Meh, it doesnt bother me but im not into the flipping game and I dont find the need to pay exuberant amounts for figs I missed. I started in 2014 and missed a bunch. Through time and patience ive filled in a bunch of older figs for fairly cheap.
I knoe im probably a minority here but instead of spending 200$ on a old figure i missed, id rather use it onnupcoming figures, hoping i find the old ones cheaper. So with re-releases im able to snag a few I didnt get prior. But I am also not buying new versions of ones I have, even if they have elbow upgrades/better scans/etc.
It mostly comes down to the fact that im a casual collector though. I mean i have nearly 600 figures, but I keep my budget strict with them and its sorta paying off for me now.
I should note: that I totally get the frusrations of those more into it than I am though.

Re release anything that has demand. I don’t care one bit. I’ve got almost every figure I ever wanted now and would never begrudge someone else getting it for the “value” of my collection.

I'm okay with it specially if there's a significant change like UE Warrior with the upgrade. I just dont get the ones just recently release. There's much other good choices.

Nothing but positive.
Looking forward to Legends Bulldog rerelease. I plan on converting it to an Ultimate. This was impossible with the original release due to the price, older parts and missing True fx.
Despite I already own all if them. The Ultimate releases with upgraded joints such as Bret Hart and Stone Cold are great aswell. Hoping for a regular Triple H with the newer joints.
All in all this attracts new collectors and helps the line to keep on going. Win win for everybody minus the people who still think it’s smart to „invest“ in toys.

As others have said I didn't get into this hobby to get rich, if anything its made me far more broke haha.
The reissues don't bother me at all, it helps others flesh out their collections without breaking the bank.
I do wish they'd correct some of their past mistakes on them though, the MITB Seth still has the pencil legs which they should of figured out.

I am all for these re-releases as long as it is not at the expense of a regular wave. Greatest Hits, Best of Legends, all fine and good, as long as it doesn't take waves away from the regular Elite and Legends lines. And Steve did confirm that it was not doing so.
I wouldn't have King Harley Race if it wasn't for the re-releases. That said - he is the only one I got from the Greatest Hits waves. I am not sure if I am going to get any of the Best of Legends figures either. Maybe Bruno & Funk, although I have the originals. Actually will probably get Bray, as it is new figures, and looks good.
If this gets more hard to find figures out, then cool. I'm looking at you, Hall of Champions Ron Simmons, probably my biggest want now for a re-release.

I had another rant typed out, but I’m not wasting my time. All I’ll say is this:
Another person being able to have the same figure as you doesn’t mean you don’t have yours anymore. If you’re buying figures as an investment, you should be buying vintage. Nothing mass-produced after toy companies started aiming at collectors is ever going to make you rich.

Well, as you know some just legally will not be remade.
The upgrades are good - as long as there are upgrades.
Sadly I think they are running out of ideas, I would much prefer undone attires but most importantly undone wrestlers and personalities!
What my real problem is... its the DISTRIBUTION!!!!!! that's what needs attention!

My only issue really with this "Greatest Hits" elite line is that it's not what it's being defined as.
A Greatest Hits album is a compilation of a band or artist's best work, sometimes with a bonus track or two Not an entire selection of B-sides and rarities
What it feels like they are doing, to me, is looking at figures that were exclusive to a retailer, or not widely distributed, and just re-releasing them so it does kill the value of the originals. But those were not necessarily the best figures they've ever released. In 2010 and 2011 Mattel did "Best of" Elite Series where they re-released figures from different Elite sets that year....then for some reason it just stopped.
Plus with almost every figure that's been in the GH line, they could have put out the same character in a different attire or look and people still would have been happy. You're telling me Shawn Michaels doesn't have like 75 different attires that people would want in Elite form? but they spent resources and money just slightly upgrading the Wrestlemania elite?
I've been collecting this line literally from Day 1. I have over 1,000 Elite figures. I kind of enjoy the fact that some of them actually have a higher value than most. It's just a nice bonus from all the time, effort, energy and MONEY I have put in to this hobby. I never bought anything with the thought of "oh someday this will be worth hundreds"....no mass-released figure in this era is going to be, really. Even all these GH figures, the originals aren't like this massive gold mine, and they are still selling for 3x the original cost.
One thing I really don't want to see happen is for them to start re-doing legit Exclusives (Ringside, Comic Con, etc). Those should always have a premium on them. They were designed to be just that. They weren't "rare" at the time, those who bought em, should have that benefit of their value being high. I know they will though, its just a question of when.

"Lost Legends" sounded like a dead wrestlers line

I don't mind. I still enjoy my Elite version then the reboot Ultimate, of the same attire.
I think its also great that Mattel re-released figures from the past. If I was a new collector it would be heart breaking to never get a chance at an earlier Bam Bam, Bret Hart or Shawn Micheals attire.

At this rate it’s gonna be good for folks to eventually get these Walmart exclusives via re-releases

I think there's probably modern boutique-label stuff that's worth investing in, but it's always hard to predict. Like, my early Mythic Legions go for ridiculous amounts, but 4H tries to re-release things as much as possible. Import stuff is probably an okay bet.
But yeah, don't invest in something that's been on a Wal-Mart shelf unless you're prepared to pay everyone else's mom to throw theirs away.

They’re fine, and actually preferable when something about them improves the original version

I'm all for it. I have tons of elite legends, but there are a few I skipped and a couple I missed. I picked up Best of Rikishi, Jake, Bam Bam, and Undertaker and plan to pick up Best of 2 Harley and Undertaker. The rest, I don't need. I don't need anything from Best of 3. But maybe the next person does, so it just saves me some money the way I see it.

So, if you have the OG Harley Race, in 20 years from now, will that Harley Race be worth a lot since it’s one of the rarest mattel figure we’ve seen in quite a while? I don’t think the re release takes away thay value for the ppl who has it

While I do generally agree about not re-releasing special/limited figures, I don't mind the way they're re-releasing some earlier RSC exclusive figures as Ultimates (all-pink Bret, B&W Macho)... it gives people who wanted them a chance to get them, while being different from the original releases too.
