They were mentioned here where the opposite was stated: that teenymates resembled ooshies.

Now I'm wondering if the OP started this to get people to that auction (his auction?)... Seemed like a crazy bidding war, certainly ended far above value: half seems about right as value. Where are you getting that it’s only worth half of that. The only other one that I’ve ever seen sell was MIB and went for about $375 but that was eight years ago and that was cheap due to the auction not having the highest visibility and nobody even being sure what they were bidding on as it was the first time we learned of its existence. I say all of that to say that I wouldn’t be surprised if the demand has increased so much in the past eight years, that it would warrant that kind of sale price. With these ultra rare/practically one of a kind items, the value is always based on what someone is willing to pay. True, value is based on what someone is willing to pay. That being said I think what this went for is a correct price for a MIB example, not a loose one.

Dedicated fan right there! I’m meeting Janetty in July for the Ohio Toy and Comic Show! I’m so excited. I don’t think I owned any rare AWA figures. I’m still regretting selling the ring, cage and 20 plus figures. Oddly enough, it ended right back at the same store I bought it. Marty is really nice and surprisingly very appreciative of his fans....but Ill tell you you're gonna be surprised at just how tiny he is. He's listed at 5'11'' but Im betting hes closer to 5'8'' Well, Shawn Michaels ain't 6'1" either...

Well, I didn't know the AWA figures existed until 1998; when I first saw them on a site called AFACT. My first thought was: how could LJNs sell, when these existed?
Anyway, even in 1998 these Remco AWA figs were kind of expensive. It must've been 2000 when I finally owned loose Remco AWA figs: The Fabulous Ones.
As a Marty Jannetty fan, I desperately needed his figure! So I even settled for a Jannetty with repro-shirt in 2001. That year I also ended up with two 12-pack Mini-Mashers, so in 2001 I owned all Marty Jannetty figures in existance. In 2012 I bought a Jannetty with original shirt and sold the one with repro-shirt.
Now in 2019 I own:
Loose ----- Larry Zbyszko Ric Flair Jumpin' Jim Brunzel The Fabulous Ones The Road Warriors Paul Ellering Marty Jannetty (minus the shades) referee Dick Woehrle
MOC --- 12-Pack Mini Mashers Thumbsters: Gagne vs Hawk Flair vs Zbyszko

Hogan's belts had a black strap and silver & gold plate, Tag titles had a brown strap and silver plate.
The gold on the plate can turn greenish over time.

Congrats! I’ve no idea who any of the stars are as I have no familiarity with that product. So I can’t appreciate the rarity/achievement the way it deserves, but I love the packaging, the collection looks awesome. You should know Psicosis (top row, third from the left) La Parka (directly under Psicosis) and Konnan (next to Parka). Not to mention Rey Misterio Jr. (top row, 1st).

I'm still baffled on how kids get presents for Easter. A basket with candy, sure, But presents? While I didn't get wrestling figs for Easter (heck, I didn't really know wrestling before 1985), I did get toys for Easter in the early '80s.

These are just weird, not sure who they were aimed at. I'd say kids, but judging from the youtube videos kids don't know they have to throw them... As a kid in the '70s and '80s we had similar window crawlers, we threw them at windows and watch them crawl down to see which one would be first.
