It's a beautiful Monday morning/afternoon in Vegas! ;D  Gonna have some fun around town until Wednesday, which is open workouts day and Thursday, which is press conference day. Friday should be good because there are a few other events going on before weigh-ins at the arena. Q&A with Frank Mir, and Rampage and Chuck will be playing the new UFC game while using PRIDE mode, which is something I can't wait to see. |

The Mandalay Bay hotel is showing UFC fights 24/7 here. Pretty awesome.
The activities start Thursday afternoon, with the press conference and media questions, continuing on Friday with autograph sessions with Joe Lauzon, Melvin Guillard and Dominick Cruz, which I won't be checking out because I'd like to get a good seat for the Q&A with Mir. 3pm I believe is the UFC Undisputed 3 challenge with Rampage and Liddell, and the weigh-ins are at 4pm, then after that there is an after weigh-in party at the Mandalay Bay events center, which I actually am invited to thanks to Mr. Edgar.
Then of course Saturday is the event at 2:45pm.

^ How about the people that said James Toney would beat Randy Couture?? Or those that said "Wanderlei by murder" in his fight with Chris Leben?? Those are just as, if not MORE outrageous than when I picked Forrest by KO over Anderson and I don't see you guys talking about that.... And I don't believe I ever said Frankie COULDN'T finish a fight, I said I WANTED to see him finish one for once and he delivered in a big way. I was just so tired of Frankie getting decisions all the time and was dying for him to finish one for once and he did. Good for him. But, I'm sorry James, you are smoking the same stuff I was when I made that ridiculous prediction. Cro-Cop will NEVER KO Roy Nelson. He hasn't KO'd ANYONE in the UFC thus far, so I have no  ing clue how you can possibly think he can drop "Big Country" when the #2 Heavyweight in the world couldn't do it. You are ing loopy if you actually believe Cro-Cop can KO Big Roy. It'll never happen and not if, but WHEN Cro-Cop gets dummied again and carried off the mat like his last two fights, I'll be here ready and willing to accept your apology. Just for you James....Just for you... Schaub ing dropped Cro-Cop dude!! And you don't think "Big Country" can't do the exact same thing?? Come on man....I'm sure Big Roy punches a hell of alot harder than Schaub does and I'm sure Schaub will tell you straight-up exactly how hard... I don't think Cro-Cop can take a solid punch anymore. He's almost like Chuck and Wanderlei now. And knowing Cro-Cop hasn't knocked out ANYONE in the UFC, I think it's just absurd that you actually believe he can KO Roy Nelson...That's just ridiculous. I think Roy Nelson is real tough. One of the toughest fighters out there. Not too many people would feel good about standing and trading punches with Junior, and he did it. He'll always have my respect, but I think Mirko comes into this motivated and not caring about anything else. It's his last fight on his contract, and possibly his last fight ever. The way I saw him at the work outs, he looks good. Roy does too, but I think Cro Cop just lets it all hang out Saturday. That's been his problem in his last few fights, pulling the trigger. It's not like he's gotten technically worse, because he hasn't. He just needs to be confident.

Making a prediction and then how something actually plays out is two completely different things. Doesn't really make sense to say something like "Wanderlei by Murder" is outrageous just because Wanderlei lost in the end. I think that's why people always bring up your Forrest knocking out Anderson. It wasn't so much the fact that Forrest was made to look like an amateur. But even if the fight was a back and forth war, the prediction of a Forrest KO was simply ludicrous.
On a side note, I wouldn't exactly say Wanderlei can't take a solid punch anymore. In the UFC, he got knocked out by Rampage and Chris Leben dude. Now, if he got knocked out by Mr. Pillow Hands himself, Michael Bisping, then that'd be a different story.
As far as this card, looking forward to it. Obviously lost a lot of its spark when the title fight was dropped, but it should still be good. I'm surprised they didn't bump up the Cerrone/Siver fight. Shame.
