Well, as the author of this post, here's what I have in mind....and I already posted a previous post about every detail I would want in this new scale which I will bring back later...
I'm just thinking MAYBE everyone would be happy with it because it may have room for the entire roster plus legends...because...they would be cheaper than we're paying for elites and basics now thus they might sell better at retail which would mean we would get more of them, and I'm just picturing like a GI Joe type figure with every accessory making them complete figures to buy and collect. More detail to come later with what I've got in mind. They would be cheaper, and they would make more room to collect more since they would be smaller, and 3 3/4" isn't too small to detail the suckers out, or their accessories/rings. Look at the star wars figures like that, they're phenomenal. I just think it would be perfect for someone like me who has done this my entire life, and has limited space and limited cash. Not to replace the standard elites and basics we all do get today, but I just think it would be cool and maybe we could even get names such as The Gobbeldy Gooker, Superstar Billy Graham, Sunny, The Briscoes, Bruno Sammartino, names from way back and the names that Mattel has said they won't make because they won't sell. If they were done right and were cheap enough, I bet they would. That's just my opinion guys.
Btw, I hate the rumblers and flexforce crap too. The reason why the rumblers are selling so well is bc they're making most of the roster and they're cheaper to collect, and honestly the accessories are pretty cool too, not that I buy them bc I don't.

I can't wait for it. I hope it's gonna be good. Everybody look up my other posts about it. I think we need a little saving here in the collector community. I sense a general tiredness of what's out there, and what's not out there, right now. Am I right?

@vanhooten Man it doesn't matter if it's my voice or yours, if any of us have good or great ideas we all need to voice our opinions. Whoever or whatever it takes to get the word out there, ya know?

I spear-headed a thread about this subject a month or two ago. I gave my ideas in it and I love this idea if all of my ideas come to fruition. You guys can click on my name and the name of the thread is "About the new scale". Too much info to type again here. But go see what I said about it.

I'm chomping at the bit for any, even the tinniest info on the new scale. And for those who haven't seen my post what I personally would like to see in the new scale please do so and comment, especially you MATTEL! I want this thing to pretty much trend on here!

In 2004 McDonalds introduced a spicy chicken sandwich. It was a high profile ad launch. I loved it. It was the best thing on the menu by far, much better than the more popular French Fries and Big Macs. I ate at McDonalds at minumum twice a week to eat the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It is a minor miracle I did not completely clog my artieries and drop dead. In early 2006 I read that McDonalds was pulling the Spicy Chicken Sandwich off the menu forever due to poor sales. I was crushed and legitimately sad about this. I ate at McDonalds every day until they stopped selling the Sandwich. A sad reality is that sometimes you can put out an amazing product and there just aren't enough people that are willing to buy it. As the designer of the Legends line I am extremely proud of the line, and I would go so far as to say in my completely biased opinion it is the greatest wrestling action figure line ever ( I had a very distinct advantage in that I was able to build upon what other companies before me had done well, and every company before Mattel has done some amazing work). But sometimes you are the Big Mac and sometimes you are the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. 2 words for ya...NEW SCALE!!! Read my post!

As the author of this post, here are my reactions to the previous comments... -I love the idea of GIJoe-like figures for this line. That's originally what I thought of it. -I never even messed with the Build N Brawlers but I still think Mattel can far outdo that. -Figures + Vehicles=Happiness! Would love to see all of those! -If done right, I think even the most cinical critic would love these. -Maybe we could even get Ricardo Rodriguez!!! Overall, I love the vibe on this post.

I'm not even talking Build N Brawl style, but if it equals all inclusivity and accuracy, ok then. I think Mattel can do better than Build N Brawl, in my opinion.

that Jakks comment brings up another point, please have this new scale IN scale like now, where Cena, Rey, Big Show, and Taker are all they're correct sizes. Jakks, heck no.

No they'd just be adding a new line, not scrapping anything at all.

All inclusive covering the entire roster, and everybody in Legends. I love that Lex Express bus idea. They could do things like that. And yes, I look at those smaller scaled figures in stores too and think WWE would be great for that. In my opinion, everybody wins with this. Yes, I do like the Elite figures too, but I'm running out of space, and $$$. I'm a completionist, I gotta have it all.

So I just watched the newest Q&A from Toyfair w/Bill and Tim and I popped when Bill said they were working on the new scale for Spring '13. I'm a LIFELONG FAN AND COLLECTOR of WWE(I turn 30 this year if you're wondering, so I'm not stupid) and everything wrestling figures, you name it I have it, and the way he put it over talking about "giving us what we need" but in this new scale and cheaper price, I couldn't be happier about the news. Now, as someone who is looking forward to this, Bill if you're listening, I can only speak for myself, but here's what I want... -for the figures to have the essential accessories just like the Elites but for this style of figure that's coming out, even though it may be smaller basic -of course, and I know this will be the case, as much detail in the smaller scale as possible hopefully matching the standard 6"figures -Bill talked about this possible new ring that would come out for the basic figures, how bout that kind of ring(s) for this scale too! With the right color posts and steps and accuracy that they need to have. -oh yes, steel cage, elimination chamber, hell in cell, every kind of specialty match and ppv event and show, Classic and current represented in the rings -could we finally get entrance stage(s)? -and that leads me to the last thing about it: PLEASE make Legends/Flashbacks in this new scale w/every bit of detail possible that they need to have. Again, I only speak for myself, but I think not only would this be beyond cool, but it could potentially solve a lot of problems for both us and Mattel if this is done right. I mean as far as pricing, produciton, retail, sales, etc. As an adult fan, I would love this. As a matter of fact, I REALLY want this. How long has the standard been 6" anyway? May be time to change it up a bit. And, kids might take to it too. This is what I want, but I only speak for myself but I'm a lifelong fan who knows. I'm sure there will be plenty of collectors who disagree with me and that's ok, again I'm only giving what I want and speak just for myself. Hopefully I'm wrong on that. I'm not asking for the same mass volume you produce for the main lines now, but enough to get this stuff available. This would be cool to me. Thanks so much Mattel and Bill(s)!

There is speculation that the Legends might go away now...Maybe if they were in a 4 inch scale with still every bit of detail and accessories, then maybe they'd be cheaper thus people might buy them along with the other superstars figures and stuff in this new scale and thus, stores would carry them more, etc etc. I'm just thinking out loud here. For me, this new scale would be to replace my collecting of the 6 inch figures. That's the only way I see it to work. Inflation sucks.

A new scale added to what they already have will make more money for Mattel. Not sure why everybody is comparing other lines or thinking that it's taking budget away from other lines like basic and elite. I for one would like smaller scale so that the figures would be cheaper, for example smaller figures with Elite articulation for the same price as a basic. Plus Mattel can make tons of accessories. If Mattel did this, I would stop buying Rumblers. Mattel did ask for opinions on this question last year but it's not like they listen to us anyways. My thoughts exactly. This is more my wavelength of thinking of it, I want as inclusive a WWE figure collection as possible that somebody like me who has a limited budget can go with, not to mention limited space.

...the proposed new scale? I for one would be interested if only it was done right. I see figures of different entities at retail in both the 6-7inch and the 4 inch and I think it would be cool, like I said, if only done right. Any news Bill(s)?

The Gobbeldy Gooker. I'd pay $100 for one. It looked absolutely stellar at ComicCon. And Giant Gonzales, too. And, well, I do want everybody ever, but it really saddens me that I won't get that particularly loveable Survivor Series mascot immortalized in Mattel plastic:( But this completionist is gonna keep on wishing anyway.

well...I'm all for brass knuckles, but I'm for everything really. I'd love to see them as well as every other weapon or prop used throughout wrestling history, things like a pole and things to put on that pole to have "thing on a pole" matches, as well as slammy awards, the Raw Roulette wheel, just anything and everything.
