"Hell, I remember breaking my neck and goin-" 'Yeah, well, I wrestled with a broken leg at age 13 during a blizzard on Christmas. ' "That's great, but I'm just trying to give you some advice right now." 'Advice? I'm a TWO TIME Divas Champion!!!' "Alls I'm saying kid is that you're out there calling spots a little lo-" 'THIS IS MY HOUSE!'
I don't have high hopes for this last minute replacement job.

Comedy Rusev is hilarious. His in-ring stuff has always been fine, but now that they're letting him show some personality outside of the tired old anti-USA shtick he's been infinitely more entertaining. I love watching his segments, even though they've been saddled with Dolph Ziggler's terrible jokes and Summer Rae's horrendous...everything.

I give you a lot of props for having patience to still play MUT. I had 99 overall Pat Pete, Sherman and Vontae Davis and was routinely getting skyed over by jabroni wide receivers just because they were tall and I couldn't trigger an animation. Couldn't deal with that BS.
Congrats on the family success though! Seem like a great dad.

They would be celebrated as midcarders and then swiftly turned on if they ever won the title. People are weird like that.
SHAWN ONLY HAS FIVE MOVES AND HIS OVERSELLING TAKES AWAY FROM THE MATCH.
BRET CAN'T CUT A PROMO. I'M TIRED OF HIS STALE CHARACTER BEING SHOVED DOWN MY THROAT.

I don't think he works for them, but he most likely has some sort of connection with somebody working there because he's been a superfan for so long. Recently he's been sitting in the friends and family section on the same side as the hard camera. I've had those same seats before, and I got them directly from a superstar. So not a plant, he just has a hookup.

I went to RAW there in October. I was front row, F2 Row 1, Seat 3 & 4. We sat right in front of the steps. I still have the Barclay's guest gide which comes with a map, too. It says seats 12-16 are more toward the announcers table. Lowered numbered seats are closer to the ramp.

I used to use a program called SharePod to get music off and onto my iPod without iTunes, but that was waaaaay back in the day. It might still be around, haven't really looked.

Paige seems like the type of person who has never been told "no" in her life because she's a pretty girl and as a result has turned into a hideously unlikeable person with terrible manners, a massive ego, and a constant need for attention.
If a young, unproven guy with B-minus wrestling skills was acting like this, would anybody give them a pass?

RAAAAAAIIIIINMAAAAKAAAAAH!!
I love both of these guys, but this won't work. I would love mainstream fans to one day accept guys from Japan as anything except a token foreigner, but right now I can't see it. Just imagining a guy the level of Nakamura getting the "WHAT?" treatment makes my blood boil.

Muta is my favorite wrestler of all time, but at this point he's just too old and beat-up to have any real in-ring role in WWE. North American fans aren't familiar with him, so you wouldn't get the same nostalgia factor as Sting.
As for whether or not WWE fans would have bought his act if he did show up, that depends. The Muta character doesn't have to talk much so the language barrier wouldn't be a problem like it has been for Itami. If the commentators made him out to be a big deal, then sure he could get over. Jim Ross would make you believe Muta is a monster. If he came out with the three buffoons they have today and they're still talking about an inside joke from three segments ago, absolutely not.

He's really good in the ring. Kinda meh with a microphone. The fake laugh gets old. Still, a very entertaining guy to watch. Thumbs up from me.
Sidebar: Dean Ambrose sells??? If I ran over his leg with a car right now he would hit the ropes at full sprint and give me the Nigel lariat.

I think he's trash, and I always will. So why even open this thread? If nobody can say anything to change your mind, why reply to them? Do you expect others to consider your opinion when you won't do the same? Here's a thought experiment for you, though, my friend. If everybody in the arena, even the anti-Cena fans, and everybody on this board, even the self-described anti-Cena fans, were all "fooled by all the kickouts" but thought the match was awesome, were they actually fooled at all? The goal of any match is to get a strong reaction. We all watched it and thought it was great, kickouts and all. A lot of us watch Attitude Era WWF, WCW, Lucha Underground, independent wrestling and/or NJPW which have less kickouts and we like that, too. There isn't a one-size-fits-all recipe for a great match. They can come with or without kickouts! I have no idea what your beef is besides clinging to the vintage Cena Sux gimmick that was all the rage circa 2010. 10/10 would get trolled again tho

MINUS. FIVE. STARS.

I understand why people don't like his character, but trying to deny his talent as a wrestler at this point is laughable. For instance, if we made a list of the best (WWE) matches of the last few years, on that list would probably be:
Cena vs. Punk (MITB) Cena vs. Punk (RAW) Cena vs. Rock (pick one) Cena vs. Bryan Cena vs. Cesaro on RAW (twice) Cena vs. Brock vs. Rollins Cena vs. Owens I Cena vs. Owens II
and a whole bunch of other matches, like everything from his US title run, in the honorable mention column. And on top of that he cuts consistently good promos and gets a huge reaction from crowds that are dead silent the rest of the night.

Edit.. Not that neck issues aren't serious or anything. Just WWE currently has former talents suing them claiming they had to work after concussions. And there's your answer. There's only one logical reason why WWE hasn't come out and really said what his injury is. Bryan was rushed back into the ring way too early, either by WWE or on his own volition, and somewhere during that period he must have had a concussion situation. I'm assuming he didn't think it was serious, because history has shown that most pro athletes underestimate the effects of head trauma, and in his mind he wanted to keep working. And if somehow he worked dates by hiding his symptoms then WWE would look terrible so they can't just come out and say he's dealing with concussions.

I mean, not everybody is gonna be a world champion. That's just a harsh reality. For every one Steve Austin on the roster, there have to be a lot more Billy Gunns and Kanes around holding things together.
His feud with Orton more or less showed us what his ceiling is. Very good in the ring, but just not inherently charismatic enough to carry an angle by himself. As for "character development," does WWE even do that anymore? Pretty sure they just give guys nicknames and no motivation. Kofi doesn't really have a story, but who does?

I love NXT to death but there are too many one-sided squash matches and the crowd has become too much of a good thing. They try way too hard to put themselves over and in certain spots the wall-to-wall chants can really take away from a given match or promo. There's a time and a place for everything.

It seems like she was getting cheered simply because she was hot, and to the people making decisions that was reason enough to turn her. Problem is, they don't seem to have anything for her now that she's a face. And her and Rusev are together in real life so this probably won't end well.
I think I would have preferred them have her acknowledge the cheers, but then insult the fans by saying Americans are simple minded and easily distracted, or something along those lines. Stephanie is a master at counterattacking the crowd like that.
