About 1988-89 is when I started watching whenever I saw it was on. I was drawn in by Rick Rude vs Ultimate Warrior. Then the mega powers explode angle made an impression. Granted I was 7. I was never really a big Hogan fan for some reason. I really got into the Rockers as well. After about 1992, I lost touch. But HBK brought me back in 1995. Since I was a fan of the rockers, his climb was intriguing to me. From that point I was a huge Shawn fan and watched every week until I got to college. I still watched a good bit of those early - mid 2000 years but I wasn’t into it like I was the 90s. When Shawn retired, I think that really did it for me. I try to keep up with it some but it’s just not the same. Some of that is the product and some is the fact I’m older. NXT drew me in and I had heard of Prince Devitt and then saw wwe signed him, so I watched that. Now I will check in and see how Balor and AJ are doing, but that’s about it.

My post to you was deleted for some reason. so I'll say it again its because Angle's body is just as broken down as Bryan's, maybe even more so Okay? This is a thread about Kurt Angle's return match. Not Daniel Bryan's. You people just need to get over it. What do you mean with “you people”?!?!?

Does this mean those that “went off” on Neville for walking out will apologize? Probably not. But hey, that’s the world we live in.

My second most tag team storyline I wish had a chance to play out. The first being HBK and Austin in 97.

You don't always give people what they want. AJ will be champion again, they are just going in this direction right now.

Have we gotten a Jericho other than entrance greats? I don't consider the latest DM attitude era.

The thing is, people make comments about how WWE treated Sting when he did finally join. I honestly don't see what the problem was. WWE gave him a high profiled match at WM. A great DVD career retrospective. A HOF induction. Sounds to me like WWE gave Sting everything he had asked for. Remember Sting only signed on for a short term deal so he could get his WM moment. And he has often said he wanted to go out on his back since that was the tradition. So that loss at WM meant nothing to him. He always intended on losing that match no matter if it was Taker, Triple H, or anyone else. He was just happy to be involved. Plus he was booked to look great in that match too. Triple H needed interference and a sledgehammer to keep Sting down. As for the Rollins feud, that was just a cherry on top. It was never in the plans. I'm not sure if it was the hype Sting got, the impression he left on Triple H, Rollins begging, or even his merchandise sales. Maybe a lil of each? But WWE brought Sting back and moved him straight to the top of the card. Shame he got hurt because who knows how long he could have stuck around. People put too much value in wins and losses at times. They can't get over the fact how crazy that match was and how it took a sledgehammer to beat him.

Ideally I would want 1999, but since that wasn't an option, I'd say 97. Considering how wcw blew the biggest angle they ever had, I would rather sting just jump.

May be a stretch for some and back then, it would have been too soon for Warrior to lose it, but I'd pick Rick Rude at SummerSlam and Warrior could have gotten it back at Survivor Series. However that would probably screw up Slaughters reign. I was a fan of Rude though.

He mentioned on Austin's podcast that he actually wanted to go to NXT first. I enjoy NXT as a brand, only wrestling show I watch on a regular basis. I read this as him going to their performance center for training, that is a slap in the face I'm sorry. Well, the WWE ring is bigger than most rings used by others. Guys like Fergal Devitt and Kevin Steen also went through the same thing. They aren't teaching him how to wrestle, more just getting him accustomed to the style.

Still wish it had been HBK. Had the motive and we would have gotten him back way earlier than what we did. However, I know he still had his "demons" then. I'm in the minority though, I loved 90s shawn more than 2000s shawn.
