This is pretty disappointing. I guess like others have mentioned here I really hope it's not the end of Macho Man in the line as he's absolutely one of my favorites of all time. I generally make it point to grab all of the Macho's they release.

Because for a lot of fans, not everything has to be WWE to be official. A lot of the figures have official licenses from the people who own them. The WWE doesn't own the rights to everyone who's ever passed through their doors.

How dare people not being happy about paying 5x the price of something. But they'll have it. And that's what they want, no? They want it. Hey, man, I hate that I owe the IRS a lot of money every year ... but that's my problem, not theirs. My rent is high. That's on me. Bills suck. Life isn't about being handed things to you just because you want them and in the way you want them. That's not how it works. Limited Editions and Exclusives in all walks of life are here to stay. Suck it up. Don't be angry the McRib and Shamrock Shake aren't available 24/7/365. I won't be mad about the McRib or Shamrock Shake. They'll be back out next year. Apples to Oranges. Weird take. It's not about being handed anything, its about buying something you want. Again, apples to oranges. Is it foreign to you that collectors want something? Because you're literally on a collector board telling people they should be fine not getting something or paying secondary prices because that's the way it is. So in other words, never say anything about anything you're unhappy with. Seems reasonable.

How dare people want to buy something Or, how dare people not understand the word limited. BTW, if you want it, you CAN get it. This is ALL about people not being able to get it for its original price. How dare people not being happy about paying 5x the price of something.

Still not seeing any of the shippers where I am. For some reason the Walmarts near me never get them, only one of them does and it's ravaged immediately, and it's been this way for years.
There is no rhyme or reason with how the stores roll this stuff out. Outside of the Legends line at Target, nothing is ever consistently stocked. When I started collecting the line in 2015 it was RARELY an issue. Why it needs to be this way will forever be a mystery to me. It's a big reason why I cut way back on what I was buying. So I guess thanks Mattel/Walmart/Target for saving me money?!

This isn't directed at anyone specific, but I really don't get people's obsession with wanting EVERYONE "re-done" whenever a slightly new figure style comes along, when there's so many classic names who don't have ANY Mattel figure yet (or even any figures EVER for that matter). Most of these guys listed here have perfectly fine Elite figures. Sure it makes sense to redo names here and there, or if someone hasn't had a figure in a decade or more, but I just don't like the "start again" collecting mentality and the implication that redoing all the A-listers in a new style should be prioritized over getting more obscure names (in any style) who are much more deserving of a new figure. As a 25+ year collector I've learned to be OK with mixing different styles and companies in my figure display. Sure in an ideal world everything would match perfectly, but styles are constantly evolving/improving, different names become available and unavailable, and the more obscure names gradually get (undeservedly) forgotten. I'd rather the focus be more on building a deeper roster of Legends, even if the styles don't always match. Instead of redoing everyone as an Ultimate, I'd hope Mattel would work on ticking off names who don't have any figure, like those awesome lists of missing names arranged by PPV appearances, which were put together by WF member grandmasterPRA : forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/374505/biggest-missing-legends-eraNot exactly what you were talking about, but I feel everyone getting Ultimate's is kind of stupid and defeating the purpose. Ultimate's should be reserved for special wrestlers and special moments. Kind of how Defining Moments were. For example, I have no issue with Mattel making the The Gobbledy Gooker but I think it's really stupid that they made an Ultimate of it. Especially considering people that tend to like that are doing so through rose-colored glasses. NOBODY and I mean NOBODY thought the Gooker was cool when it happened. But NOW people want it in figure form? Besides the SS that it debuted it was never seen or heard from again, so why should anyone REALLY need that footnote in their collection other than ironically liking it?

I mainly collect legends at this point although occasionally I'll pick up newer superstars depending on who I'm really a fan of. I used to collect everything years ago and I quickly cut back on that once they started repeating too many of them and I cut back even more once they raised the prices the last time. I collect both loose and MOC.

If only they re-release demolition and the road warriors… Speaking my language over here. I’d buy both so fast I’d light my keyboard on fire.

Wondering if there is a way you can tell from pictures, i pay attention to the tape, Mattel is usually a clean cut but not even, repacks I’ve noticed have teeth cuts in their tape, is that accurate? can anyone tell me if they have a new UE with teeth cuts on the tape, love to get some feedback ASAP I can't give you a clear answer to your question, but I thought it was worth mentioning that the Macho/Diesel/Doink that came out as part of the crowdfunding campaign doesn't have any tape on them whatsoever. So essentially if they've been taken out of their shipping boxes there is no way to guarantee that they haven't been repacked or not.

and THIS is the problem. people actually want to buy elites, the main series and the exclusives. the store gets a case, and one person walks out with everything. then the shelf sits empty for 3+ months. I'm not saying you did anything wrong, btw. I'm saying the fact that Walmart allocates one tiny spot to elites is a ing joke. Their planogram is absolutely horrible. The amount of space they give to wrestling, compared to how much it would sell if they carried the correct products, is also a joke. They don't order right, they don't stock right, and they don't have enough space for product that would actually sell instead they'd rather look at pegs and pegs of $9.99 basics because "parents".....even though parents aren't buying them See this used to be why the thrill of the "hunt" was such a huge part of collecting. When you do find that fresh case on the pegs its the best feeling as a collector. However be it Walmart or Mattel or whoever is to blame those moments are a thing of the past or at least few and far between now and days. Its so much easier to find that thrill online now, which is sad. Specially with in store exclusives that either you never see on the pegs or never even make it to the pegs you look at. It's getting frustrating as a collector the prices keep going up and the selection at retail is weeks if not months behind online retail for the same price. It's starting to be a frustrating experience for me as well. High prices are one thing at retail but then they can't even keep items on the shelf? Figure hunting has basically been rendered pointless by it for me. Which sucks because I used to really enjoy it. Now I won't waste the time or gas to even bother.

Really happy about this. That Bulldog is a BIG need for my collection. They should also have their own new packaging too so I'm good with it.

This all seemed to start when the stores all got their own exclusive lines. Prior to that you'd see several restocks of an elite series, but since they all have their own exclusives, you're lucky if they even get series without skipping a bunch. Kind of weird too considering once Toys R Us closed in the states, it seemed like Target and Walmart got even WORSE with this. So now you either get lucky finding a series or you almost have to exclusively get them online.

My head just about exploded when I saw that Capt. Lou. Been waiting ages for an elite and they do this for whatever reason. Mattel sure likes frustrating its customer base. Could be because these might be easier to design and faster to produce than Elites or Ultimates. I imagine he will get an elite eventually, maybe an Ultimate if they put him in the Coliseum Collection line. Might see renders at SDCC. I'm not doubting that, but it's still goofy. That would be fine if it was a newer superstar that was gaining popularity or something. But Lou has been around before wrestling figures themselves. I'm sure we'll see one eventually but for his first appearance in the Mattel line to be in a secondary line is rather frustrating. Its also even more annoying because the Superstars line at retail has been a mess distribution wise.

They asked Bill about this attire at WM this year and he said there wasn’t really any other looks from Brock at this era to choose from. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤬🤬🤬🤬 The whole time I was thinking is he not aware of the skull logo? "There wasn't really any other looks from Brock, at this era, to choose from." I swear, Bill makes me want to scream. "No other looks." Making Undertaker, who was once dubbed 'The Pale Destroyer' into 'The Tan Destroyer.' Giving us a Superstars Captain Lou instead of an Elite. These choices are maddening. My head just about exploded when I saw that Capt. Lou. Been waiting ages for an elite and they do this for whatever reason. Mattel sure likes frustrating its customer base.

Main-line Elite figures are pretty scarce at retail in my area - doesn't seem to matter if they are legends or current stars, the stores simply don't get the main-line Elite sets in - EVER. I've yet to see any Elite 100's at any retail store. It's pretty much the same way where I'm at too. I saw this happen years ago when the exclusive lines started. Stores would get multiple cases of an elite set in and that's how they filled the pegs. But once every store got exclusives they basically get one case and on to the next (and a lot of times they skip one or two sets).
