This is a really good point. Maybe that will make it feel less daunting, especially as they move towards making them clearly separate brands. I still think they should just kill SmackDown and revive WCW and make them two REALLY distinct shows, but that will probably never happen. Either way balancing for some and feelings of over-saturation (even my favorite shows I have to take a break from once in a while) make a lot of sense. I think what it really comes down to is the point Triple S made which hits the nail on the head. If the storytelling was better no one would be upset. The thing about bringing shows back is that its not the same. WCW isn't WCW without Goldberg, Sting, Hall, Nash, Booker, DDP etc it D literally be SmackDown live presents: WCW just like the ECWWE failure they tried to replicate something they had no hand in making the first time around and obviously failed quitr badly. Can agree with that, to an extent. They can do the same wave and handshake nonsense they do with their performers on a regular basis on the flagship show but make it dedicated to WCW legends. I'm thinking more in terms of camera style, layout, etc. I think there's enough there (especially with the current state of the world and it's love for nostalgia) that if they had done this maybe 4 or 5 years ago they could have approached it that way, but I think it's too late now! ECWWE was a 'failure' because all it utilized from the original content was the three letters until it was transformed due to the need for developmental. Just the way it goes around there.

The long runtimes have ruined WrestleMania. So why not ruin the rest of the shows... I can't even fathom how parents deal with this kind of crap. Your kid likes WWE but you live on the East Coast. How many parents are letting them stay up until 11:15pm to watch Raw? How many parents are letting their kid watch 5 hours of wrestling until midnight on a Sunday? How many kids have the tension span to even survive that marathon? If the product was good, I agree this would be an easier pill to swallow. But it's not. The shows are mostly painful and I have no idea how people can watch them without DVR. Let's not even get into the pain and suffering that occurs during a live event for these marathon shows. You can have too much of a good thing. It's called the law of diminishing returns. It's econ 101. You can also have too much of a mediocre thing that's only moderately entertaining on most days... Part of how the brand survives is the fact that people regularly tune in and are on the hook with certain storylines, thinking they are going to turn out better than they actually do. I went through this from 2010 til about 2013 (probably the last time i was a regular viewer) thinking each and every week something with Christian would give him the due he deserved. In the meantime he's an old pro and Sheamus is good so it ended with some awesome matches and I just kind of stopped caring what would happen/what he would be involved with/whether or not people would look at him as a top shelf star and while it was entertaining that kind of lost me as an overall fan. So I think they tend to survive on mediocrity because week after week, people tune in expecting it to get better or for something more original to go down and something that isn't just so terribly 'by the numbers' (new up and comer, mid-card, clap your hands at their retirement, rinse and repeat) that we could be suddenly watching something different. They think the things like the 'Shake Up' (Vince has been using this term on TV for years even before it was a thing so it's clear there isn't much expanded thought that goes into it) are going to appeal to people but no one is behind anyone enough to care. Sure there are fans of new wrestlers/characters but clearly not enough to bring in new viewers/a wider fanbase. When people stop being tricked into thinking something different will happen, all that will be left are the people that don't care (pretty much where it's at now) and I can't see that fanbase growing much unless something completely off the wall and original that is actually good happens. Otherwise people should really just be turning their tv's off instead of DVRing.

People saying 4 hours is too much, when we were getting 2 3 hour PPVs a month, simple maths. we're getting less than we did last year. Chill.... This is a really good point. I still think they should just kill SmackDown and revive WCW and make them two REALLY distinct shows, but that will probably never happen. Just out of curiosity, anyone here...do other things? I feel like it's taboo to sometimes talk about what you like aside from wrestling when amongst wrestling fans (especially amongst WWE hardcore fans, even some wrestlers and employees that I've seen and known) so it's challenging to really be open about how much is too much.
But for me, this pretty much looks like it would set up a hardcore WWE fan to do pretty much nothing else with their time and to fully indulge? Not so bad for them, extremely challenging for the rest of us.
I'm curious to find out who balances their time and in what way with where the product currently stands (which for me is already way too involved so I am mostly disconnected).

Question for the Figuarts owners.
I picked up the Last Jedi Luke and am awaiting delivery. However I've noticed on ebay there are clearly a bunch of junky versions of these figures produced in China vs. the actual, official Figuarts releases.
Where do you guys get your Figuarts figures from? Also, any way to tell (other than the obvious detail of price) as to which ones are the real ones?
I picked up one of the China bootleg prints of ROTJ Luke just out of curiosity because it was so cheap. The coloration/paint job was off on a few things which I expected but the packaging looked very similar to what it seems like the packaging of the official releases look like.
Basically I don't want to spend 80 bucks on these, stateside, and have them not be legit. Any thoughts on this?

Ok so I trained myself to make me hear either name that I want. I have to do it right at the beginning though, if I don't get it to say the name that I try for the very first time I can't do it if repeated right away. I have to pause and wait for a few seconds. Think of it not like the color dress thing, but more like the 3D box we have all drawn at some point and how you can see it one way or the other. You can kind of train and force yourself to see it either way, same goes with the sound clip. How long did that take you to do Jack?!? Time well spent! I hear Laurel in all cases but can 'slightly' hear Yanny for the most part. I heard 'Yanny' with pretty heavy strength I think only one time. So my real question becomes how terrible does this mean the hearing that I have is?

If you look at the clip on WWE’s YouTube, they edited out that entire part. It ends with him doing the big boot. Of course WWE cuts the match’s segements but they ALWAYS show the ending. I think this speaks volumes because it's for sure not the first time they've done something like that!

While I think Cass is a giant waste of time and energy, I think this sounds entirely made up. Seems like it's from the Meltzer playbook of molding an explanation around a series of events we saw happen on TV. Even if this were true, Cass' only mistake was asking for permission instead of forgiveness. I have zero issue with guys fighting for more but if they tell you no, twice, you can't turn around and go do what you want. Go do what you want and play dumb and apologize afterwards. The shows are ing awful right now. They need wrestlers actively looking for ways to improve the angles. You can't let the inmates run the asylum, but you also don't want guys who are afraid to become stars. Seems pretty simple that they want him to hit the boot, stand firm and not waste his time exerting more energy. After watching the segment his 'grabbing the brass ring' by beating up on a little guy doesn't add heat, it just looks stupid. Would he do it to someone of standard size? Maybe. Far be it from me to criticize a wrestler for in ring work/improvisation but when a simple segment has simple directions (especially on SmackDown which no one is watching) why not just follow them? Grab your brass ring at a more sensible time. You can't make those decisions unless you're thinking smart and clearly on that stage it takes time until you're trusted to think smart. Making a decision like that doesn't help the case so it wouldn't surprise me if there is truth to the news.

Beer Money Inc. is one of the best things TNA ever came through with and it's a shame we'll never see that team again

Anybody ever find out more info as to why the 1/6 scale license for the movie turtles doesn't belong to anyone? Is it really just Playmates with the stranglehold on them? Have they ever spoken about it publicly? I think they said that it's contractual. Playmates has the rights to TMNT in 6 inch scale at retail. Any 6 inch figures made by other companies needs to be an online only/convention exclusive. It can't be a mass retail distribution. As much as I would be interested in 6 inch scale movie figures....after having the 1/4 NECA ones for a while now....I don't think that much detail could be squeezed into the smaller scale. The shading on the skin, the detail on the eyes, the shell....even something like the yellowing and dirt on the finger and toe nails....It's just not going to be as impressive. I'd probably still buy 6 inch movie figures....but the 1/4 scale NECA ones are my holy grail of TMNT. If they go ahead with the planned movie Shredder, I'll get that in a heartbeat as well. I hear you on that. Honestly even with the lost detail if they're anything close to what NECA puts out for 6 inch scale they would basically be my dream toys. Don't get me wrong I love the 1/4 scale because we have them and they're amazing but I'd gladly flip those to someone who wants them more for a 6 inch scale. We could both get our holy grails then . I'm right there with you, though. NECA wrote on instagram that we should see Shredder at SDCC...so maybe by the end of the year? I'll definitely get him. - Tom

Just traded in my Wii U and an old 360 to get a Switch but it basically went right in the closet because 1. I don't have time and 2. I really only got it for Smash!
That aside I might get Tropical Freeze and will definitely get Mega Man 11. Anything you all think of as must haves that don't take 150 hours like Zelda? No way I'll ever be able to play one of those games again.

Get the upcoming Mega Drive mini: Article from Verge: www.theverge.com/2018/4/14/17238144/sega-mega-drive-mini-anniversary-nintendo-switchSega is getting in on the nostalgic, miniature console trend. Yesterday at Sega Fes 2018, It announced that it will release the the Mega Drive Mini, a miniature version of the Mega Drive, sometime in 2018. The company also announced that it would be bringing a number of classic games to the Nintendo Switch this summer. Sega says that the tentatively-named Mega Drive Mini is being released in conjunction with the console’s 30th anniversary, and that it will carry a number of classic games. The company has dabbled with retro hardware before: it has licensed its name to hardware company AtGames (which has also done retro Atari consoles) to produce Genesis clones, including the Sega Genesis Flashback that Polygon wasn’t a huge fan of. On Facebook, AtGames revealed that the forthcoming Mega Drive Mini will be powered by its hardware. The device looks like it’s following in the same vein as Ninendo’s wildly popular NES Classic and SNES Classic devices, which allowed gamers to play a variety of pre-loaded games. The game will be available in Japan, at least to start, according to Polygon. There’s no word on what games will be available for the device. Sega released the original Mega Drive in Japan on October 29th, 1988, and in North America on August 14th, 1989, ultimately selling more than 30 million devices worldwide. The company also recently licensed out a selection of its classic games for iOS and Android phones. Switch owners will now be able to play as well: Sega also announced that at least 15 games, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star, and Thunder Force 4, will be released later this summer. Thank the lord. If this has the same technical capabilities as the NES and SNES, my dream of having the three mini-consoles loaded with every game I ever wanted from back then will be complete. Hoping this leads to a proper Genesis console release for us.

I am actually not an X fan and way more a classic Mega Man fan (can't wait for 11). I'd agree with everyone else here in that if that's how you picture him they probably aren't necessary for you. But 2 is in my top 10 list for favorite games ever and I also really like 3 and 6.
Depends on what you're in the mood for!
The new ones that came out I don't think carried as much weight as the old ones but were still fun.
