WWF Prime Time Wrestling April 17th, 1989 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" HeenanNotable Matches: King Hercules def. Bad News Brown via DQ. Brown uses the scepter and attacks Hercules with it for the DQ. Brutus Beefcake def. Iron Mike Sharpe via submission. Brutus puts the sleeper hold for the win. Sensational Sherri walked out during the match and distracted Brutus. When Iron Mike was thrown to the outside she slaps in the face and tossed him back in the ring. After the win, Brutus follows her to the back and is confused as to why she came in. Gorilla: You know Brain, do you think it was Brutus Beefcake that Sensational Sherri was talking about after Wrestlemania V went off the air? Heenan: What are you talking about...wait she did say the word beefcake if I recall I thought about it too... Gorilla: Why don't we take a look back at Wrestlemania V (clips are shown of Sherri in Beefcake's match and her words to Macho Man). Heenan: Seems obvious doesn't it? Gorilla: She seems to be making advances to Brutus, do you think...I find it hard to believe that he would join up with the likes of her. Heenan: Who wouldn't be with a woman like that, she's more woman than the so-called First Lady of Wrestling. I don't think Beefcake will resist. ___________________________________ Hulk Hogan promo: First I want to say congratulations to the Macho Man Randy Savage for finally saying what is in his heart to Miss Elizabeth brother. He showed me and my little Hulkamaniacs that sometimes you win some and sometimes you lose some and I've come to accept it. Whatever happened to us when the Mega Powers exploded is in the past and I hope one day I just hope one day we can unite the Mega Powers for one more match brother. But till that day comes, Hulk Hogan is ready to take on all comers especially you Big Boss Man. You've been on my back for some time and I just can't wait to get back in the ring and beat you down for the 1.2.3...(poses)

WWF Superstars of Wrestling April 22th, 1989 (Apr. 4 taping) Civic Center, Glen Falls, NY Commentary: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" Ventura
It's the Brother Love Show and Brutus Beefcake comes out with the Million Dollar belt. However Love gives him the bad news that he has a letter from Million Dollar Man's lawyers that due to the fact that the belt is not recognized as a Championship title in the WWF, it could not change hands and stays on as the property of Ted Dibiase. Sherri comes out... Sherri: Are you kidding me? This belt...o my...this belt has all these diamonds (stares at the belt around Beefcake's waist and she starts to feel the belt)...wow it's so big and shiny.... Beefcake: Sherri, with all due respect, it seems that this belt is not mine though I know all the fans know that I won it fair and square. So I have to hand it over...(takes off the belt as Sherri grabs it) Sherri: Wow...it's too bad you know...too bad but I think another belt will look better on you. Beefcake: What are you talking about? Sherri: Come on...you know I have to admit, I've had a crush on you for sometime but when you won this belt...wow I just knew (hands the belt over to Love who places it on a table near him), I just knew you were the one. Beefcake: Umm..okay...I don't know what to say really I don't this is just... Sherri: Think about the future (softly touches his cheeks) Love: I think we're seeing love here tonight (laughs) Sherri: Let me help you get a better belt a real championship belt (grabs his arm and takes him backstage as he looks confused). ____________________________ A trailer is shown for the upcoming movie "No Holds Barred" starring Hulk Hogan releasing on June 2nd, 1989. Vince: What a movie! I can't wait to see it in theaters everywhere on June 2nd! Jesse: Of course because I'm in it and any movie that I'm in is a success McMahon. Vince: I don't doubt that but how much movie time are we talking about... Jesse: That's none of your concern, you'll just have to see it yourself.

Saturday Night's Main Event May 27th, 1989 (Apr.25 taping) Veterans Memorial, Des-Moines, Iowa Commentators: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" VenturaRick Rude (c) (w/Heenan) def. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka via pinfall to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship______________________________________________ Brutus Beefcake vs. King Hercules for the King's Crown
Brutus and Hercules are in the ring and they both shake hands to start the match as a show of respect. During the match Sensational Sherri walks down the aisle and is at ringside. Beefcake notices her and looks at the crowd. Later on Hercules is trying to get up on the ropes, Sherri grabs the scepter and smashes it over his head. Brutus had no idea and manages to get the sleeper-hold on him and the win. Winner: Brutus Beefcake via submission.
Sherri runs in the ring with the scepter, cape and crown. Brutus looks at her and she places the cape around his back and then the crown on his head as he seems confused and their is some heat from the crowd. Brutus celebrates with Sherri in the ring as they leave together. Jesse says that Sherri has definitely found her new champion and the King who will one day defeat the Macho Man, as Vince can't believe it. ______________________________________________ Hulk Hogan vs. The Big Boss Man (w/Slick) in a Steel Cage MatchThe Big Boss Man is waiting in the cage and Vince wonders where Slick is. Zeus walks out with Slick and makes his WWF debut as he's standing near the corner of the cage. Hulk Hogan makes his way out and as he gets closer he notices Zeus. Slick is talking trash to Hogan. Hogan can't believe it and starts to Hulk up infront of Zeus. Zeus attacks the Hulkster with his finisher three times as Hogan is outcold on the outside. Zeus walks to the back with Slick. After a commercial break, Boss Man got Hogan mack in the cage as the door is closed and the bell rings. Boss Man takes advantage of Hogan landing punches and elbows. Boss Man asks for the cage door to open early on and is about to win, but Hogan manages to grab a hold of him and it's almost a tug of war as Hogan uses all of his strength to bring him in. Hogan who still sells the attack earlier, tries to land punches, but Boss Man attacks him. Boss Man hits a backbreaker, german suplex and gets to the second rope for an elbow drop. He decides to climb the cage. Hogan is extremely exhausted and it looks like Boss Man is about to win till Hogan climbs after him and does one of the greatest bumps Hogan took in WWF history...a SUPERPLEX from the TOP OF THE CAGE! The crowd goes insane. Note: It was obvious that Hulk had to limit his spots in the WWF compared to his Japan matches. One has to think business, he's the top guy and a huge liability if the top guy was injured by taking spots it was a huge risk and Hulk/BossMan took a risk as this spot and they did again at MSG later. After both men are practically out, Hogan drags himself with Boss Man behind him as Hogan finally makes it on the outside for the win. Winner: Hulk Hogan via out of cage.
______________________________________________ Randy "Macho Man" Savage (w/Elizabeth) (c) vs. Rick "the Model" Martel (w/Slick) for the WWF Heavyweight ChampionshipRick Martel walks in with Slick and Vince and Jesse talk about how he betrayed Tito Santana and that Santana is desperate for a match with him. Macho Man comes in with Elizabeth and Martel and Randy go at it. They put on a fast pace match trying to repeat the Steamboat/Randy match at Wrestlemania III. Randy hits a double axe handle from the top. Martel manages to rake his eyes, land punches and hits the ropes for the diving crossbody only for Randy to toss him on the outside fast when the dive was made. Martel sold it so well that he manages to hit the railing and the crowd goes wild. Macho goes to the top ropes and hits a double axe handle on Martel on the outside. He tosses him back in the ring, Martel counters with a small package, but Randy rolls him in the smallpackage for the pin and win. Winner: Randy "Macho Man" Savage via pinfall to retain the WWF Heavyweight Championship
______________________________________________ The Demolition (c) def. The Brain Busters (w/Heenan) via DQ to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships At the end of the show Vince talks about how Zeus was in brought by Slick because he's a professional wrestler (obvious kayfabe) that was in No Hold's Barred the movie and wants to challenge Hulk Hogan in real life. They show a trailer of No Holds Barred to endthe show.

Love: O my o my who is the challenger for the WWF Champion? Sherri: Why don't you call her out so I can do it officially. Liz: (Macho Man's music plays and Elizabeth comes out to a big pop) Okay you have my attention. Sherri: Like I told you before I'm telling you again...as Queen of the WWF I'm deposing you as First Lady, because the next true First Lady of the WWF is going to be me (laughs)... WWF Superstars of Wrestling July 8th, 1989 (June 6 taping) Dane County Coliseum, Madison, WI Commentary: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" VenturaJune was a slow month on TV as the focus was on promoting the No Hold's Barred movie in theaters, but it was a big month on house shows. Randy Savage went up against Hulk Hogan and Rowdy Roddy Piper in face vs. face non-title matches. He won most of the matches by Countout and was pinned once by Hulk Hogan on June 24th and pinned once by Piper June 30th, though Piper returned the favor and was pinned by Randy the next night. None were televised. Brother Love Show with Slick: Love: Slick I got to know because I've heard now that Zeus has signed a contract with you for you to manage him. Slick: That's right Brother Love, the Slickster has now the greatest family in the WWF. I got the Twin Towers with the Big Boss Man and the near 500 pound Akeem. I'm also managing Rick "the Model" Martel whose going to beat that punk Tito Santana and now I have signed on the man who will end Hulk Hogan's in-ring career...and after that he'll go after the World's Heavyweight Championship. Zeus: (walks out) Ahhhhh! (beats his chest) Love: Six foot nine (kayfabe) 340 pounds of muscle...o my Welcome to the show Zeus...their calling you the "The Human Wrecking Machine" and I must ask why are you here in the WWF. Zeus: (stares at the camera) Hulk-Kogan...Ahhhh (beats chest)...I'm coming for you Hulk-Kogan.... Slick: He's obviously upset. I mean after he was in the movie No Hold's Barred he realized that his full potential cannot be shown on the big screen. As a man who has travelled around the world (kayfabe) and beaten up the best around, he has come to the WWF to beat you down Hulk Hogan. You don't deserve to be the hero of that movie, and it's ending? I left five minutes before it ended because I didn't want to see Hulk Hogan do to Zeus... Zeus: (grabs the mic) You listen to me Hogan! This is my home now! This time we battle in the ring, not in a movie! I'm going to destroy you Ahhh! (grabs the podium and smashes it on the ground and starts beating on his chest) Slick: Zeus don't worry you'll get your match I promise you o ya! It doesn't matter who you are, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Andre the Giant, Ted Dibiase...doesn't matter he's coming after you all!

Gene: And what about what happened to the WWF Champion Randy Savage earlier tonight? Hogan: Well after all the battles Mean Gene, after the Mega Powers exploded at Wrestlemania V, after being choked out by that monster Zeus brother, I would not blame him if his body just gave up for a second and got back up. I just hope he gets enough rest and gets better soon brother because the WWF is nothing without the Macho Madness. Gene: And of your match tonight... Randy: (let's go of Love) You have no business out here Sherri...or should I call you Scary Sherri ya...that's your new name! Sherri: It's Queen Sherri...Queen! Randy: Why don't you turn around ya turn around and scadadle! Sherri: I'm out here for one reason only and that is for you to put that title belt on the line against my man...the King of the WWF...King Brutus Beefcake. Randy: To prove to everyone out there that I'm in the best shape of my career I'm going to accept your challenge and I'll put the title on the line at SummerSlam ya! Sherri: Great! (Brutus Beefcake has a steel chair and walks up behind Randy) Elizabeth shouts for Randy who turns around and is met by a chair shot over the head by Beefcake (the camera tries to pan away). Randy falls on his knees and Brutus hits another chair shot over the back. Elizabeth grabs a hold of the chair and tosses it away. Brutus grabs a hold of Elizabeth as Vince is going nuts on commentary. Brutus holds unto Elizabeth from behind and Sherri gets a cheap shot over Liz's face as she's knocked out cold. They leave. After a commercial break, Randy who is bleeding starts to finally move on the ground as WWF Officials check on the both of them and he notices Elizabeth on the floor and he drags himself over her shouting her name. He jumps up and pushes WWF Officials aside. Brother Love has the mic and says he's sorry about what happened to the Macho Man. Randy: (Brother Love wipes Randy's blood away finally showing some quality) Ah!! Why...why...why did he do it! (jumps around as he pushes other WWF Officials trying to help Liz who is finally moving on the ground as she tries to get up) ah!!! Elizabeth!! Why! (falls on his knees) You're going to pay...you're going to pay Beefcake (goes around the stage dazed and confused)...you touched my woman didn't you both of you you hurt Elizabeth o god ya...ya..Sherri you're going to pay! (speaks softly) Ya...Ya... that's right (collapses). Elizabeth notices Randy and tries to help him as WWF Officials surround the stage. Roddy Piper says he's never seen anything like this and can't believe it. At SummerSlam Randy "Macho Man" Savage will defend the WWF Championship against King Brutus Beefcake.

WWF Prime Time Wrestling September 4th, 1989 Host: Gorilla MonsoonHighlights of SummerSlam are shown. Gorilla hypes up a new PPV event, "No Holds Barred: The Movie/The Match", which is set to take place on September 24th. The event will let viewers get a "sneak peak" to watch the movie "No Holds Barred" on PPV BEFORE it's released on VHS/Betamax/Laserdisc in October. And fans will be able to watch a live PPV match featuring Hulk Hogan and a mystery tag team partner to take on Zeus who will be selecting his mystery tag team partner for a "No Holds Barred" Tag team match. Note: This was a real PPV that happened but in December instead of September. It had a low buyrate and by than the movie was already available at retail and was just way too late...there was no real incentive to watch the PPV other than the one match. Here there is a big Tag Team match being setup and the incentive to get a sneak peak at the movie on PPV is actually there. ________________________________ Zeus promo with Slick: Zeus: You Hulk-Kogan I'm waiting for the No Holds Barred PPV Ahhh!! You only got lucky at SummerSlam! Slick: That's right Hulk Hogan, you only got lucky. You're jealous of this big man who you know is the one man to beat you down power to power, strength to strength, and so we are challenging you for this tag team match with no rules! King Beefcake: (enters the room) That's right Hulkster! The Slickster has asked me personally to be Zeus's tag team partner. And I'll be happy to join in this new alliance (laughs) Zeus: Ahh!! (beats chest) I'm coming for you HAK! ________________________________ Gorilla Monsoon says that he's amazed of this new partnership and doesn't know who Hulk Hogan will ask to be his partner. He says that although he would love to see Randy Savage as Hulk's partner, the Mega Powers are broken up. Gorilla: Speaking of the Macho Man, he has met with a specialist to check up on him and we're glad that he's going to be alright. The WWF is happy for Savage who will be able to continue performing in the ring. On the other hand King Beefcake has the WWF Championship belt, in which WWF President Jack Tunney has ordered for the belt to be returned to the Macho Man.
