Just seen the MIB pics of UE19... I think this set is a mixed bag:
Bianca Belair - looks pretty underwhelming for an UE, tbh. No title belt either... I can see this figure warming badly
Bobby Lashley - not bad... but the "McDonalds" gear really lets the figure down, imo. For probably his only UE figure, I think it should have been something from his Hurt Business/WWE title run (and come with the WWE title)
Kurt Angle - gotta admit, I really like this figure. I know the torso is too big, but it doesn't look too bad (compared to the UE Eddie). I like the cloth singlet (sorry) and the headscans are great, lol. I would have preferred the blue singlet (from when he first won the title), but I like this attire too.

Iβd like a Hulk Rules Ultimate Edition only because itβs the most iconic look. Two shirts one Velcro, one not. Other than that, I feel like Iβm good. Itβs not like Macho Man or Warrior where they had so many looks. I really hope they get Mach signed again. Although if these big stars arenβt signed, maybe WWE would be more inclined to get LOD and Demolition back in the fray to help sell more merch. ...we've HAD all their major looks though? There's only so many looks of each guy you can do, lol. Besides, Macho and Warrior have been a constant in the line since the start (about 13-14 years)... Hogan has only been in the line for around 3-4 years total. So no wonder we're getting far more Hogans now.

Action Figure Attack Is there any reason why we didn't get this particular Roddy Piper hairstyle for his UE. It was a pretty distinctive look in his career and my favorite look of his. With that being said, could you possibly advocate for it? It's a huge WANT. Also, any updates on any adjustments or fixes to the WCW UE Piper? Like red kneepads and burgundy boots. What attire was this figure based on? Thank you Steve Just to add to this... PLEASE can you fix/change the kilt to the red tartan one? (I don't think he actually ever wore the one the UE figure has during his time in WCW/the MNW?!).

As others have said, we definitely need a Hulk Still Rules UE. Wouldn't say no to another NWO/Hollywood UE either (with the tan)...

All red (w/dark hair) UE version is probably my main want. With a matching UE Hall...

I'd be content see UE Hart & Piper updated & fixed with correct attires. This could be biggest botch in some time otherwise π₯΄ REALLY hope they give Piper the correct kilt* - they couldn't release him with that one they showed... could they?? π³ (*it's a skirt!!)

Really wish we could have had another Edge UE... preferably a RA era one. Surely Mattel new his WWE deal was coming to an end? π€·ββοΈ

You will all remember me as someone who took RSC to task for upping the price on the Bray figure (which I think they deserved). I think they'd be within their rights to not fulfill and refund the people who paid for the chase Paul Bearer. It was clearly a mistake based on years of past practice; others might disagree (if you put it up, you're responsible) -- but I'd think they are still in their rights to do it. Yeah, they'd be within their rights to not fulfill the chase Bearer orders and refund people - but it would be a great gesture on their part to honor that original price. I guess we'll see...

I'd like to see some FTITL Ultimate Editions... especially Legends that haven't had an UE figure yet.

I made the decision along time ago that when Mattel stops, I stop. It'll be hard - but I can't start over again. I was there for the Hasbros, the Galoobs, the Original ECW figures, Jakks & now Mattel. No, can't start over again. π₯΅ Ah, you say that now... just wait 'til you see them though. π€

Who cares? It's a package. Tons of other toys have windowless boxes. ...plenty of people, actually (just ask Hasbro π). Even if you're not a MOC collector, it's still nice to be able to see the actual figure/what you're buying.

Pretty sure Steve said they made more - and have sold more - of the Ali 2-pack than any previous SDCC exclusive. Just because it hasn't sold-out doesn't mean it wasn't successful. Made more which meant they spent more to make them. They may have sold more, but how much of a bath have they taken on the remaining stock though? For the record, I just want to stress this again: I am not trying to βdoom and gloomβ here. But people act like 2023 has been a stellar year and it just hasnβt. And itβs not just this line. I was just pointing out that the Ali set has actually sold very well/more than any other SDDC exclusive (when you said it hadn't sold as well)... That's all.

This recently happened to Hasbro. They had a very rude awakening with their Marvel Legends line and how unhappy their most passionate customer base were with products. They had the balls to make drastic changes and it worked. They are still in the middle of doing the same thing with their Star Wars line. This is what baffles me the most about the packaging change. You literally watched the largest toy company in the world change their boxes to windowless, despite everyone and their mother saying they didn't want that and their sales across the board plummeted so badly they slammed on the breaks 3 months in, promised to go back asap, and even then the damage was so bad it put the Power Ranger line on hiatus. So galaxy brain decision making to get as close to windowless as you think you can get away with. It cost you nothing to do what already worked, you got to see what the possible backlash of doing something like that is without losing anything yourself, but lets play with fire anyway. It really is a strange choice... these companies can talk about "saving the planet" all they want - but bottom line, if their sales/profits are affected, they'll go back to using all the plastic they possibly can. It would make such a big difference to the overall look of the figure/packaging if this tiny bit at the bottom was plastic...

Iβm gonna go ahead and start this conspiracy theory. SDCC Ali not selling out caused them to push back CC Piper/Steele and cancel WM40 basics. They have too much inventory at Mattel Creations to launch another set of UE two packs and they donβt want a basic Ali option preventing people from buying the UE. For a conspiracy pulled out from nothing, this is probably closer to the truth than βTKO has ruined everythingβ. I know when they announced this basic line I was like βuhhh, did I miss something? Have we even seen these? Also wow, youβre just going to do ref Ali for $10?β I wonβt pretend that this hasnβt been a rough year for Mattel though. Two failed crowdfunding projects, pricey exclusive not selling as well as previous ones, cancelled figures lines, MOTU Origins all but dead at retail for over a year. The list goes on and on. Pretty sure Steve said they made more - and have sold more - of the Ali 2-pack than any previous SDCC exclusive. Just because it hasn't sold-out doesn't mean it wasn't successful.

If they made a new line of them - on Legends cards - then I'd definitely be down for it.
