^ dont ever doubt a samoan in a street fight. you're kinda pushing it there yeah ur right. black, and samoan. two leathal fighters. Rocks both. damn was that a story or what on Legends roundtable when they were talking about peter miavia arrested. but still though. i say cena could take The Rock. hes younger, faster, and stronger. Not to mention The Rock probably doesnt work more than he used to. He probably just says in good enough shape to land roles. last I heard, casting directers want the Rock to get smaller if he wants to land better roles.

the tribal is on the other arm. Here's some things to consider though. (I totally support what Cena says from what I've read) I don't think we're asking for the Rock to come back and wrestle on a regular basis but damn......an APPEARANCE from time to time that is actually,...you know, LIVE instead of all this taped stuff that they can use for months from one sitting....that's what I don't like. The guy turned down an appearance at the 15th anniversary show. A show that MADE HIM what he is today. I'm a Rock fan through and through, always have been from the Rocky days but it would be nice to see him give back to the fans that got him where he is today. Second, I think WWE is being very cautious on having him induct his father/grandfather. I gotta think, if it was taking place anywhere other than Florida, Rock would get booed out of the building Don't believe me? Check that promo he cut on Jericho years back after doing movies and being gone for a while. That's what led to his last heel run. How do you know The Rock didn't want to be at the Raw 15th show? I am pretty sure the studio that was shelling out millions and millions of dollars for him to act wouldn't appreciate him stopping production for a day so he can please a bunch of people on the internet. A day may not seem like much but time is money. I was never a fan of "Great One" and his movies, I do agree with John Cena, The Rock should give us one more match and then retire for good and make crappy movies If you were never a fan of The Rock then why do you want him to wrestle one more match Just to see his ass get beat hahaha

There's going to be the Cena fans who argue his point or continue criticizing him but as a major Rock fan, I agree with every word Cena said. As one of his many fans, I feel as though I am a small part of the reason he's in the position that he is today. He wouldn't afford a multi-million dollar house, make millions per film, or have the star persona he has today without the wrestling fans catipulting him to the top of the industry, thus making him a cross-over star. When I read him say in interviews that he's not coming back or he has no want to come back, I feel like he has turned on the people that made him what he is. Cena's right and no matter how many people will oppose his comments, deep down inside I think most agree. If this was Triple H saying it, we'd applaud him. If it were Michaels, he'd be celebrated. If Ric Flair had said this, it'd be written down and recited as scripture. Cena said it so it'll draw criticism. exactly. theres no way. NO WAY, Dwayne (i call him that, because thats what he wants to be called. The Rock will be the guy at the HOF.. maybe) can sit there and say he loves WWE, he misses WWE without wanting to come back. When somebody becomes that succesful, and this goes for anyone, they always go back to their roots once and a while. For Dwayne, he used WWE as a stepping stone. Its not like his body cant handle wrestling, unlike stone cold. Hell at least Stone Cold can appear and participate like 3 or 4 times a year. If i remember right, it was the Fans that made him who he is anyway. They boo'd his Debut gimmick, and they ran with it and turned him heel. Then theres always the one video that just goes to show The Rock has no problem lying, just to take the spotlight from stone cold, and make himself look bigger: www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/The%2BRock%2Breturns/video/x1q2b8_the-rocks-return-in-2002_shortfilmsTHANK YOU FOR POSTING THAT LINK! I've been looking and looking for it with no luck! A lot of people keep repeating the same thing in here about WHY he doesn't wrestle, but to make those comments... well... ...that's what I don't like.

The Rock defiantly works out a lot still, he may not be as big as he was in 2002 but he is much more ripped and has said himself that he feels healthier. The Rock even has ab definition now (aka 6-pack).

I find it funny how everytime he comes back, he has a new Rock T shirt?
Remember that How's Your Lips one? He wore that, what, twice? It sold more than a new Rey Mysterio figure.

funny thing about the Rock is that he lets the crowd get to him. Cena doesn't. Cena encourages people to boo. Rock is confused by it. Watch the match between he and Brock Lesnar. Rock got booed out of the building and the place was estatic when Brock got the 3 count. All through the match, Rock kept looking out at the crowd and was mouthing at them for booing him. I just watched the match again this afternoon (gotta love days off) and it's pretty obvious. If Rock gets booed again @ the HOF, I won't be at all shocked.

John Cena will never be as good as The Rock. The Rock is a much better wrestler and got the better mic skills. Who does Cena think he is to talk all this ying yang about The Rock.

have you guys even listened to the interview? You make it sound like Cena talked down on and insulted the Rock. What you've read are sentences that aren't even complete at that! This is like Cena when he was interviewed by CNN! Watch the ENTIRE thing. Cena DOES NOT say he wants Rock to wrestle a regular schedule OR even wrestle at all! He wants him to from time to time stop in, say hi to the crowd and "do the eyebrow thing" and leave. Give the guy a break.

I agree with J Pap. Listen to the whole interview before you bash the guy. Also, here is my take on it that I posted as a response to some negative feedback on my blog supporting Cena for what he said:
Make no mistake, I am thrilled for the Rock that he has accomplished things outside of the wrestling ring, such as becoming a successful movie star and making a comfortable life for him and his daughter (I would also say wife but I believe they have divorced) without having to have his body beat-up and shredded to the point he can't get on his knees and play with his daughter, ala Mick Foley.
Also, I do not expect or want Rock to make a full-time, semi-time or part-time return. I respect the fact that the man is done with wrestling as he accomplished all he could during his time, leaving one heck of a legacy that will be hard for any current or future professional wrestler to follow.
That being said, I do still maintain that I do not think it would hurt the Rock, or his legacy as that is set in stone, to make a one-time special appearance (non-wrestling wise) once-a-year or once-every-two-years just so the fans could see him one more time.
For example, when he showed up out-of-the-blue on the December 2003 Raw in Anaheim to help Mick Foley against La Resistance, that was a "Oh My God" moment as a result of no one expecting him. Don't believe me, listen to the Pond erupt when he came out.
I will also maintain that Rock should have showed up for the Raw XV Anniversary Show as not only was he invited by Vince McMahon personally but he was an integral part of Monday Night Raw during the Monday Night Wars and was the one big name missing from the show that featured almost every other wrestler from the past 15-years one could think of.
As for Cena, I don't think this has to do with being jealous of Rock. I think it has more to do with frustration. Frustration in that Cena has worked his rear off the last eight years to get where he is today and if you had worked that hard at something and kept hearing one of your peers say how much they loved their profession as much as you did but are never around, outside activities or not, you would probably be a bit peeved also.
Also being a professional wrestler is something Cena has always wanted to be while Rock, if you read his autobiography, didn't always want to be a pro-wrestler. Rather, Rock wanted to be a pro-football player and got into pro-wrestling after realizing his football days were pretty much done, though not because of a lack of heart or effort. Just things were meant to be and worked out better for Rock in the long run.
While Cena has made a movie and released an album, Cena has always been adamant that being in the WWE and being a professional wrestler is his first and only passion and he couldn't see himself doing anything else. While most will call Cena's character a fake, no one can deny that their is nothing fake about how Cena, the real life person, feels about the industry and you can see he has a passion for what he does whenever he talks to the media outlets.
