Just give me the UE 18 figure and a Coliseum Collection figure (with sexy robe) and I'm good for Macho figures. Hopefully we'll get them... π€

Anyone else notice that this is 100% a WM7 Macho Man render on the side of this box? Good catch!

I hope they do a Raw is War next. Mainly to see how the conversations go when it donβt get backed either. Unfortunately, Steve has let it be known through some comments that any large stage wonβt be attempted anytime even near soon π€·ββοΈ

I'm kind of disappointed in the UE Bianca Belair... I thought she'd at least come with a belt or a 3rd head. I know she has that fluffy/soft-goods jacket, but the whole package doesn't seem very much for an UE figure(?).

They did it backwards. Should've went with raw stage first, than wcw. The raw ring came out first, so a raw stage should've followed it. If the took away the stage and put the raw stage in its place. Then it would work I disagree... I'm sure Steve said without the tooling they needed from the Nitro Stage, the RAW stage would be a LOT more expensive ($100-$200). So you'd be looking at something costing $500-$600 AND something that takes up about a quarter of a room - maybe more - to display (...seriously, the RAW stage was ridiculously big). There's just not enough fans/collectors out there that would be interested in something like this.

If they ever get a new deal in place they better start pumping out some new gen neon cowboys with the jackets and stuff. Give him the Hogan treatment. I mean, they pretty much have - it's just been spread out over 12 years, rather than the "all at once" we're getting with Hogan. The only reason we're getting all these Hogans is because they've got a lot of catching up to do...

I can totally understand why some people don't think Becky belongs in this set - and it has nothing to do with her being a woman. She just isn't "up there" with the likes of Hogan, Rock and Stone Cold - simple as that. It should only have been Cena or possibly, Roman. ANYONE else - male or female - would have stuck out too.

If a retailer is willing to give them the space, Mattel isn't going to say no. Hopefully this sells well and opens the door to future opportunities. More slots for figures is a win for collectors. This was the case when the hof sets came out. And they got cancelled. True, there's more collectors nowadays but it still remains to be seen. I'm not sure it's a good start, as it seems such a strange/random set... I don't think I've seen anyone say they actually want all the figures(?). Now if they did Elite 4-packs of various factions (NWO, DX, Hart Foundation, Evolution etc.), I'd be all over them like a rash...

You can argue about what was shown, but to me it felt like they showed a lot of stuff Me too. I don't think they'll ever please all of the people all of the time though, as we all want/collect different things: Elites, Ultimate Editions, Legends, Retros, Superstars, Flashback figures, WWF, WCW, ECW, Golden Era, New Gen era, Attitude era, Ruthless Aggression era, current era/roster, NXT... there's a lot to cover(!).

I think it was pretty obvious since this was leaked that it wouldnβt sell as well as past exclusives, weird choice. Although this board doesnβt speak for the whole collector community, Iβd never known such a dull reaction which did speak volumes and even some of the big name reviewers on YouTube etc were unsure about its popularity. They may well have made lots more of this one but regardless, itβs such a small window of wrestling appeal and nobody cares about having a boxing version. Hopefully this pushes Mattel to get back to more Wrestling central item next time but doesnβt scare them so much that they increase appetite but reduce the volume available. Gotta disagree there... it would be crazy to have the licence for Ali and not make one in his boxing gear. Same goes with Tyson (if they ever get the rights)... even though we never saw him in his boxing gear in WWE, I'd definitely want a ring-gear Tyson (as well as a suited/Austin confrontation and/or a DX version).

I do think they should have got their main early '90's/tag-team look out first though (preferably as Ultimates), then concentrate on the others. I'm not surprised they didn't though. They almost always do this with newly signed guys. They come out with lesser desired looks first, then eventually get to the more favoured looks. This tells me they have many more planned. Just hope the Steiners keep respectable until that time.
Really need a WCW Big Poppa Pump. Don't want another Jeff Jarrett on our hands.Yeah, that's what worries me. "We had big things planned..."

I honestly think you guys are clutching at straws or adding 2 + 2 and making 5. Even with the lack of Macho Man figures, it would have been what, 2 new ones being shown? Wouldn't have made much difference, especially to all the Hogans being shown. The crowdfund failure would have nothing to do with the spate of figures being shown. That's just nonsense. Their budget probably just got slightly bigger for figures because of it, so I doubt that they chose to show "less" because a crowdfund failed. And the Steiners thing - nothing's a guarantee yet. They're not on Hogan/Macho/Warrior/Austin level. Since when have B-tier wrestlers had more than one figure in a calendar year this quickly? Not frequently, that's for sure. No-one is entitled to another slot shown at SDCC. And FTITL figures rarely get more than one figure in a year. Plus they could easily be announced as Ringside Exclusives later this year. I do think they should have got their main early '90's/tag-team look out first though (preferably as Ultimates), then concentrate on the others.

I will say tho guys these Hart Foundation attires are slightly different to the elites. These are actually based from wrestlefest 1988 where as the elites were mania 6! Within the LJN time period = acceptable!

Personally, I really like what they're doing with the line - they seem to be releasing figures that pay homage to the original LJN ones, while not being exact copies/reproductions. I didn't want Terry Funk in green chaps or Roddy Piper in red trunks... I'd rather have their more well-known looks. Basically, as long as the attire is from the '84-'89 LJN period, that's fine by me. Iβm in the same boat. Not to mention the Jake the Snake boots. Personally, Iβd have preferred Piper to have the red ringer shirt, but I might end up displaying him in his trunks now. Donβt get me wrong, I totally understand people who want Ultimates identical to the LJNs, but if this is our only chance of getting some of these characters in Ultimate form I donβt mind the changes to try and be more representative of looks most fans think of for those talents. Me too... it's the iconic Piper shirt. While we're at it, I'd have preferred his red kilt too - all the photos of him on the back of the LJN card (and 16" figure) have him in the red kilt - and it was more comon for that time period.
