Did you honestly think it would stay at $9.99 per month? I'm pretty sure that most people, myself included, expected it to be more than $9.99 per month at first and when it was announced at that price, I fully expected the price to go up at some point. Honestly, no I didn't. I said in my post, even 20 bucks a month is a great deal, it just isn't for me with my current financial situation. Ah, I misread.

I enjoy the network but if it flops maybe it'll teach WWE you can't shill out garbage and expect peoples money for it.

I am also dumb founded that more fans don't have the network. It's amazing that they will shell out hundreds of dollars on wrestling figures, cheap tshirts and PPVs but won't subscribe to the network. It's so cheap for everything you get, it's the cost of a lunch. If you normally get 2 PPVs a year, you already save money by getting the network.

I love the network. It's investors freaking out that they're not getting an immediate return on their investment.Look back at Netflix and their stock. It took four years before it really started climbing. I know Netflix is much bigger, but for streaming purposes, it showed that patience was rewarded for hanging around and WWE investors should take a similar strategy in the network.
In the long run, I think the network will work out and once it's released worldwide, subscriptions will be plentiful.

I'm also dumbfounded that people are shocked that wrestling fans, second to maybe only Nightmare on Elm Street fans when it comes to not liking change, haven't switched over to the Network. People have been trained over decades to buy stuff on PPV, some of them would rather pay that premium for PPV if they still have the option because they find it more convenient for whatever reason.

Well there ya go. Getting rid of the $10 a month model would have been stupid.

It's so cheap for everything you get, it's the cost of a lunch. If you normally get 2 PPVs a year, you already save money by getting the network. There aren't many fans that are buying PPVs, figures, t-shirts etc that don't have the network... That would only apply to older people who don't "get" the Internet, or don't have good Internet coverage where they live. WWE only has five million people watching Raw -- its flagship show -- each week. That's five million people who will watch wrestling on Monday nights for free. Only a small portion of that viewership is likely to want to pay for more wrestling in their week, especially after another two hours free on Friday night. And because a good portion of that five million are people living in the same house (husband, wife, kids etc), that won't result in multiple network subscriptions. The network is a great deal and a great product for hardcore fans who have time on their hands or make watching wrestling a priority in their free time. Hell, I'd say it's the best value product that wrestling has ever put out. The trouble is that the number of hardcore wrestling fans who do have/make that time for wrestling -- and who will pay $10 every month for it -- is just much smaller than WWE pretended/expected.

I have a couple hundred cassettes tapes and plenty of DVDs and I still love it. 20$ a month? It looks like the new payment plans are either $60 upfront for six months, or $20 per month with no commitment. No word on if the $9.99 per month is completely gone. 9.99 will still be available

Sucks that people lose their jobs over this, though.

Here's what I found weird. 700,000 people bought the Wrestlemania PPV. That's on top of the 650k subscribers the network had. I find it crazy that 700k would rather pay 60 bucks for one PPV than 60 bucks for 6. I agree with the above response to my comment that most wrestling fans hate change

And a lot of network subscribers double-dipped because they didn't trust the network to provide a solid stream for Mania. And a lot of wrestling fans do hate change. A hell of a lot of wrestling viewers are over fifty years old.

Supposedly in Canada it is going to be a pay channel and not include the classics library. Yikes. well, there goes my subscription. only reason i was hyped for it was the full snme eps and older ppvs.

What do the #WWENetwork & the #XFL have in common? They're both BIG failures
