It's a waste of time like it always is when they try and do this and within a few months none of the draft changes will matter.
I have never understood the appeal of the WWE Draft.

As an ECW fan, I popped big time for this!
Truly one of the best debuts of all time, it was so much fun and he looked like a total badass. With him going over Kurt Angle, they clearly thought highly of him and had big plans. I have always felt that Vince was like a kid with new toys, sure he had Taz and he was all in on him, but just a shortwhile later, he gets four more new toys and he liked some of those ones even better! Plus, his first big feud was with JR and the King so it really was all downhill after that epic debut.
The real nail in the Taz coffin for me was when Austin called him short and fat. No coming back after that.

I get that making something like a funeral parlour or brother love show set may be a no for. However, a cardboard stand or backdrop of them would be a nice bonus.

Here in the UK when the X-Men animated series started in the early 90s it was shown as part of the DJ Kat Show on Sky and I was in on it from the start. I already knew who the X-Men were thanks to my dad being a huge comic book fan when he was a kid and this was a show that he would watch with me before he went to work on a morning. Anyway, X-Men 97 is so good, it more than lives up to what came before it and it makes me wonder how Disney/Marvel can top this when they do their live action X-Men! Also, I have been clearing out my attic and I came across this little gem, It is not worth anything, but it is awesome to have and it is in mint condition, it is just the bag that is kind of gross. I am donating most of my comic books and graphic novels to my sons old primary school and also giving some to the school where my wife works, but some like this one I am keeping.

Both Backlash 99 and 00 were way better than their prior WrestleManias. Backlash always had a cool set design as well.
Also, I hate and I mean hate the name, WrestleMania Backlash!

AEW is such an interesting wrestling show! By that I mean there are so many things on the show that I like and find entertaining, but there is other stuff that is a real turn off and for that moment I think "maybe this has jumped the shark and it is not for me" but then a segment later they have me back. As long as there is more stuff that I like than I do not like, I will keep on watching.
I also have to say that this is the most into the Bucks I have been since I started watching AEW and while the way Tony went down was Linda McMahon levels of bad, I am intrigued to see where this all goes and who is going to be the squad to stand up to these guys.
Also, I know I am in the minority here, but the New Japan stuff does nothing for me at all, apart from Takecrapa, none of the guys have clicked with me and I think that he has because I feel like they have actually developed his character a bit and not just demanded I know who he is if that makes sense.

I agree with Randy Savage, another guy who always brought it and could have a good match with pretty much anyone. I loved that weird clothesline that he would do almost like a flying clothesline, but he would land on his butt instead of flying forward through the air.

I thought that this would be fun to discuss.
Pick your favorites from the 80s and 90s that you feel when you watch it their matches, promos, look or whatever still holds up to this day.
I will start with Bret Hart
I will always say that Shawn Michaels is my all time favorite, but Bret Hart's stuff I feel has aged better. He was able to have a good match with anyone, no matter what their size was and while HBK may have been more flashy. Bret was always able to get other people over as well as getting himself over better than HBK did.
Bret's punches and kicks are second to none for me, it makes me cringe when I see some of the kicks, punches and stomps that modern wrestlers do. Bret/s stuff always looked like it connected at full force, yet from what other wrestlers have said, he was one of the safest guys to be in the ring with. You can watch a compilation of Bret Hart matches and just enjoy the action from bell to bell.
Bret was also a far better promo than people give him credit for. His heel stuff in 97 is fantastic and I think that had he been able to stick around into the Attitude Era for a few years, he would have been an even better heel! However, even when he was a face, his promos may not have blown people away, but you always believed that Bret believed what he was saying. He came across as a real guy and not a character.
So there you go, I feel that Bret Hart's work has aged the best out of all the guys from the 80s and 90s, but I would love to hear your thoughts on who you would pick or if you would pick Bret like I did.

Fun tape I love the art work on that tape! In my big attic clear out of 2024, I am finally getting rid of the three boxes of WWF tapes I have. I am keeping the artwork and ditching the boxes and tapes. I am going to try and iron them to make the art work flat and then put them all in a binder. Here in the UK our tapes are not like the USA, ours come in a plastic clamshell box with artwork inside it, like a Sega Mega Drive/Genesis box. I am keeping five tapes to have on display, but that is it. Before people start freaking out, most of these tapes have very bad tape rot or I would have tried to pass them on to someone that would appreciate them. Two of the tapes I am keeping, Best of Saturday Nights Main Event and Royal Rumble do also have tape rot, but the other three Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hitman Hart and Smack em Whack em do not

Can anyone in the UK who ordered the ring let me know how much it was including shipping?

I always had a thing for the bad guys as well. I loved Mr. Perfect and Rick Rude as a kid in a I love to hate them kind of way if that makes sense. They were bad guys, but I recognized just how good they were. Mr. Perfecet was a guy that I just could not get behind when he turned face.
Face managers could not do any less for me! A manager has to be a sneaky heel, I loved Mr. Fuji and all the shenanigans he would get up to. The Rockers vs Orient Express at the 91 Rumble is one of my favorite matches of all time and Fuji screwing around and causing trouble is a major part of that.
I never saw Sgt Slaughter's initial run when he was a face, but I thought he was great as a heel. I hated and I mean hated Sgt. Slaughter and that is meant in the most complimentary way possible. He was so good at being a heel during that short run, I loved watching wrestling with my grandfather as a kid and he always got such a kick out of Sgt. Slaughter, especially the whole Immortal Slime and Ultimate Puke thing that he would do. Like Mr. Perfect, when Sarge did turn face, I could not get behind him at all as I just saw him as a bad guy.

I am back with another update that no one asked for I went crazy over weekend and I put a whole bunch of stuff up on eBay, mostly video game stuff. I had some pretty heavy hitters in my attic such as boxed copies of stuff like Silent Hill, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, Dino Crisis and some pricey stuff for the Wii U. I also for some reason found not 1, not 2, not 3, but 11 yes 11 Sega Mega Drive/Genesis controllers, 7 SNES controllers, 6 NES controllers. 14 (no typo by the way) Xbox 360 controllers and more. Why I was hoarding video game controllers is beyond me, but I am going to keep a few for each system and get rid of the rest. I am still not any closer on my Hasbro stuff, but when my attic is cleared, I am 100 percent going to have the original series one 12 up on display and then I will take it from there. I think I am getting to a point where I can see myself selling some of the figures. There are many that I liked as a kid, but do not have any sentimental attachment to. For example, off the top of my head, Duggan 2, Bushwhackers 2, Nailz, Boss Man 2, Bret Hart 2, Mr. Perfect 2. I am sure there are others, but these are the ones of the top of my head. I know Bret Hart 2 is a better figure than the first, but it was the first I played with a ton as a kid, not the second release, same with Mr. Perfect. I dug out my Thundercats collection and put it up on eBay and made a deal with a dude locally and it is all gone. It felt great to get rid of that to be honest with you. I liked Thundercats as a kid, but why I went all in buying stuff for it I do not know. This was never something I went into with making money in mind, but already, from the games and toys I have sold, I have made a decent chunk and anything I make is going to go towards a trip to Disneyland Paris we are taking later this year so that is cool. I have said it before, but if you are in a situation like I was where your collection was starting to overwhelm you, start by selling just one thing, one thing that you know for a fact you are not attached to and you may be surprised at how it opens the floodgates for you. I am still a collector and over the last few weeks, I have added a few Turtles and even a Star Wars figure to my collection. However, if when I see something in the store or online I cannot think of a place to display it, I can appreciate it in the store and then move on.

The Whole F'N Show!
I was and still am a huge RVD fan. My dad got me ECW bootleg tapes off a guy he knew from the pub in the 90s and RVD was one of my favorites. His short run as Mr. Monday Night was amazing and he was by a mile the highlight of the Invasion. I still think to this day that they should have put the belt on him at No Mercy 2001, even if it was just for a few weeks or even if Austin took it back the next night. in 2001, RVD could have broken out as a main event guy, he was so over.
I am just doing my top five, but they are,
RVD vs Jeff Hardy: Invasion 2001 (I actually liked the Invasion and this was my favorite match from it) RVD vs Jerry Lynn: Living Dangerously 1999 (these guys always delivered) RVD & Sabu vs The Eliminators: Cyberslam 97 (I loved RVD and Sabu together) RVD vs John Cena: One Night Stand (what a match and what a moment!) RVD vs Steve Austin vs Kurt Angle: No Mercy 2001 (RVD should have got the title here, but this is one damn underrated triple threat match)
I just love RVD, plus he is an action figure guy and he always comes across as an absolute genuine dude who is super likable.

What ever happened to The Bunny? She was freaking nuts and so much fun and the horror stuff she posts on Instagram shows a ton of personality. Did she leave or was she let go? Unconfirmed but the rumor I heard was she essentially retired due to some injuries that just weren't healing. That's a shame, she is super likable and had an "it" factor about her.
