I would like it but I have no place for the stage and being an overseas collector in a country where most people don't know WWE let alone WCW it would be impossible to sell it.

Considering it's now £500 ($616) for UKers, there's no chance of me affording this. Yet again fans outside the US being screwed. well making legends and alumni superstars exclusive is already screwing overseas collectors.

Mattel Creations used to be great - very fair shipping with no other fees charged. Often times, you wouldn't even get charged by customs when your item arrived. And then a while ago, it went to poop when they started adding in their own import fees etc. Just like with eBay and their international shipping thing, whenever companies start including these fees themselves, it always seems to work out waaaay more expensive. 🤷♂️

Looks awesome for those that want it, but I’m only interested in the figures. Will be buying one and probably selling the stage. Excited for DDP and prefer this to a jeans version. I hope that Warrior gets released at some point if this doesn’t reach 11K. Nice upgrade of a limited Jakks figure that is probably thousands of dollars at this point.

I'm a lifelong WCW Fan, yes this set is a bit out of my price-range but I will dig deep and be a day-one backer; Money is tight for me, but I have a few options I can use to afford this - for that reason I am blessed.
I truly think the figures will look a lot more appealing with all their accessories - the models shown weren't complete. For me it isn't really about the figures anyway - they are a bonus! The Nitro stage is a work of art that I'm sure I'll regret passing by if it gets made and I didn't add this to my collection.
Pretty sure we won't see another set like this again - not of this level of quality. I'm will be ordering today - and I hope 11,000 other people do too! It'll be very interesting to see how the numbers play out on this.

Other: no, 1) I don't have the room for it, 2) I wouldn't buy any of the figs by themselves anyway so they are no draw to me, 3) the stage is AWESOME not worth $400+ since I'd also have to buy figures I don't want anyway (and I'm not getting into the business of selling my figs).

No because it was already ridiculously expensive as it was and then they went and added another £30 for UK collectors without explanation.

I'm backing. I'll probably do so closer to 4/7, but this stage is the epitome of everything I collect from Mattel. I'm gonna be upset if all I get is the stage and Rey, but that's how it goes. I'll figure out display once I've got it. What if they make a wcw ring with ue figure like Kane but we have no stage to complete it and because this fails the raw stage never gets made so your left with just new gen entrance gate and new gen ring complete thank of the future and how decisions can affect us. My worry is somewhere along these lines. I'm worried if this doesn't sell, they're going to look at it like "Well, WCW stuff doesn't move. Let's tone that down." WCW is pretty much all I buy from Mattel, so I'm really hoping this goes through at a high number.

Would love to but $400 is much to drop all at once.

I won't be buying. I'm not a big WCW fan so I was out fairly fast... then I was on the fence, and decided I'd regret it if I missed out. But.. I'm in Ireland so the extra expense hurts me, and has ultimately lead me to loop back to my first reaction of not backing it, as it's too expensive. At $400 (or the euro equivalent) with all the figures, it could be decent value.
Whether it fails or succeeds, I think we can safely assume RAW is next as we already seen that stage before. To be honest, it was a really bad idea to not launch the RAW stage now, just after the ring/Kane playset came out. Then once you've got the much more popular RAW stage done and dusted, you could initiate a "monday night wars" line of figures and launch the Nitro Stage crowdfund. I'd be very interested as to why they went with WCW before doing WWE.
They are often guilty of doing less popular attire choices early on, so people will buy it, and then also buy the more popular attire when it is released (Legion of Doom in blue, then in red. Bigelow in purple, then in red, Dusty in red, then in yellow, etc). so maybe they're hoping this will be the less popular stage (WCW) but the people who want a RAW stage, and are just settling for this, will go out and buy a proper RAW stage next year?
Just my thinking. A 2003 RAW Titantron, done correctly, I'd pay for without question. 99 RAW and Nitro are a bit too 'meh' to me, in terms of my interest in the actual stages, but i will still give credit where it is due, the Mattel Nitro stage does look incredible.

Nah, not spending £500 - and definitely not spending £500 on anything WCW related... rather hoping most of it fails, tbh.

I feel there should be another option: no because I don’t like the added fees for international

The Canadian price includes duties and import fees. When I clicked a link in the email Mattel Creations sent out, that information was in a pop up right when I got to the product page. $151 is a lot for duties and import fees, is it not? I believe the dimensions of the item, its weight, and its MSRP all play a factor. And then you have the exchange rate on top of that.

TL;DR: For me, it really just comes down to overall interest - there's nothing here outside of the stage that I would consider buying at retail - mixed with the layout of the campaign.
-I love the stage. I was a big fan of Nitro, I think it came out beautifully. Part of me would love to have it, but objectively I have no space for it and I feel that the setup I have now with the New Gen arena is slightly more malleable for fig photography and etc. So it would likely end up sitting in the box, and for me personally having it boxed up somewhere isn't worth it.
Figure by Figure:
-Hogan: I'm not a Hogan guy, and don't actually own any Mattel figures of him. -Rey: Cool figure, but honestly I'm happier with the WCW-era Elite Reys I have, and I'm much more interested in the RA Ultimate. -DDP: The figure that interests me the most of the set, and admittedly the one I may purchase on the secondary market if it gets funded. That said, it's still very similar to the Elite I have, and isn't the DDP I truly want (yes, 97 jeans just like every one else) -Steiner: A cool looking figure, but not the version of Scott I'm interested in owning. -Warrior: See Hogan.
The other issue for me personally comes down to the order of tiers if say DDP was in the Rey spot and Steiner was in the DDP spot, making both of this figures more likely, I might think differently.
FWIW, I do think this set will be a great value if it gets funded to the Steiner-level, let alone the Warrior level, and I hope it does for the people that want it.

I continue to not 'get' Ultimates. They just look worse to me than Elites. Especially since the cartoonish butterfly joints were introduced. Steiner's arms look so long.
Also, far too expensive.
