and would cost alot more than $400 that the Nitro stage is worth. I don’t think that’s true. If you look at the Raw is War stage that Mattel had on display, it was mostly repeating pieces. It was almost entirely made up of scaffolding. The WCW looks like it requires far more unique tooling and individual molds and has a ton of LEDs. I think despite the Raw is War stage’s size, it would be much cheaper to build the tooling for. The only way it would be more expensive is if they put in an LED screen for the Titan Tron. But I honestly don’t ever see Mattel making a stage that comes with an LED screen. |

Jesus christ man. That's the saddest thing I have heard this year. You don't say stuff like that out loud. Yes, I’ve spent every second of those 18 years doing nothing but reading this board. I didn’t get married, start my own comicon, become an event promoter, be honored by multiple nonprofits, have a hand in finding a few lost silent films, and personally raise over $200,000 for homeless children. The stage itself looks great. I'm not that excited about it though and the figures are a real let down. I don't need figures of those I already have just because they're Ultimates now. The figures of Rey, DDP, Warrior are unwanted for me. The Steiner attire is not 1 I really need, but I get it. The more desirable attires are going to be more accessible and more mass produced available in different lines.
