Nothing... and the SteveHulk means NOTHING will ever top that year we had Hogan, Razor and Sting in the line for the first time... plus 1st time for guys like Doink, X-pac, JYD, Earthquake etc too. I think it was 2015(?).

Personally, I really like what they're doing with the line - they seem to be releasing figures that pay homage to the original LJN ones, while not being exact copies/reproductions. I didn't want Terry Funk in green chaps or Roddy Piper in red trunks... I'd rather have their more well-known looks. Basically, as long as the attire is from the '84-'89 LJN period, that's fine by me.

I can't believe some people are complaining about Hogan getting so many figures... Mattel only got the rights back to him again a few years ago - he hasn't been a constant in the line for 12 years like Warrior, Macho, Rock, Stone Cold, Undertaker, Shawn etc. They're just making up for lost time and pumping out as many different versions of him while they can.
Not to mention, 2024 is the 40th anniversary of Hulkamania (and the small fact that he's still the biggest name in the history of the business...).

Aren't there like 7 faces of Foley though? Cactus, two Mankinds since the early and later versions are so different, Dude, Commish, GM, and the regular Foley stripped of all gimmicks. And don't get me started on Santa Foley... I think there are just 4 faces - Cactus, Mankind, Dude, and Foley (as himself)... Mankind had 3 major looks, Cactus had a couple, and Mick had around 3, but they're all "variations on a theme", rather than new/different personas. |

Thankfully, there are over a dozen Macho Man elites, and two ultimates already. There are multiple Ric Flair elites. The Road Warriors/LOD and Demolition have been made. It's not the end of the world. 👆 (In fact, there are 3 Macho UEs, counting the New Gen arena one. And 3 different versions of the Road Warriors/LOD too...) |

Disappointments for me were no UE Steiners, the UE Kurt and the UE20 line-up (another Bray and Roman and no Legend).
Buuuut the DX Retros, UE Yoko, UE Mankind, UE MNW Piper, and the Hogan and Foley 3-packs were all huge wants of mine. So B+.

I have finally caught up with all things SDCC. Here are my thoughts: Now I having seen the panel and preview night info, I can’t help but feel a little like there is something missing. Like there is more to come. For example where is Imperium? Pretty Deadly? Steiner Brothers? However, that said I am glad to see some of the stuff that was shown. Am super excited we are getting Ultimate Asuka with entrance robe. Glad to see an updated Solo (E) and Roman Reigns (UE) and also happy to see some great FTIL like Grayson Waller, Roxanne, Cora Jade and LA Knight. The Maivia family 3 pack looks brilliant. Also, the legends line continues strong. Love series 21 (hogan related) and series 22 is also looking great with Captain Lou and The Sultan. Coliseum Collection line also looks great and is becoming a favourite of mine. Some good stuff to take away. The last thing, I am a UK collector so a little bummed out that there is so much more coming as store exclusives. Like the 3 packs, Monday night wars and ultimate legends lines announced, as much as I want them my only choice (like most) is to get on the secondary market at triple the costs. I wish Mattel could work something out here for international markets. It certainly seems that SDCC 2023 will be known as the year of Hulk Hogan. How many hogan figures are coming? Amen, brother! And to answer your Hogan question... not enough 😄. |

Updated the Initial Thread with all the known lineups. Did I miss something and Legends 22 is only 3 figures? I was basing it off the WWE dot com photo dump. I'm not sure... they only showed 3 figures (Albano, Sultan, Hogan) on RSC's Instagram too. |

I've done a 180 on Nicholas - I don't want/need any of the Wrestlemania XL set, so I'm actually happy it's a BAF I don't want. And it's cool if it's a BAF that some people (like Fighter Hayabusa's son) really want. It's cruel irony that the one and only time I wanted all the figures in a PPV set, I didnt actually want the BAF 😄 (last year's SummerSlam wave/toddler Dominic).

Why is everyone saying Ali isn't in demand or wasn't wanted - when we have NO IDEA how many they made?? Honestly, they could have seen the demand/trouble people had last year and doubled (or even trebled) the quantities for all we know...
And personally, I think his Retro figure fits in brilliantly with the other Retros they've been doing.

I know Mattel like spreading releases out - but given the Steiner's "outspoken" nature, just give us the early '90's UEs already... all their other looks can wait.

It's not too bad, really... most standard UEs/imports are £45. And I paid well over £50 for the UE Legends Batista... 🥴 Well Bret hit amazon UK and I got him for like £26. I really would recommend us UKers hang tight cos I think Warrior will too. Yeah, I think Bret was the only one released internationally (as there's no writing/bio on the box). Batista and NWO Macho were both quite expensive though... Hopefully, we'll get Warrior on Amazon/like Bret 👍. |

Just seen Ultimate Edition Summerslam 91 Warrior on two UK retailer sites is priced at £50, I can’t justify paying that. It's not too bad, really... most standard UEs/imports are £45. And I paid well over £50 for the UE Legends Batista... 🥴 |

I'll be the one to say it, but I'm okay. The last Macho I bought was the WCW Target exclusive and it was more or less what I wanted for my collection. There's some other Macho's I've wanted throughout the years, but nothing drastic imo. Sucks for those who had this figure on preorder and were really looking forward to more Macho's. I wouldn't mind if we didn't get any more Warriors either, but that's more to see the meltdown on the forums lol. Yeah... I've only bought 1 of the last 4 or 5 Elite Macho Man. I'd have liked this UE - and a Coliseum Collection figure, but after that, I'm good. Same with Warrior... I'm getting there with Hulk and Bret too (and others). |
