WWF Superstars of Wrestling December 23rd, 1989 (Nov. 20 taping) Market Square Arena, Indianapolis, IN Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" Ventura
Show opens with Jimmy Snuka opening up Christmas presents early on and he starts to play Wrestlemania the video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (note the cover below is a fan made one, while the original cover had Hogan on the front). He recommends it as a hot buy for Christmas as well as WWF LJN action figures even though there's one day left. Brother Love Show with Rick Rude (Dec. 13 taping) Love: I love you...my next guest is the WWF Intercontinental Champion Ravishing Rick Rude! Rude: (comes out without Heenan) Thank you Brother Love you're one of a kind you know. Love: Thank you thank you but I have to ask there has been some controversy regarding the tights your wearing right now...just who is that woman? Rude: (laughs) Well first of all I came out here to say that I've proved that I am the best in the WWF. I have beaten the Ultimate Warrior, I have paid my dues have gone around the world beating the best out there and have continued to defend this championship belt. But there is another goal in mind, two goals might I add. For one I need the World Heavyweight Championship to solidify my career and secondly and most importantly, it's time I get a valet, a woman who fulfills my every needs and desires. Love: Alright it makes sense, but it sure as heck looks like someone we know doesn't it? Rude: That's for someone to find out...because if she knew what I could offer her, she would be all over me right now. Vince: (on commentary) That has to be Elizabeth. Jesse: (on commentary) I have to agree with that one. Rude: So for all you out of shape losers and good for nothing gold diggers out here, get a good look at me as we come to a close in this decade, the 1990s will start with a new era as the Ravishing one will take it by storm just as the Hulksters and Macho Men have done, I will do better.

WWF Superstars of Wrestling January 6th, 1990 (Dec. 13 taping) Von Braun Civic Center, Huntsville, AL
Notable match: King Beefcake (w/Queen Sherri) def. Koko B.Ware via pinfall
Promo from Bobby "the Brain" Heenan: Welcome to the 1990s and what a decade this is going to be because the Heenan family is regrouping. I've just signed Mr. Perfect and the Genius as they'll be working together, Andre the Giant is back with me and the family is stronger than ever with Haku. As for Ravishing Rick Rude, you have great ambitions and I know what you really want. But as for that I can't give it to you, but as for the WWF Championship, I can get you a shot, but unfortunately I won't be able too help you now. Because there is one man...(Andre the Giant enters in), one man who has been cheated out of the World title time and time again. One man who is going to first challenge for the WWF Heavyweight Championship, so you're turn is just going to have to wait Rick Rude. So Macho Man Randy Savage, if you're listening, Andre's going to challenge you for the title as the No.1 contender and to make sure their is a winner, it's going to be in a fifteen-foot high Steel Cage at the Royal Rumble (Andre laughs). So will you accept?Slick also had a promo with Zeus (who sticks around for one more match) challenging the Ultimate Warrior to a match at the Rumble. Vince McMahon announces the Royal Rumble PPV being held on the Orlando Arena in Florida on January 21st.

Macho Man promo: Oooo ya! The Macho Man has been in the ring with Andre ya when he was with the Million Dollar Man ya, but maybe you're right Heenan ya maybe just maybe you're right that we really need to see a real winner ya you got the title shot ya! Andre you may be on Heenan's side now ya but that won't stop me from climbing the cage and beating you ya!
Rick Rude promo: Alright Bobby Heenan I respect Andre the Giant enough to allow him to get a World title shot before me, but I'm going to say it'll be his last time because whether or not he wins, I'm still going to go for it. And maybe you can't give me what I really want. So I'll just have to do it myself. I will do it soon, and I'll show her that she's been with that scruffy-looking loser for far too long and she's missing on something so-thick and so-good...(takes off robe) just look at these abs...I know you're watching. Vince: Just sickening, how could he just... Jesse: Forget about it McMahon, Rick Rude is more Macho than... If anyone is interested in another alternative story with Macho Man as the World Champion in early 1990 one could look here: Jake the Snake ScandalRoyal Rumble 1990 January 21st, 1990 Orlando Arena, Orlando, Florida (16,000 sell out) Hosts: Tony Schiavone (last PPV appearance) and Jesse "the Body" VenturaUltimate Warrior def. Zeus (w/Slick) via pinfall. This marks Zeus's final match in the WWF and doesn't appear for the Battle Royal. The Hart Foundation def. The Twin Towers (w/Slick) (c) via pinfall (Hart Attack on Bossman) to become the NEW WWF Tag Team Champions. Akeem blames Bossman and starts attacking him in the ring. Bossman strikes back and also bodyslams Slick to a pop, marking their breakup and Bossman's face turn. The Bushwhackers def. The Rockers via pinfall.Rick Rude (c) def. Hacksaw Jim Duggan via pinfall to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Rude still has the "Miss Elizabeth tights" on. Heenan didn't walk out with him for the match as Tony mentions that he's preparing for the World title match. ________________________________________ Randy "Macho Man" Savage (w/Elizabeth) (c) vs. Andre the Giant (w/Heenan) in a STEEL CAGE Match for the WWF Heavyweight Championship. Jesse: This is the last chance for Andre the Giant, Tony, the last time he can get his World title back. Tony: I have to agree with you on that one! Andre promised earlier (in a promo) that it's now or never. Randy enters the ring with Andre waiting. He starts on the offensive, but Andre chokes him and lifts him up and slams him to the cage hard as it shook (it looked like the cage would collapse). Andre starts to choke Randy with his foot. Andre lifts up Randy for an irish whip as Andre tried to hit a clothesline but misses as Randy hits a flying elbow. Andre is wobbly, Randy goes to the top rope and jumps on Andre's back for a sleeperhold. Andre is started to fade and he finally lands on his knees. Randy breaks the hold and hits the ropes for a dropkick. Andre falls. Randy starts to climb the cage but Heenan starts to climb the cage to grab Randy through the cage. This bought enough time for Andre to get up and drop Randy. Andre shouts for Randy to get up. He shouts when he bodyslams him (as Andre is legit in pain). Andre asks for the cage door to open, but Randy manages to jump on Andre's back once again for another sleeperhold. Andre falls quickly and is fast asleep as Randy squeezes hard. Heenan strangely finds a bucket of water under the ring and tosses it over Andre to awaken him. Andre starts to awaken and starts to slowly get up as Randy tries to put more pressure on him. Andre is up with Randy on his back and he tries to go back to slam Randy to the cage, but Randy manages to climb the cage by jumping on Andre's head and making it over. He makes his way down as Heenan climbs the cage to attack Randy. Andre asks for the cage door to open. Randy decides to jump far down and falls. Heenan falls on top of him and the bell rings. Winner: Randy "Macho Man" Savage via out of cage to retain the WWF Heavyweight ChampionshipAndre realizes he loses and looks around the cage. Heenan gets in the ring and starts to shout at Andre that he had it won. Heenan slaps him and Andre gets angry, as he lifts Heenan for a chokeslam and the crowd goes wild. Jesse: I can't believe this Tony, how could he do that to Bobby Heenan! Tony: It's about time I say! Battle Royal: Hulk Hogan enters at No. 25 out of 30 and cleans house in the ring with the Ultimate Warrior waiting for him as they are alone. Warrior and Hulk look at each other as the crowd is on their feet to see this just as it was last year. Warrior and Hulk grapple, they hit the ropes back and forth hitting shoulderblocks to test each other's strengths. Later the Honkey Tonk Man and Barbarian are trying to get Warrior out and Hogan assists them to get him out. Hogan would win the Royal Rumble last eliminating Mr. Perfect.

WWF Prime Time Wrestling February 5th, 1990 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" Heenan Gorilla: Tonight we are announcing that The Main Event will be shown live on NBC on February 23rd at the Joe Loius Arena in Detroit and of course, on April 1st is the big one as we'll be travelling to the Great White North in Canada for Wrestlemania VI at the SkyDome in front of 60-70 thousand screaming fans and you won't want to miss it. Heenan: I can't wait because Andre the Giant is going to get it at Wrestlemania when Haku beats him up silly and retires his sorry 600 pound rear end. Gorilla: O give me a break. Alright folks we'll be revealing more of the amazing lineup we'll have in store for you at Wrestlemania VI and of course the main event, which has been debated for sometime and we are standing by with an official announcement from WWF President Jack Tunney regarding the main event for Wrestlemania VI: Jack Tunney: It has come to my attention that the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion Randy "Macho Man" Savage has accepted a challenge from the current WWF Intercontinental Champion, Ravishing Rick Rude. Such a match of such magnitude has never been done before as both contenders want to put up their respective titles on the line for this match. After careful review of WWF Regulations and after speaking to WWF Officials, we have made a decision to allow such a match to take place just this once, never before in the history of the World Wrestling Federation, for a match like this...that will take place at Wrestlemania VI.
Therefore the main event at Wrestlemania VI will be WWF Champion Randy "Macho Man" Savage versus the Intercontinental Champion Rick Rude, champion versus champion...title for title in what would be one of the greatest matches in WWF history. Thank you. Gorilla: There you have it Brain Heenan: I'll be there to support Rick Rude all the way, but he's got to stop and think what he's going to do. Because I know what he wants and he'll push the man to the edge Monsoon...I just know it.

Brother Love Show with Miss Elizabeth (Feb 13. taping) Love: I love you...I wanted to bring out the First Lady of the WWF out here because I got a lot of questions to ask her. I know that her man the Macho Man Randy Savage is off tonight...but Miss Elizabeth was nice enough to accept this interview and was invited to be backstage tonight...so why don't you come out hon...come on out. Liz: (walks out) Hi Brother Love. Love: How are you darling? Liz: I'm doing well. Love: And how is the Champion of the World doing? Liz: He's doing great, never better. Love: Well that's nice to hear, but first of all I want to make certain things clear. I'm not sure if you've noticed but you're man is facing the Intercontinental Champion at Wrestlemania VI...champion versus champion, title for title...don't you find it strange... Liz: Macho Man will win at Wrestlemania VI and walk out with both belts Brother Love. Love: My o my...now that is something. But haven't you noticed for the past few weeks what that man, Ravishing Rick Rude, a ladies man of sorts, what he's been wearing? Liz: (looks down and coughs) No. Love: Well why don't we bring him out here (Liz gets shy) Rude: (Rick Rude walks out with a robe to some heat) First of all tell all these out of shape good for nothing half-men and their ugly wives to shut-up (gets heat). Now Miss Elizabeth, I've been waiting for the day to get you alone without that nutcase of a man you've been dating for how long now? Liz: That's none of your business. Rude: (laughs) Really? None of my business because when I look at that beautiful finger of yours (grabs her hand and feels it gently), it's got no ring. See he doesn't own you, but has treated you like he does. Love: Now now Rick Rude she's my guest... Rude: When I look into your eyes, I see the most beautiful woman in the world...you are absolutely gorgeous Love: She's blushing wow she's blushing! (Liz pulls her hand away) Now Miss Elizabeth I want to know your reaction to this...show her...(Rude takes off his robe and shows his tights with Elizabeth's face on the front and her bikini bod on the back) Rude: Feast your eyes on this Elizabeth (Liz stares and looks away, then she looks again and laughs a little and holds her mouth) You do like what you see? Liz: No I don't (fans cheer) Rude: (looks upset) Come on now Liz, can I call you that...don't you think you'd want a man who can fulfill all your desires? Liz: (looks away) No I already have a man who does. Rude kisses Liz on the cheek and she slaps him (to a pop). Rude gets angry and Love calms him down.Rude: Fine fine...but I know you'll like this.. Rude rips off his tights to reveal his infamous g-string and the camera pans away as women are screaming in the background and Love tries to cover his behind. Liz goes back and starts to laugh and smile till she actually gives a peck on Rude's cheek. Vince and Jesse are both going nuts on commentary as they can't believe it. Liz walks away as Rude has a big smirk over his face and puts on his robe.Vince: What in the world is going on! Why would she do that! Jesse: I have no idea maybe she liked what she saw but this isn't good this isn't good at all. I don't even think I want to be around for when Randy returns from his day off that guy...I don't even think I should sit here with you McMahon. Vince: I wouldn't want to be Rick Rude when Randy sees this!

Hulk Hogan Shoot Interview in 2012 Interviewer: Alright we're heading into Wrestlemania VI, now before I talk about the Ultimate Challenge, can I ask you about the whole deal with Rude and Elizabeth? Hogan: O man you had to ask (laughs), brother it was crazy...there was a lot going on, going into that in the back. Some of us didn't want to work with Rude after he beat up the Warrior... Interviewer: Like yourself? Hogan: (laughs) Well ya I mean don't get me wrong he was a great worker, and I get why he beat up Warrior for saying that Rude was a nobody but brother it was...the whole thing was weird even before the feud began. Interviewer: How so? Hogan: Well from what I remember Vince told me personally that the Warrior was to be the next guy to carry the WWF...maybe the plan was Randy could drop the belt to Warrior or I would, but I wasn't really for it I hope Randy realized that I didn't think Warrior was ready to carry the company...I mean he (Warrior) was already set up as the third big face of the company, but to go over myself...not to sound cocky...but I was still the biggest draw in the WWF with Randy in a close second and sometimes we tied...he'd sell out shows you know...while Warrior wasn't drawing a whole lot. I recall an MSG main event where Randy and I were not billed and it was Warrior as the top billing and he couldn't fill half the arena. I can't say but I think maybe Randy felt that he could work a program with Rude for Wrestlemania and Vince went along with it. Interviewer: So you're saying he played the political card? Hogan: Well ya, but I also think it was about me too...maybe because when you think of it I was still promised the title and he knew how much I never would have a match with Rude I mean I did do house show matches with him before but after how he beat up Warrior...forget about it I didn't want to work with a guy like that never would. So I guess maybe it was a rib I can't say, but I felt that Rude was positioned that way as a main eventer. So no matter who won at Wrestlemania, I wasn't going to get the title that quickly. Interviewer: So how did Randy and Elizabeth feel about the whole thing with Rude...I mean the peck on the cheek was pretty crazy and later... Hogan: O ya that was crazy for sure I'm surprised Randy let that happen or even Liz and we know Randy was jealous always jealous you know...all of us in the back were surprised that it went so far. I know Rude was married at the time, but maybe Randy just felt it was good for business you know...maybe he felt he wanted to show Vince that he was worth investing into even further...I got to give it to him it was a hot feud.

The Main Event February 23, 1990 (Live on NBC) Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, Michigan (was chosen to be closer to Canada) Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" Ventura
At the beginning of the show Vince McMahon announces "The Ultimate Challenge: Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior" to see "who is the most powerful force in the universe" as a second main event at Wrestlemania VI. Rick Rude (c) vs. Tito Santana for the WWF Intercontinental Championship
Vince mentions how Tito Santana as he was coming out, was a former Intercontinental Champion and it was Randy Savage that beat him for the title. Rude gets in the ring (without Heenan) and has his "Elizabeth" tights on as he poses in the middle of the ring. Tito Santana dropskicks his back and he falls outside of the ring as the bell rings. Tito gets on the outside and starts landing punches as Rude runs into the ring and as Tito gets in Rude lands kicks and lifts Tito for a vertical suplex, however Tito counters it and lifts Rude for the suplex and drops him. Tito Santana gets to the top rope and hits a diving clothesline for the pin to two. Tito hits the ropes for a running crossbody and pin to two. Tito once again hits the ropes but Rude lifts him and hits a backbreaker. Rude bodyslams him and hits a DDT for the pin to two. It's an irish whip and Rude bends down for Tito to kick him and hit the ropes for his flying forearm finisher and the pin to two. Tito thought he had it won. Soon Miss Elizabeth walks out to much of a shock. Jesse: What the heck is she doing here McMahon? Vince: I have no idea! Tito has a chinlock on as Elizabeth is at ringside watching the match. Rude gets up and lifts Tito for a german suplex. He notices Liz on the outside and starts to ask her what she's doing. Rude does his pose for her as she holds her hand over her mouth. Suddenly Tito gets a roll up for the near-fall. Tito goes for a piledriver but Rude reverses it and drops him. Suddenly Randy Savage runs down the aisle and gets in the ring for Rude to notice and get to a corner afraid as Randy jumps at him and starts to land punches. He strips Rude down to his g-string and uses his WWF World title belt to beat his rear with it as the crowd laughs and cheer on. Rude rolls on the outside as Randy threatens him. Rude is on the outside and grabs a hold of Elizabeth. Randy jumps out and starts pointing at him in anger. He pushes Elizabeth to Randy and runs away as Randy runs to the back. ______________________________________ Hulk Hogan vs. King Beefcake (w/Queen Sherri) in Singles competition with guest enforcer World Boxing Champion Buster Douglas (originally was to be Mike Tyson but he lost to Buster) Near the end of the match the referee is knocked out cold and Buster Douglas gets in to officiate. Hogan Hulks up and hits the three punch, big boot and legdrop for the win. Winner: Hulk Hogan via pinfall.
Beefcake gets angry and blames Buster till Buster knocks him out cold with a punch. ______________________________________ Backstage Randy is looking for Rick Rude. Mean Gene approaches him for a word, but Randy tells him to get out of his face. Another camera is on Rude who grabs a WWF worker in the back and asking him for pants. He wears the jeans and tries to find a way out. Suddenly Randy jumps out at him and he lands punches over and over again saying he should've never touched Elizabeth. Rude grabs a WWF referee and pushes him to Randy as he starts to run again and Randy chases him ______________________________________ The Ultimate Warrior vs. Dino Bravo in Singles competitionThis was a match of strength as Warrior finally lands a gorilla press slam to win the match. Winner: The Ultimate Warrior via pinfall.______________________________________ The Ultimate Warrior is celebrating in the ring as Rick Rude makes his way back out and starts to plead with Warrior to help him. Warrior is confused and looks at the crowd. Randy Savage makes his way out and runs in the ring as Warrior clotheslines Rude for Randy and runs to the back. The crowd is going wild. Randy grabs a hold of Rude and whips him to a corner and hits a running clothesline and scoopslam. Randy signals his finisher and jumps for the elbow drop but misses as Rude rolls on the outside. Rude now who is shirtless, but still has the jeans on, runs into the crowd. Rude starts climbing the steps as Randy who holds his arm is up and angrily looks at Rude ending the night Vince: I can't wait for Wrestlemania VI! Jesse: This is an outrage, you can't strip a man in the ring that way on national television and humiliate him no matter... Vince: After what he's done to Elizabeth? Jesse: What business did she have out here Vince? I doubt she came out to cost Rude the Intercontinental Championship, why would she want Randy to lose that opportunity at Wrestlemania? Something just doesn't smell right with her. Vince: We'll just have to wait and see!

WWF Prime Time Wrestling March 5th, 1990 Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby "the Brain" HeenanHighlights shown of the Main Event and Superstars incidents with Liz & Rude. Heenan: I told Rude not to go after her...but now it seems that she really does want him. And that's a man with ambition Monsoon, that's the next Heavyweight Champion of the World and I'll be managing the first ever Intercontinental and World Champion. Gorilla: It's hard to say I mean she's been with Randy for all these years and we have yet to hear from him. Heenan: Now they're together because I've got some shots of Miss Elizabeth in a hot tub with Rick Rude. Gorilla: Are you kidding me? Heenan: Take a look at this picture and tell me that isn't her? She wants Rude badly, I mean what woman wouldn't? Take a look for yourself... Gorilla: I don't know what to say honestly... Heenan: Well get this Vince McMahon is standing by in her own condo for the interview and you're going to hear it here on Prime Time Wrestling Monsoon... Miss Elizabeth interview with Vince McMahon:Vince: Miss Elizabeth there has been a lot of controversy over the past few weeks and recently you kissed Rick Rude on national television, but at the same time it almost seemed at The Main Event you almost cost him the Intercontinental Championship. If you could tell us what's been going on... Liz: I've never felt...never felt for anyone this way. Vince: For Rick Rude? Liz: Yes...Randy I do still love you...but I can't control it...there is something about him about Rick that made me move out of Randy's house...I had to leave. Vince: O my...so what does this mean...whose corner you'll be at Wrestlemania VI? Liz: I first wanted to say sorry to Randy (gets teary)...I'm so sorry but I've made my decision and I'll be on the side of Rick (wipes her tears away) Vince: This (takes a deep breath)...comes to all of us as a big shock. After all my years in the WWF the two of you have had a beautiful thing going, and I'm surprised that another man has come between the two of you. You said you still love Randy... Liz: I do...I do (hides her face) But...I don't know I can't say I just feel it with Rick. Vince: The allegations of an affair between you and Rick... Liz: Rick was right...he was right just how much longer would I have to wait for Randy to ask me to marry me? Vince: Well last year he did declare his love for you. Liz: (shakes head) That isn't enough for me anymore. I want to be with Rick...I know now I do... Vince: Wow...there you have it folks from the words of the First Lady of the WWF, Miss Elizabeth. Gorilla Monsoon for most of the show stays silent as Heenan practically takes over.

WWF Superstars of Wrestling March 17th, 1990 (Feb.13/Mar.6 tapings) Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" Ventura
A repeat of Hulk Hogan vs. Dino Bravo was shown from last Prime Time Wrestling show where Earthquake attacks Hogan and Warrior makes the save, but Hogan doesn't want help. Jesse: I told you McMahon there was no way I could get a proper interview with the Macho Man, he's a complete lunatic and probably shouldn't be in a match at Wrestlemania. Vince: Well up next is the Intercontinental Champion Rick Rude taking on Dusty Rhodes with his manager Sapphire in a non-title match. Rick Rude (c) vs. Dusty Rhodes (w/Sapphire) in a non-title matchDusty Rhodes comes out with Sapphire and waits for Rude in the ring. Rick Rude walks out with Miss Elizabeth. Vince: I can't believe it Miss Elizabeth is walking out with...I just can't believe it she's going to be with Rick Rude for this match on his side! Jesse: O man...I don't know what to say about all this anymore...Randy is going to do something he'll regret, someone's gotta stop this...Rick Rude you're a great guy but you gotta stop this! Rude and Dusty are having their match and on the outside Sapphire confronts Miss Elizabeth and asks her what she's doing to her man Randy. Elizabeth smiles and ignores her. Sapphire gets in her face, till Rude gets on the outside and pushes Sapphire, Sapphire slaps him in the face as he falls flat to a big pop. Liz helps him up as he gets back in and Dusty goes for the sleeper-hold finisher, however Rude manages to counter for a quick Rude Awakening and win. Winner: Rick Rude via pinfall.Jesse: This is why he is the best in the world today, the most ambitious man I've ever met, but he just had to pick the wrong woman as his valet McMahon. Rude celebrates with Elizabeth who claps in the ring. ___________________________________________________ Rick Rude promo (without Elizabeth and with Bobby Heenan): Rude: Now that I got your woman Macho Man, I've got another thing to take away from you...the World Heavyweight Championship belt. At Wrestlemania VI, when we step in the ring, I'm going to give you the beating of your life and end your career right in the middle of the squared circle. So Macho Man you've got to ask yourself, can you take on the man who beat the Ultimate Warrior? Can to you beat the sexiest man alive who could break the innocence of Miss Elizabeth (laughs) I don't think so.Heenan: That's right Macho Man, with Elizabeth on the side of Rick Rude, there is no stopping this man, the next Heavyweight Champion of the World and you'll be sorry you challenged the man after he's done with you.

I come not to destroy the Hulkamaniacs and Hulkamania. Rude: I'm moments away from destiny, I'm moments away from the truth...the truth Gene to as to whether or not I've unleashed the madness. Yeah you heard me Macho Man, I want to see it, I've been wanting you to embrace it to the full because after I'm done with you the world will agree that I am the best wrestler ever. Gene: And what about Miss Elizabeth Rude: O she'll be by my side as I come down that aisle, as I roll into the ring and win the championship of the world, I will finally give Liz the Rude Awakening she most desires right in the middle of the ring and I'll make Randy watch as I dance over her the night away. Gene: I believe as many do that you've gone too far with all of this and have pushed Randy Savage to the edge... Rude: Like I said Gene I want to see the real madness, and tonight I'll see it first hand and crush Macho Madness once and for all like cracking skulls into dust (leaves) Gene: Well here we go folks back to your Gorilla! _______________________________________________ CHAMPION VS. CHAMPION: Randy "Macho Man" Savage (c-World) vs. Rick Rude (c-IC) (w/Elizabeth) for the WWF Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships Rick Rude makes his way out with Bobby Heenan and Miss Elizabeth on the ring-cart to huge heat. Rude walks in and gets on the mic. Rude: For all you low-life good for nothing Canadian sweathogs and for all you women out here tonight who thought they could get lucky with me you don't got anything on Miss Elizabeth...so you're going to miss this from now on as the last Rude Awakening you'll ever experience will happen tonight...for Miss Elizabeth only (gets huge heat and takes off robe as Randy's music is on) The crowd erupts as Randy Savage makes his way out on the ring-cart and he's looking extremely angry. Half-way is it goes Randy jumps ahead and runs into the ring for Rude. Rude jumps on out. Randy swings around and takes off his own robe. Rude finally gets in and both men hand over their respective belts. The bell rings and Randy starts landing punches. Randy whips Rude to a corner and another corner and for a third corner till Rude passes out and lands on the mat face first. Randy drags Rude to the middle and goes to the top rope for the elbow drop finisher early on, but misses. Rude is up, but Randy also follows and starts to land punches. Rude whips Randy to the ropes, but Randy counters with a flying forearm. Randy scoopslams Rude as Rude rolls on the outside as Randy tries to land kicks. Rude regroups with Heenan as Randy starts pointing at Elizabeth. Rude is finally in and blocks a punch and starts to land punches of his own. He lifts Randy for a scoopslam and lands a piledriver for the pin to two. Rude hits a belly-to-belly suplex and goes for the camel clutch. Randy manages to get to the ropes for the break. Rude lands kicks and a diving knee drop three times to Randy's back. He lifts Randy up for a powerslam, but Randy counters and shoves him to a corner. Randy grabs the tights for a roll up pin to two. Randy hits the ropes and lands a diving crossbody for the pin to two. Randy gets a small package for the pin to two. Rude is up as Randy hits the ropes but Rude manages to hit a spinebuster. Rude lands a DDT and pin to two. Rude signals for the Rude Awakening finisher slowly lifting Randy for it and lands it. Elizabeth gets on the apron as Rude gets up and approaches Liz asking her what she's doing. Liz smiles and gets back down. Rude finally goes for the pin to two. Jesse says he doesn't like what he just saw. Rude starts to shout at Liz as to why she did that. Rude lifts Randy and Randy counters with a german suplex and gets to the top rope to land a double axe handle for the pin to two. Randy gets to the second rope to the top and hits a diving fist drop for the pin to two. He gets Rude up, but Rude counters with an armbar and lands a backbreaker. It's a chinlock and Randy manages to counter it and lift Rude for an atomic drop. Randy lands a bulldog and pin to two. He lifts Rude for a scoopslam, but Rude counters with a small package, but no pin as the referee is asking Liz who is on the apron once again to stop trying to interfere. Rude breaks it. Heenan approaches Liz and asks her to stop and that he'll take care of everything. Rude gets on the outside and confronts Liz as Randy hits the ropes and jumps over the ropes for an amazing diving crossbody on both Rude and Heenan. Randy points at Liz and gets back in the ring. Rude makes it in at the nine count as Randy lands a vertical suplex and goes to the top rope for the elbow drop. However Heenan desperately drops Randy who falls on the mat. Heenan laughs about it though is in some pain till Elizabeth slaps Heenan hard to a pop. Jesse: What is the meaning of this? Why would she do that! Heenan is arguing with her as Rude starts to shout at both of them to stop and as Heenan is about to get violent he asks the referee to kick out Heenan. The referee kicks out Heenan as the crowd cheers on. Heenan leaves on a ring-cart very disappointed (In a shoot Heenan says he was originally supposed to be squashed by Andre earlier on so he couldn't make this match, but Andre was in too much pain do squash him so they worked it out this way). Rude gets Randy to a corner and lands punches he gets to the top for the ten punch, but Randy lifts him and drops him face first on the turnbuckle. Rude is outcold in the corner. Randy is hurt, but lands a running knee to Rude's back. Randy goes for the pin to two. Randy signals his finisher again and drags Rude to the middle, however Rude gets a small package for the pin to two. Rude starts to land punches and chops. He whips Randy to the ropes but Randy accidently knocks down the referee. Liz gets in the ring to try to get the referee up as the referee tries to get up. Rude tries to get Randy up. Rude shouts at Liz and says to take a cheap shot at Randy. Liz agrees as Rude holds Randy up. Liz instead manages to kick Rude in the groin so hard with her heels he shouts through the roof of the Skydome. Rude finally lands flat on the mat holding unto his groin in pain. Randy notices and smiles at Liz as Liz also smiles back as the referee is finally awake. Liz leaves and Randy gets to the top rope and lands the elbow drop finisher for the win. Winner: Randy "Macho Man" Savage via pinfall to retain the WWF Heavyweight Championship and become the NEW Intercontinental Champion.Savage gets both belts as Liz and Randy Savage look at each other and are laughing as they give each other a hug.Gorilla: I can't believe this! Jesse: It was a ruse all along! Elizabeth and Macho Man planned this whole thing from the beginning! I didn't know Elizabeth had it in her! Rude finally gets up and starts to shout at Elizabeth. Liz slaps him in the face and once again kicks him in the groin as he rolls right out in pain. Savage wears the IC belt around his waist and hands the WWF Heavyweight Championship to Elizabeth and lifts her up as the crowd cheers on their victory. _______________________________________________ THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE: Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior in a No DQ/Countout match.
Gorilla lets everyone know that both men have only one loss in their career and it's a toss up...only one man can win. The match goes exactly as it did as Hogan misses the legdrop and Warrior hits the big splash for the win. Winner: The Ultimate Warrior via pinfall In a shoot interview Lanny Poffo "the Genius" said in 2010 that his brother Randy Savage was upset that the Ultimate Challenge was top billing and last on the card when it should've been his match. He blamed Hogan for it, but it was Vince who wanted it that way because he wanted Warrior to go over.

WWF Superstars of Wrestling April 14, 1990 (Apr.4 taping) Civic Center, Glens Falls, NY Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jesse "the Body" Ventura
Official statement of Jack Tunney: As Wrestlemania VI came to a close and with Randy "Macho Man" Savage being declared the winner of the Champion vs. Champion match here at the WWF we wish to make it clear that a WWF Superstar cannot continue on competing with two titles due to high-demand of scheduling and WWF regulations. Therefore although Randy Savage will be recorded in the history books as a two-time Intercontinental Champion, we are forced to strip Randy Savage of the Intercontinental Championship and declare the title vacant. With its vacancy, a tournament will be held to decide who would become the next Intercontinental Champion.
As for Rick Rude, he will be getting a title shot for the WWF Heavyweight Championship once more on April 28th, in Austin Texas for Saturday Night's Main Event. Thank you.Vince: Rick Rude is standing by with his comments... Rick Rude promo: Wow...you really got me didn't you Miss Elizabeth...I should've taken advantage of you instead of playing the romantic, just to punish you for the kind of skank you'd proven to be. I really liked you, and you turned me away and screwed me over the championship of the world. Fair enough...well played...because Macho Man, at Saturday Night's Main Event I will have my revenge...and I will end your miserable World title reign for good.
