The below rumour is doing the rounds on all the usual mMA website Forums Randy Couture might be returning to the uFC to headline UFC 91 in Portland. Against Brock Lesnar........ If true Randy is still the UFC Champion as was never stripped, then off the back of TUF Nog/ Mir for the Interui title with the winners meeting to unify the two belts in 2009. How insane would that be? Holy shit! That would be a kick ass main event. It would could be see Couture back in UFC again, and im my opinion, he would kick the crapout of Lesnar.

Yeah that's too good to be true, plus say Brock won that fight, he's suddenly the champ after a 2-1 record in MMA?
Maybe have it Brock/Couture in a non-title fight, then have the winner of Mir/Nog fight Couture for the title. Couture then finishes his 4 fight contract and trains for a fight against Fedor. Unlikely, but would be very interesting.

That would be a horrible fight for Randy Couture...if he just wanted to see who was the better wrestler that would be interesting..but from an MMA standpoint Randy has nothing to gain and Brock would have everything to gain, win or lose...imagine Brocks ego if he won against Couture? WOW.

id love to believe it but i doubt itll happen. if anything he would fight nogueira since hes the interim champ. plus i dont think brock is worthy yet. he needs to get through kongo first.

2-2 after the Kongo fight After seeing Brock take out Heath, I don't see Kongo winning that fight. Brock needs to learn how to stay on his opponent when he's got full mount and how to apply a rear naked choke. Kongo is awful on the floor, Brock just needs to drop him and swing away. |
