Cena, who has managed to combine acting and grappling, feels that Rocky has betrayed his fans by concentrating solely on Hollywood. Rock will make a one-off appearance at this year's WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony to induct his dad and granddad, but John told us: "He is a genuinely nice guy and a fantastic human being. "What I kind of get peeved about, and this is my Achilles heel, is that I've wanted to do this my whole life. "Rock falls into that category. At one point he loved wrestling and wanted to do this all his life. "So explain to me why he can't come back. "Simply put it's because he wants to be an actor and there's nothing wrong with that. He's very good and very successful. Associating with sports entertainment doesn't do much for his acting career. I get it. "Just don't f*** me around and tell me that you love this. "That's the only thing that gets me really p***ed off. "Our fan base have so much admiration for him, he's got to respect that. He doesn't give anything back." www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/article849554.ece

It's true, if he didn't have a wrestling career he wouldn't be doing all these movies. He should respect where he came from more.

Stupid. Just because you love something, doesn't mean you need to do it forever. Let him lead his life.

Wow. His right in some ways but I still like The Rock a lot more but no doubt Cena is kinda right here. Also what he says about the drug policy is cool, I think Cena is clean and it's cool that he feels strongly about drug use in wrestling. Also guy above me, Cena isn't hating on Rock for going to movies and leaving wrestling it's that Rock still acts like he cares about the fans yet doesn't give anything back anymore.

I wanna make it a point to say, I surrendered my urge to post this when I first saw it.
Cena could probably say this was taken out of context, although I believe it was an audio interview.
On text alone, Cena comes off like a punk. I wish the Rock would return to bitch slap him, but there's far more haters of the Great One, in higher-up, than there is supporters.

That doesn't sound like something Cena would say.

Btw, on the Suns wrestling homepage, the pic of Heyman makes him look like a hobo.

The Rock has jobbed time and time again (putting over Angle, Triple H, Brock, and Goldberg), he's paid all his dues (even making up for his quick World Title push by sealing Foley's fate as a legend), and he doesn't need the business.
Who's to say he doesn't love wrestling, who's to say he doesn't miss it? And who's to say he HAS to come back to wrestling, when he's living comfortably without it running his life? Not you, or anyone else.

i agree with him to a point. i'm happy for the rock that he has such a good acting career and what-not, but he obviously couldn't give a less about wrestling anymore. i'm starting to consider the once a year or whatever 1 offs he does to be a bit insulting now. i was a huge rock fan, but he did pretty much blow off all his fans that made him famous in the 1st place.

what would be funny is if in a few years john cena leaves wwe to do movies and rarely appears on wwe tv.

Wow. Very interesting. I would love to see them face to face in the ring though, since it's never happened yet.

I agree with Cena. The Rock is loved by everyone and if he wanted to show some appreciation to the fans, he'd come out there and get in the ring.

I'm not a huge Cena fan, but to be honest I kind of agree. Without wrestling he wouldn't have an acting career so he should at least make more appearances insteaod of blowing everything off.

I agree with Cena. The Rock is loved by everyone and if he wanted to show some appreciation to the fans, he'd come out there and get in the ring. Not everybody has to whore themselves out like Foley and Austin. Why is it now being expected of wrestlers to lace up the boots again after they've retired?

There's going to be the Cena fans who argue his point or continue criticizing him but as a major Rock fan, I agree with every word Cena said. As one of his many fans, I feel as though I am a small part of the reason he's in the position that he is today. He wouldn't afford a multi-million dollar house, make millions per film, or have the star persona he has today without the wrestling fans catipulting him to the top of the industry, thus making him a cross-over star. When I read him say in interviews that he's not coming back or he has no want to come back, I feel like he has turned on the people that made him what he is. Cena's right and no matter how many people will oppose his comments, deep down inside I think most agree. If this was Triple H saying it, we'd applaud him. If it were Michaels, he'd be celebrated. If Ric Flair had said this, it'd be written down and recited as scripture. Cena said it so it'll draw criticism.
