Got my dispatch email from Amazon today. So hyped, cannot wait! I also find it funny that they've gone for Royal Mail as the carrier, rather than Amazon Logistics. Even Amazon knows they shouldn't trust their own carrier.

I had no idea he even worked for WWE. I couldn't name anyone in that pic without searching for them. Even then, I don't care. Thats a shame, wrestling is more than just WWE. But WWE is the one and only titan in the wrestling world. It's okay for fans to stick to one particular area, if they're content to be interested in just that area.

On RAW, Cole and Graves mentioned a number of times "this is Shield 2.0". With that in mind, I really don't think they should go back to their original look. I think they should all have a brand new, unified look, to really hammer home the point that it's version two.
Even with that in mind, I liked a suggestion earlier in this thread that someone had of Ambrose and Rollins adopting Reigns' attire, but with their individual character logos on the front where Reigns has his. This could also work, because if you look at Roman's current gear, you could make a strong point that it's version two of the original Shield SWAT team gear.

While I'm a fan of the brand warfare, I don't think Bragging Rights would be necessary as long as we have Survivor Series.

I didn't see it as a fully fledged turn from Sami, if so he could have just came down any point in the match and attacked Shane. I saw it more as he saw someone he has a long history with about to be severely hurt, and although they are rivals he kinda remembered his friendship with KO and saved him. But then Sami went one step further and dragged Owens onto Shane to make the pinfall. He definitely wanted Owens to win.

As long as the next challenger finally puts the failed Jinder experiment to an end, I'm all for it and I don't really care who.

I don't know, but I do know that I cannot wait to see where Sami Zayn goes from this! It was such a shockingly wonderful twist to see last night. Sure, he's a natural face, but they've done nothing with him as a face. So any role that makes them actually use him is better than the alternative.

To be honest, I was massively underwhelmed with he first DVD. The lack of commentary is what did it for me. Same. I got to the point where I just gave up on it. It's the wrestling equivalent of watching a silent film. Okay for historical value, but not for entertainment purposes. Even so, definitely enjoyed the Ultimate Warrior matches regardless. If there are any more lying around they've yet to release, I'd definitely want them on a hypothetical second release. Particularly any from 1996.

As shown in the gameplay above, in a regular singles match if a superstar is knocked down near the ropes, they'll crawl underneath the bottom rope and groggily stand themselves up on the apron. That's so awesome! I really don't understand why they haven't highlighted little things like this.

Panicked there, before reading the fantastic news that this does not affect the UK Blu-Rays at all, which I find rather odd. The NXT: Secret to Sensation Blu-Ray is one release I am really excited for. If they cancelled the Blu-Ray, I would not order on DVD, because standard definition is simply not good enough anymore. Which is why it makes so disheartening that they continue to cut back every year. There are so many releases I would have purchased, had they released on Blu-Ray. But DVD only? No chance.

I'm just going to do one Universe save, basically including all of the game's roster that I like. At this point I'm unsure if I want to adapt my 2K17 Universe roster, or just make a completely different one, bearing in mind that the majority of the roster will be locked to start with (I don't want to use the Accelerator). The new goals feature will make it much easier to dictate the story of each individual superstar.
At this point my goal is simply to make it through an entire Universe year. I've never been able to do that before. The closest I got with 2K17 was October. The new changes should make it much easier to stay interested.
I know it's not strictly Universe mode, but as soon as WWE 2K18 comes down in a Steam sale, I'll buy it and move my YouTube CAW league onto it. Not technically Universe (as I use standard play to produce it), but it's running my own federation, which is essentially what Universe mode is supposed to be, so I thought I'd mention it also.

I do have a CAW that I created years ago to use for my YouTube CAW league, and I'd be happy to contribute him towards this. However, due to timezone differences (I'm in the UK), and a lack of free time, I doubt I'd be able to watch the streams on a regular basis. It would just be whenever I have free time and you're streaming. Would that be a problem? Also I'd be creating him on PS4. What system do you plan to do this on? Had no idea you were an affiliated streamer though. That's pretty cool. I'm on the Xbox One. But if you could PM me the recipe like they do in the stickied thread, I can copy it and make any changes needed considering they change little nuances every year in CAWs. I know people have weird schedules/different time zones/lives so I'm not expecting people to be there on Twitch all the time talking every week. Just figured it'd be a fun idea, get as many people involved as possible. So no, no problem at all. If anything, I may lock this once I get enough sign-ups and make a dedicated thread for post stream discussion and ish. Sort of mix fantasy booking with a Twitch simulation stream. Alright, sounds great, I'm in! I'll PM you a download link for the formula for my CAW (Andrew Hunter) as soon as I update it for 2K18.

At this point (it's linked to play at this specific part) in DenkOps' MyCareer video, we get a look at the new squash match feature that was mentioned in the Universe mode article Wow, that's so awesome. When they mentioned squash matches before, I honestly did not think it was an actual feature. I thought they were referring to the fact that if you book a 1v1 match of a high overall superstar vs a much lower overall superstar, it's expected for the higher overall superstar to win. The fact that they've turned it into an actual feature is so awesome, and I can't wait to use it in Universe mode. Who doesn't love a good squash match?

While I wait for the release of three highly anticipated games within the next 2 weeks (Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, WWE 2K18, & Age of Empires: Definitive Edition), I decided to finally give Halo Wars a playthrough, which has been sat untouched in my Steam library for months. Quite enjoying it so far. It's one of those games I always meant to play, but never got round to. I even bought it pre-owned on Xbox 360 once, but never touched it. Apparently the game's campaign only lasts 15 missions, and I'm already on mission 6/15 after only a couple of hours, so I don't expect this to last more than a couple of days.
Still, once I'm done with Halo Wars, I can move onto Halo Wars 2. And then that should hopefully last long enough till the release of Middle-Earth: Shadow of War on Tuesday.

Like it or not, Warrior was a wrestling icon who was shunned by WWE for far too long. I personally think it's great that the character has not only been acknowledged, but it's being used to promote great causes. Warrior, the person, was known for having an incredibly strong will. I think that is exactly why Warrior was chosen as the symbol to promote these charities. They're not promoting Warrior's negative beliefs, they're promoting his strong will.
I'll be honest, I'd never read half of those quotes you say he said before. Please don't think I'm calling you a liar, or requesting that you provide evidence. I'm simply stating that if Warrior did actually say any of those things, I was unaware of it.
If I'm going to be 100% honest, I'll readily admit that I am biased when it comes to the Ultimate Warrior. My personal experience meeting him was so great and so memorable, that I find it impossible to focus on any negative thing he said. I just know that no matter what his beliefs were, he was kind and pleasant to his fans. And when it comes to celebrities, that's all you can ask for. You don't necessarily have to agree with their views (if he really was a racist, homophobic, right-wing bigot, then I cannot agree with any of those things at all).
Speaking of Bobby Heenan, this is the point I really have to take objection to. In the Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior DVD, Bobby Heenan came across as an incredibly petty, jealous, bitter man trying desperately to be funny while making outright lies (Heenan's comments that nobody in the locker room liked Warrior was contradicted by Warrior's comments in his HOF speech, and Warrior's WWE published biography). I am not justifying Warrior mocking Heenan for cancer in the slightest, because that's sick and too far no matter which way you spin it. I'm just saying that you can't pretend it was a one-sided rivalry. Both Warrior and Heenan had very vicious words to say about each other.
So in conclusion, no, I don't find it offensive.

Fantastic to see hot tags make a return to the series. I'm positive they were taken out of the series a few games ago. Or have I just never been able to activate them?

Got my tickets for RAW from Ticketmaster today. Entirely unexpected. I thought they weren't supposed to arrive until 10 days before the show?

Sami Zayn's new entrance has the crowd singing along to his theme! Yes! That was one of the things I hoped would happen, and now it has. His new entrance motion is pretty nice too, even though it's a real shame his stage pose isn't timed correctly with the "Let's go!" part of his theme.
Unfortunately after looking up John Cena's entrance, it doesn't have the "John Cena sucks!" chants added to it. That's a shame.

This shows the goals in Universe mode Thank you so much for posting. After feeling majorly let down by some of the footage and info released today, I'm so hyped to play Universe mode now! Releasing an article is all very well, but actually watching it in action is something else entirely. The new Goal feature looks as expansive as it should have been. My major gripe with 2K17's Universe was that rivalries just didn't work properly, and just weren't anywhere near as expansive as I felt they should have been. There just seemed no way to give a superstar a specific objective. Now there is, and you can give every individual a different purpose, which is just so awesome and a much needed feature. It all looks and sounds brilliant fun to play. Hold on, is that a brand new crawl to tag animation at 18:46?! That's such an awesome feature! I'm positive that's brand new. Also, I just came across a video that shows off a previously unheard of new feature in 2K18. Apparently if you use Demon Finn Balor or Goldust, their paint gradually breaks up as the match goes on!
