Haha, I had a stack of cash ready to order SDCC stuff this week. So far only NECA has my money. Mattel is a sh** show at the moment. Same. Ordered nothing. Held off on any eBay purchases, had a bonus from work burning a hole on my pocket and sold some stuff online ready. Not one dollar spent. |

I think the only way this changes is if enough people band together and say how much we don’t enjoy this system.
It’s the only way to counter act the influencers talking about how great it is to sell out in 8 seconds and how that’s great for collecting.
Now watch some guy come in with “I got all of those, don’t seen an issue” start an argument and get the thread locked.

Glad I’m not the only one who felt that way about the value. A first time figure would blind me to the cost a little, but this isn’t good value. Was anyone clamoring for another diesel? Or doink? This guy was 108% clamoring for another Doink. But I understand your point. In my opinion, this would have been a slam dunk if they were able to debut a UE New Generation Jeff Jarrett. A highly-anticipated figure that perfectly fits the theme. In an ideal world, they roll out the Jarrett everybody has been clamoring for and down the road he gets a few other releases so fans who can't justify the cost of the ring at least are able to obtain a version for their collections. Everybody is happy. However, the issue with attaching a shiny new name to this kind of playset is that it probably would have pissed off a good portion of the fanbase. Wrestling figure collectors are a different breed and they would look at it as a manipulative power play. A leverage move on the part of Mattel where they are FORCED to buy an expensive set just for one figure that they have been waiting on forever. How dare they?! People were livid about the last ring that contained an exclusive Goldberg which was nowhere near as expensive as this one. It is a slippery slope. You make a good point. Even a Dink to go with Doink tho could have been something worth getting. |

The taker is the one we’ve all been waiting on. I’ll definitely get it, but I’d love them to fix the heads. It needs a teardrop IMO and yeah to look a bit younger.
Kane is dope, but with HoC and early elite it’s tough to get a 3rd. Plus I have taker as Kane too. On the fence.

Hugely interested in how this arena goes.
My head tells me I have a decent enough neon arena made for me that also has the little podiums in front that this is missing. I also have an accurate ring skirt and 3 diesel figures.
Yet I don’t want this to fail. For me to drop what would be about $500 Australian though is a big ask.

Totally on the fence on this one.
Would probably have been more inclined to buy with a better figure choice. Don’t need a 4th diesel at all. Announcer Vince it any ftitl new gen figure could have got me. For now it’s a maybe.

Based on other WWE products (2K Battlegrounds, WWE Champions app, WWE Universe app, WWE SuperCard) these are all eligible "First Time in the Line" talent that would appear to be available to license - "High Chief" Peter Maivia Snoop Dogg The Gobbledy Gooker "Chief" Jay Strongbow Haku Koko B. Ware Mr. Fuji Haku, Fuji and Koko are 3 big wants. Gooker I’d like. The others would be passed probably. |

The way I look at it this. If my job had an online forum and I could choose to go on there in my own time and I got his with questions with “hey any chance you could use accurate parts as that last one really sucked” would I want to spend my spare time answering that again and again? Likely not. I don’t think anyone hates on Steve or did Bill, but they sure do phrase their questions rudely at times and they don’t really have to be on here. Being polite is free. But…this isn’t Mattel’s forum. We’re all fans. The fact that they come here and post is a total charity move on their part. They have NO OBLIGATION to do so as far as I know. That’s my point. We shouldn’t expect that their role means they have to put up with and acknowledge rude questions. |

They already ran Bill off and sent him death threats I still haven’t seen anything where somebody was hating on Steve. I mean obviously if you do something as in directing a movie, sculpting items, make toys, manufacturer cars etc. you’re gonna have criticism , if you can’t handle criticism , then you’re in the wrong profession. People here voice their opinions based on the product they pay money for, and as collectors they spend ALOT of money. And those people don’t want half baked stuff. bill has stated plenty of times how much of a big wrestling fan he is, so there is no excuse to why every legend figure which he grew up watching, is wrong. I mean, obviously you’re not going to have something do without looking at a photo and drawing up a rough draft to make sure it’s right. So, when you get figures that’s wrong or half assed, you know before it’s even released you’re going to get back lash for it. Let’s go to the UE Hogan for example, Steve mentioned it’s going to have unpainted stubble because they didn’t have time to make it right, but who’s got the gun to their head making them push this figure out now instead of pushing the release date back to make sure it’s right? And I’m not hating, I’m voicing my opinion like everybody else , we all want these figures, but when you get something that’s not right or it’s got something wrong, you ain’t excited nor want it. People voicing their opinions do it so they’ll see it and hopefully get better in time. If we get in here and never complain , bevsyse most of all complaints are deleted or never seen, then this is why we keep getting half assed product. And again, I’m not hating on Mattel or whatever, I just want something worth buying, and majority of the same posts I see are the same.
