I was just wondering.
I am not too embarrassed, but i hate it when someone walks into my room and looks around and see's the ring and also belts and i just think to myself 'I bet they think I'm just childish' But whatever.
Just wondering about you guys?

Nope. Not one bit. Collecting is a lot of fun for me and a great hobby. I do play a lot and it's still fun for me. Wrestling figures in general are just 'my thing'.

Nah. I like what I like and I dont care what others think. If they think its gay or childish...oh well. They are entitled to their opinion. I think video games are childish. I know thats not a popular sentiment. But oh well. To each their own. Some have their video games, some have their wrestling figs. I also find taking your piece of crap car worth about 2K and putting 30K in upgrades, including 10K worth of rims is gay. But oh well.....to each their own.

No....I'm 23 and my parents think it's childish to collect figures and I say this:
"Hey, I could be doing worse things! I'm not an alcoholic, I've never done drugs and I don't commit crimes! Figures are one of my hobbies and it keeps me out of trouble! If collecting figures is the worst thing I do with my life then I think we did ok!"

no way. as the dude above me said, u could be doing worse things, ill be 22 next month and i play and collect. my fiancee knows and loves it. my friends kno and if they dont like it they dont say anything, cuz ill come back by saying, 'yea, and getting trashed every night is cool?' its not, not healthy or safe either. my dad makes fun of me in a joking way, he thinks its cool tho, every now and again he'll see a new figure i got of a guy he knows and comment on it. my mom hated it when i got back into it, but, now she just doesnt want me blowing all my money, which i never have come close to doing.

I've got my whole collection in boxes at this point because i'm single and it's just something I don't want to explain to potential suitors, at least not at first.

I think there's a limit to how much you should colect. I think 5 would be the most I'd keep MOC, and give the rest to my brother. I'm for both sides though. Yeah, people will judge you by how much you collect, but in the end of life, no one makes it out alive. So do what you want to do, your business is your business. But my thing would be for example buy the current Orton/CMPunk/Jericho/Morrison/Hardy. If a "better" fig comes out, the other is replaced. No need to waste money on a repaint. Oh, but you're a dumbass if you turn down a 1of500

I've had two near death experiences where my girlfriend came so close to seeing them. First time they were RIGHT next to her head, but she didn't notice. And today they were in my corner, so I threw some clothes on it.

I am 24 and not embarrassed about collecting at all.
I work as a real estate agent for all of the major cell phone companies, and my desk in my office has quite a few figures on it...people don't think collecting is weird. In fact, most people I meet are pretty interested in my stuff. My girlfriend is CONSTANTLY checking the stores for me (matter of fact some of my coolest stuff I got from her!). My parents would probably bust my balls about it if I was not doing well in life (financially, professionally etc), but luckily I am, so that's good.
Honestly, if I know anything, it's that you have much more important things to worry about then if other people approve of your hobby...

Not at all. I'm a musical artist and when I'm on the road I usually pull em out and play with em. My group laughs at me but I don't care. I bring my whole RS Ring with my and cut actual promos. It's quite fun

Actually....yes. In my neighbor hood everyone considers wrestling gay. So I kinda keep it on the down low cept for like 2 of my long time friends. Atleast I can easily hind my collection, my figs are in a big thing under my bed, and i can easily put my arena in my closet.

I don't feel embarassed about collecting. It's something that I like to do and if people don't like it, then that's too bad. I'll collect what I want to collect.

Well when there is a wrestling figure site with 12,000 people on it I don't see why we should. Now if we were a majoritaly male teenage barbie collectors I could see that. Since that is a majoritally female demo. Wrestling is kind of a guy thing except in my town where the females double the males. I know 2 guys and 5 girls.
I for one feel emberassed by feeling inferior since I have way less than people on here. I wish I had a job so I could get it up too Wfigs quality.
