This isn't about Cesaro.
This SURELY isn't about Punk. HHH is too smart of a businessman to let the podcast get to him.
Remember last summer with that report after Bryan's Gauntlet on Raw against Swagger, Cesaro and Ryback? And we were all laughing our asses off at the visualization of Trips and Ryback silent in a room, with HHH periodically yelling "CARELESSNESS" in Ryback's face?
Trips just doesn't wanna get hurt.

I definitely see where the OP's coming from. I mean, he's kept the reasoning a secret for almost a full year and essentially dodged the questions since, giving off the impression that it's only the business of himself, Vince and Trips. It was even to the point where close friends like Paul Heyman, when asked the question, basically said who in the blue hell knows, only Punk knows the true reasoning.
And then all of a sudden he decides to share everything openly on a podcast? I could see sitting down with Colt in a private setting and airing it out, but for someone who kept everything so private for so long it's a tad confusing he decides to share it with the world.
Believe me, if he came back it would be mind-bogglingly satisfying. Something seems kinda up. But there can't be. For whatever reason, there can't be.

If Reigns' overall performances (matches + level of crowd interaction when he's around + promos) from the Shield's separation until September, warrants a Wrestlemania main event in year 3, God only knows what Ambrose should be doing. Dude started slow but he delivered with f'ing everything and was more entertaining in any single week than Reigns was collectively within that 3 month period.

Wanna steer clear of the controversy; I'm happy for Punk for airing his grievances and all that. As long as he's happy with his decision I could care less considering the stuff he's given us.
I will say this though: WWE missed a massive opportunity by not billing Kane as "the man who ended CM Punk's career." (Obvious Joke)

Why were both of them double-booked in the first place? Not only did they completely sh*t on Sheamus' momentum going in but they did NOTHING to build up to it on Raw save Cole shilling it constantly. Why not have a pull-apart brawl or something during the show? Plus, kayfabe-wise Triple H, an American, should have been trying to help Sheamus instead of putting him in two matches. Yes, both Trips and Rusev are heel but you'd think when you employ a guy who badmouths your country you'd either fire him or punish him in some capacity. Because HHH had a segment wanting Rusev on his team so he can keep his job? Oh. Didn't see that...makes sense in context but you'd think somewhere during Rusev's run he'd get some discipline for his actions. Like kayfabe-wise Punk got suspended for saying he wishes Vince dies but Rusev kicks a soldier and gets nothing. |

I'm calling Kayfabe. I'd inagine if it was that serious, that they would invite Bryan to make the announcement on Raw in person or via satelite. They wouldn't have the top draw have abnouncements made through third parties. If he isn't back for Survivor Series, he'll be in the Rumble. I'm hoping this is the case as well. I mean, for something like this they'd either have Bryan himself or Cole come on and say that. Big Show making the announcement (of all people) doesn't add up to me. |
